  1. Why are these changes being released anyway? It's not like we have a new feature to justify the new broken features. I know multicrew is coming but it should be released all at once, not break the module months ahead of any new feature being added.

  3. I was wondering the same and while researching found a bunch of .meta2 files in the DCS\Mods\terrains\map_name\misc\metacache folders. Tried deleting them which made DCS hang on launch, so obviously they're downloaded not created on our own machines. (Then restored them with a Repair.) I assume they mean there were some vestigial ones from earlier versions so it now deletes them. No idea why something that esoteric and transparent to the user makes it to the change log when so much else doesn't.
  4. I would be nice if they would at least acknowledge one of these bug reports. Correction to my post above: You can fire manually and aim the guns from the co-pilot position, I just either forgot how to lower his sight with my mouse, or the mouse hotspot for it is gone. Key worked once I looked up the mapping. So it's just the AI that's got problems. Also finding a lot of the controls have changed the direction they rotate when clicked with the mouse buttons. And the radio/intercom selector switch pops up the annoying radio menu when set to intercom, which I keep accidentally doing as that's one of the controls that's reversed mouse click directions.
  5. Like two years after it was released. And it seem to have gone back to slow in these last two updates. They don't respond to our bug reports either.

  8. It doesn't work better than MSAA. It doesn't know what the objects were, it just smooths jagged lines. Won't help make distant targets more clear, which is the most valuable thing real anti-aliasing provides.
  9. If you don't believe me now, why would you believe me when I post photos? You'll just accuse me of turning MSAA on or something.

  11. Just verified it's working and it doesn't screen capture. It's a subtle effect and not nearly as effective as MSAA. Don't expect it to add sharpness to small, distant objects. Also, you have to restart DCS to see the changes, they won't happen on the fly just by changing the setting in NVidia Control Panel.
  12. Those are still built into DCS. FXAA isn't, so the capture might happen before the FXAA pass. I'll test here in a minute...
  13. Did you choose a country that flies the F-14? (DCS loves to limit us.) Also there's the new clock icon at the bottom that restricts the list to assets that match the mission date. (Ditto.)
  14. That's intentional and the way the real one works as it uses doppler.
  15. As it's a post processing effect, it might get applied after the screen capture. I seem to recall losing FXAA in screen captures back when I was still using it. You'll see it easiest in the effect it has on the radio and chat text.

  18. Why would bugs not be publicly known if not exactly because they ignore our reports of them and refuse to acknowledge them? And I don't know where you're getting your list. Certainly not from the change logs.

  20. They haven't even acknowledged the bugs we reported in last week's patch yet. It's like they're in denial.
  21. You no longer get switched to the co-pilot position when your pilot is killed. Can't switch manually once you're dead either. Been like this for a while but still happening in OB 2.5.6.54046.
  22. Same in 2.5.6.54046 (P.S. Was wrong about the pilot not being able to fire from the co-pilot's position, just forgot how to deploy the sight on that side. Can fire it manually, just the AI won't, whether we put the sight down for him or not.)
  23. I agree the engine sound should be louder in-cockpit. It should also change character and source direction depending on the setting of the waste gates.
  24. Mine is 1.9.0.3 and isn't asking if I want to update. Pretty sure last time it updated was last Tuesday. Anyway, I'll wait for it hit the release version. Thanks.
  25. It was bearable for me before but not now, so it's not my machine specs.
