Den würde ich noch versuchen auf rund 800 runter zu handeln. Dabei handelt es sich doch um gebrauchte, oder nicht? VR tauglich, auf jeden Fall! Damit kommt man schon klar. Hier werden zwei Monitore mit verkauft? Meiner meinung nach ist die GPU grenzwertig schwach für VR. (Rechenleistung der 3060ti aus dem oberen Angebot ist 30-40% schneller) Da hilft dann auch der größere Speicher nicht wirklich. Ram ist auch zu wenig, um länger spaß zu haben. Muss ein Monitor besorgt werden?

Günstig nicht billig

Mit dem PC kann man sicher schon viel Spaß an DCS haben Selbst VR sollte je nach gewünschter Map auch gut gehen. Ich habe eine 3060ti und kann mit einer Rederauflösung um 4700x2500 (ca.) gut spielen, zumindest Caucasus. Marianas läuft nicht gut, dafür müssen die Settings (Waldsichtbarkeit und ähnliches deutlich reduziert werden). Die F18 läuft auch besser, als der AH64. Eigentlich läuft bei mir alles besser, als der AH64. Aber selbst der geht auf dem Caucasus. Zum Preis: Das sehe ich etwas schwieriger, da man für 800-850€ die Leistung auch schon neu kaufen kann. Beispiel R5 5600 + günstiges B550 Board, 32GB Ram 3600MHz, RTX3060ti, günstiges Netzteil und m.2SSD. Das Problem ist das gebrauchte Intel oft zu teuer gehandelt werden.

I can't complain in Half Life Alyx either, via WiFi, but DCS looked much worse on me via WiFi. So rather USB. Then simply increase the encoding bit rate, bandwidth, etc. until errors occur. Depending on the cable, the maximum is possible. I would definitely try it again, it doesn't cost anything to try it

You can doubt everything at first, I can tell you that manually adjusting the link settings has brought the optical quality very close to other VR headsets that are connected with Displayport. Rather, the difference is only a little that of the display as such. With the Quest 2, the possibilities of USB were not really exhausted. A Quest 2 and a Pico 4 still represent a solid alternative today, even if some people would like to doubt it. With the Quest 3, I think a new USB standard will be used, provided that it will even out the issue even more. So no problem at all. As things stand today and the best headset is available, there are no high-end VR headsets with USB for all signals anyway, but that too will change. USB4 will definitely become the standard

with all the bad opinions about the USB connection of a Pico or a Quest 2, I hope that everyone has optimized the link settings for themselves. Because I personally don't see any real disadvantages anymore with the USB connection. Also in comparison to other headsets that are also often recommended. The difference between the out of the Box settings and the optimized ones was big.

Das stimmt, das hört man immer wieder und überall. Ich bin mit den Möglichkeiten der Quest 2 vorerst vollkommen zufrieden. Ich bin jetzt bei 4700x2500 um den Dreh und das geht noch bis 5400x2800 oder so. Dazu dann noch die Settings in DCS maximieren, dann reicht das für mich. Erstmal muss mehr Rechenleistungher (aktuell wandert mein Kopf da doch eher wieder von einer gebrauchten 3090 zu einer neuen 4080, oder gar 4090, wenn es mich wild genug treibt). Dann mal schauen. Mich hat das FOV bisher noch nicht wirklich gestört.

Eigentlich sollen die Linsen und das Display laut HP besser sein, als bei der G1. Habe ich nochmal gerade gelesen.

Halt immer auch in Relation was man an PC Hardware dafür braucht ;). Sind G1 und G2 nicht vom Display her identisch?

I also use Quest 2 and love it. Sure, 4K on the monitor is prettier, but the feeling in VR is unattainable on the monitor. Also with head tracking. I have optimized the Quest Link and use a resolution of around 4700x2500 in combination with 2x MSAA. It looks good and makes you want to.

Na eine G2 kann denke ich schon eine 4090 relativ gut bedienen. Spätestens mit DLSS. Aber bei nochmal deutlich höherer Auflösung, wird es echt dünn. Gibt bei Youtube auch mit einer Aero Brille und das kann die 4090 bei gleichzeitig hohen Settings nicht wirklich gut.

