  1. hello. did you empty the shader folders in saved games\dcs? at the very end of your log, your VR headset disconnected. do you have hot plug disabled in dcs options? 2024-05-11 20:44:21.455 INFO APP (Main): Device unplugged: [USB] Oculus XRSP Interface i thought it would be a good test to rename the scripts folder to scripts.bak. there are seemingly script errors in the log too. PS another idea is known past issues with oculus. what version of software are you running?
  2. fair enough. though how does defender know that it is bad if it cannot unencrypt it cannot tell either way? isolate your machine and run wireshark to inspect the packets being sent from your network. its your choice and i respect your choice.
  3. to help others and yourself, you should submit the offending files to Microsoft. false positives do happen. you being a professional should always do this. ED is merely going to tell you there is no worry. this in itself should not alleviate your worries. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/wdsi/filesubmission by the way AV software slows loading times significantly.
  4. hello. go to your \Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\config\Input folder. find the module with the issue. rename the folder to moduleName.bak. restart DCS. it sounds like you have binding problems.
  5. understood. it is likely that if there was an issue at the DCS servers would be blowing up. all i can say is in my case i have not had this issue. good luck.
  6. hello. the only thing in your log is the line 2024-05-07 22:41:04.359 INFO DX11BACKEND (Main): DX11Renderer initialization (w:5120 h:1440 fullscrn:0 vsync:0 adapter:0 monitor:0 shaderErrors:1) this denotes a shader issue i think. however i have seen other posts that say a repair of DCS will improve the experience.
  7. why not do a starting point which would be closest to a possible carrier that is within the map? then tank from there? there were definitely navy planes in action over afghanistan. i get no take off and landing on a boat but...
  8. if it is suspected to be shader issues, you could empty the shader folders, load the sinai mission, let the shaders recompile. it may take a bit. "first" time can take time.
  9. also note that the tents show a white cross in a red field. international red cross is the opposite. many military combat medics use the red cross in a white field. unfortunately it also make them a target. the tents are likely trying to denote a first aid tent.
  10. hello. the log has these lines that are same in each attempt. 00000.228 STATUS: Downloading version info... 00000.335 ERROR: Conection to server 'cdn.digitalcombatsimulator.com' failed: Couldn't resolve host name 00000.335 STATUS: Servers are unable to complete your request. 11. roger. there were lots of errors about shaders so makes sense. good luck
  12. 2024-05-04 12:15:44.966 WARNING WORLD (Main): ModelTimeQuantizer: ANTIFREEZE ENABLED very little found about this message. i do not think it is what is making you freeze. have you ran a repair after removing mods? renamed scripts folder?
  13. hello. indeed. this feature is only for MT. there will be no ST at some point. new features will not make it to ST. this feature is one that will not be part of ST.
  14. lol only three?
  15. sorry i was not very clear. my intention was to answer the OP question within the effects of DCS settings. misconfigured, the settings can surely affect performance. once a clean slate is established in DCS, we can work outside of DCS to look at graphics drivers & settings, windows settings, etc. after all, DCS is such a tender animal to most and many do not have the expertise to troubleshoot without some sort of outside help. maybe a good idea to put some limits on what servers should be presenting. or at least put some clear disclaimers in the official notices about the effects of MP. the published requirements for DCS mentions nothing about MP requirements, or how server sizing or missions depth affects performance. there are many folks playing a great sim that are not technically proficient and cannot fathom the differences between SP and MP performance. this is not meant to be a DCS bashing. i am a firm supporter of ED and DCS. i have over $1200 invested in modules, terrains, and campaigns (29 total). untold amount spent on hardware just to be able to play it. i think its great and getting better.
  16. as max stated, one never has to reinstall the sim. all of the performance issues are located in the saved games folder for DCS. rename your \saved games\DCS folder to .BAK, then full repair. then run DCS without the \saved games\DCS folder. there will be a new DCS folder fresh. then copy over just the input folder from the old DCS to the same place in the new DCS \Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\config\Input (my folder states openbeta but the idea is the same)
  17. to assist @Flappie, here is a link to the procedure. i suggest "Ultimate" plan. https://systembooster.minitool.com/boost-pc/ultimate-performance-power-plan.html
  18. hello. please run the mission again and save the track after mission exit. upload to here to allow us to watch.
  19. i am honored defender is definitely better these days. in case you have not seen this, here is a screenshot of the exclusions. i saw a YT video of this procedure. another benefit i found was that my computer went from 2 minutes to get to menu to 30 seconds in DCS. null
  20. add exceptions to your current AV. you will be happy you did. hey max. i put money on zonealarm being the issue.
  21. since this thread is 11 months old, you should start your own thread and attach your logs.
  22. i suggest getting the VD sorted and test. the errors only mention the VD. the VD just happens to be something the oculus needs. there were other problems with oculus after one of the DCS patches. the issue was supposed to be fixed after last DCS patch. if the fix of VD does not completely clear your issue, then reinstall the oculus apps.
  23. i believe this has something to do with oculus quest vr.
  24. hello again in the latest log there is a line 2024-04-18 13:31:58.721 ALERT DX11BACKEND (8864): Error: Can't find precompiled shader for effect animator/gpu_animated_model.fx:DIRECTX11=true;MAX_ANIMATIONS_STACK_SIZE=100;MAX_ARGUMENTS_SIZE=3;NUM_NODES=77;USE_DCS_DEFERRED=1;. this is still a shader issue. whether it is the cause, that is still to be told. when you renamed the saved games dcs folder, this should have recompiled everything. the latest log does indicate it. also see these type of messages Recompilation process will take some time, please wait (this situation should not occur on end user PC, if there is no manual shader editing)
