  1. Why not? The only rule about the Boost control is to not put it in advance of the throttle position. (And even if you do that, no ill effects are currently modeled.)
  2. Easier than reality. Where's the fun in that? :smilewink:
  3. Yeah, the writing on our handle is upside down. http://www.nmusafvirtualtour.com/cockpits/WWII_tour/WWII-23.html
  4. What about when the turbo is off? How is turbo power controlled? (Waste gates. Which dump exhaust straight out of the engine, in front of the pilot.)
  5. It's easy to use PageUp/PageDown for prop pitch and Delete/End for Boost. Also you can flip the latch on the boost lever (align it with the throttle first) and it will follow the throttle, which 90% of the time is what you want it to do. No need to replicate these controls in hardware, you hardly touch them after startup, other than the throttle lever.
  6. That should put the plane into an unflyable tail-heavy C of G. Even with the main tank full, they had to drain the aux first before doing any combat maneuvering. I noticed in a flight last night that once I drained the center drop tank, the wing drop tanks seems to be drained as well. Is this a known issue or should I do some more testing to verify it?
  7. Yea I tried diving it and it pulls out fine without needing the flaps. Currently you can't get into trouble in it.
  8. And a Ju-52!!!
  9. So the exact opposite of how numbers are supposed to work. Except we do still read the individual components left to right if they're double-digit month/days or the 2 or 4 digit year.
  10. I don't really see it as a "cheat". If someone prefers to have it on, who cares?
  11. +1 Any plane without one feels incomplete and weirdly/impossibly empty.
  12. Agree. Should have never been added without the option to disable it. You can drag it to a new location, but necessarily some of it will always show on the screen.
  13. Me too. Regular screen.
  14. Are there any flight model differences between the D-30 (Early) and D-30/40 due to the tail fin extension? If not, is this planned?
  15. Can't say I've noticed it. :(
  16. There's also default zoom level. It's narrower in the A-10C than in many other DCS aircraft. I edit the \Saved Games\DCS\Config\View\SnapViews.lua file and standardize all mine to the same value. Did we get our extra G in the old A-10C?
  17. I deleted the A-10C section out of the SnapViews.lua file and regenerated it by hitting RAlt+Num0 after spawning into the Cold Start mission and before making any head movements (TrackIR disabled). This is definitely the default head location. And the HUD graphics, same as before this update, don't fit in the glass. Yes, you can move your head around to get the full picture, but is that realistic? Any A-10 pilot or maintenance crew should be able to answer. A photo of the real HUD taken from normal eyeball position would be even better.
  18. Yes. The worst advertisement against buying in EA is that "completed" modules are unmaintained.
  19. This seems to be happening to random controls in many modules. They need to stick to their own conventions. Left click clicks down (or toggles a two position switch to the other position). Right click clicks up (ditto). And left/right dials/switches are turned in the direction of the click. (Not the indicator, the knob. You don't grab the indicator.)
  20. Are you serious? Nobody flies bent over forward.
  21. I think it's the same. Here's a shot I took a few days ago.
  22. HUD projection looks the same after the update. Still doesn't fit.
  23. Yeah, right.