Ich persönlich bin ja der Meinung, bevor man solche Brillen braucht, braucht es eher wieder sinnvolles mGPU (mit Aufgabenteilung / ggfs. SFR statt AFR oder halt einer anderen Art der Arbeitsteilung). Selbst wenn ED DLSS3 integrieren würde sehe ich da in flüssig und hohen Details schwarz! Solche Brillen dürften sich auch weniger an Zocker richten, wie du auch schon sagtest. Die meisten Zocker schrecken schon die Einstiegs 500€ Geräte ab.

Good morning, Can you post your settings, then we can see what you have set and what helps you to what extent. Also the Oculus settings. Render resolution and bit rate and co. I personally fly the AH64 in VR with an RTX3060TI (still) and use about 4400 x 2300 (can't remember exactly, I could check tomorrow afternoon) and 2xMSAA. This is going very well in the Caucasus. But not on the Mariannas. Post what you have set up so far.

I would say, 3060ti sounds good. plus a cheap combination of R5 5600 and b550 board. 32GB RAM. you can continue to use the EVO SSD for the time being.so you're safe relatively well positioned. with this you could even face the task of virtual reality

Der Huey war mein erstes Modul, um 2015. Ich finde der AH64 lässt sich relativ einfach steuern. Natürlich kann man über Jahre seine Fähigkeiten weiter verbessern. PS: Ach du bist das mit der tollen Erklärung, der Überbrückungszeit bis man die englischen Worte findet ;). Habe heute das erste Video von dir gesehen. Wirklich gute Videos.

Ja, habs gemerkt! Sicher macht das einen guten Unterschied. Das ist tatsächlich so. Mein Joystick ist mein größtes Handicap. Man ist permanent am rotieren, besonders beim Hover... Man merkt ständig das der nicht fein genug auflöst und auch das eine längere Achse auch sinn machen würde. Was PC Hardware angeht sehe ich das nicht so eng. Denn ich werde nicht eine magelhafte Optimierung durch High End hardware ersetzen. Demnach fliege ich bisher nur im SP und da kommt man auch ohne High End relativ gut zurecht. Mein fliegerisches können, wird sicher unter dem vieler anderer hier liegen. Deswegen habe ich auch nicht geschrieben das bei mir alles perfekt fuktioniert. Aber man kann auch mit einem relativ simplen Joystick schon gut zurecht kommen( je nach Anspruch, und für mich ist es nicht so, das der AH64 so schlecht fliegen lässt). Natürlich ist Hovern nicht so sauber wie mit einer Virpil Base und TPR Pedalen und am besten noch einem ordentlichen Kollektiv. Gerne würde ich auch bei euch mit trainieren, aber Zeit ist knapp. Vorher besorge ich mir sicher aber auch noch mindestens eine Warthog plus Pedale (Virpil), Virpil (Base und Stick + Throttle) wird mir vermutlich zu teuer werden und das wird sicher erst nächstes Jahr. Zuerst wird erst das Grundsystem gepimpt. Will halt mehr Optik erstmal und dann bessere Eingabegeräte.

Wie meinst du das? Warum soll sich der AH64 mit anderer hardware anders fliegen? Der fliegt sich auf meinem System einfach Bombe und ich habe eine sehr alte CPU.

Auch noch pro Virtuell Desktop, das ist mit dem Link Kabel sicher nicht zu vergleichen und ist klar ein schlechteres Bild, selbst heute noch. Ich hoffe, dass das sterben Meta AirBridge das etwas besser kann, sobald die Mal in Deutschland verfügbar wird. Ich habe selbst nach und nach noch ordentlich gestaunt, wie viel mehr optische Qualität sich noch aus der Quest 2 raus quetschen lässt, wenn man den Link optimiert, im Vergleich zu Stock!

I myself would like to upgrade from a 3060TI to a 4070Ti, but the 12GB VRam puts me off a bit. That's why I tend towards a used RTX3090. But I only do that if I know the seller and who will support me in a warranty case. Because a 3090 is just too expensive to buy used without having to think about it. I think DCS will only support up to DLSS 2.2 and not DLSS 3, so there is no advantage for the 4070Ti at this point. The 3090 will also benefit greatly from this. If someone could provide benchmarks of a 4070Ti in VR, with frametimes on the Mariannas, and they were good, then I would lean towards a 4070Ti. (Of course, specifying the settings, high textures would be a must for me)
