Also looking forward. I like to sometimes fly the SU-27, but the wacky FBW logic is really not easy to deal with is high pressure situations. hopefully the MiG-29 will have that mechanical feel that i like about the F-5. And all that power to unleash! Gonna be good fun. :)

Looks cool indeed! Yeah. Every time i see a pic or vid like that I cross my fingers that the tailhook doesn't break. :D It just looks so flimsy.

4 month later the Hornet is still in early acces. You just have to accept that it's not a finished product and bugs will appear until development is done.

Here is one that i haven't seen reported yet. With a STT lock, press DATA OSB on radar DDI and change the memory timeout. Unlock target and radar is now very odd. elevation doesn't respond to input and azimuth will go out of bounds. radar uncontrolable.trk

My guess is that you shouldn't be able to select PDI manually since it's the tracking mode for the Sparrow. Probably just a WIP thing.

IIRC the MiG-29 is limited to 4.5G with a CL tank. Wonder if that's modelled? *EDIT: Or was it until CL tank was empty?.* I think it was mentioned in an article by an F-18 exchange pilot flying MiG's in luftwaffe. Might be a local limitation to extend servicelife.

One thing I noticed is that the override switches for the wing and CL tanks doesnt work respectively for override or stops transfer from all regardsless which switch is on or off.

Have you considered that it might be the development of the F-18 that accidently screwed something up? Or are you just all-in on conspiracy?

That would probably depend on how many times you had to push the paddle to save your life. At some point it would be cheaper to replace the pilot. (It's just a game, I know) :)

A workaround for now is to have max 80° azimuth scan.

HUD is magnetic as default. Radar is true. You can change the HUD to true via HSI page.

ED probably needs to tune the elements a bit, but it will fire at you. It's just a little slow. try setting AI to high. seems to be the best skill right now.

Short answer: you cant go headon and expect to win. You need to outsmart him and maneuver so that you can take a shot and he cant because he doesn't have you on the scope.
