All, Looking for help. I'm at wits end. I'll be honest my experience with DCS has nearly driven me to free up hard drive space over the past couple of years but I keep hoping to complete a mission to put on a server. I wanted it to showcase a lot, and probably go to far and reign in. Now though while flying the viper, I get two harms off... And CTD. Every time. Server stays up, I can rejoin, have both harms off (every time they impact). The moment they impact I CTD. I can not read log files and get anything out of them but I'll attach. It should have, but it did not. I had to scrub the drives of everything DCS related and then do it again. Problem is it has caused a new problem that is also unplayable. I'll post another thread since it is different.

Thanks... I wound up having to completely uninstall and reinstall. None of the repairs would work.

Update: I have now done an full repair and that also did not workdcs.log.

Used the program and fifteen minutes later I tried launching again (had to shut down to do work before I even got into the game) and now the launcher just gives me a black box where it should be but never loads the launcher. Worked fine throughout the week. I've checked drivers, rolled back drivers, done a slow repair, nothing is working. dcs.log

Hello, I am looking for a group. I do not want to earn my pilot's license, but also do not want to be in the thick of things and have chaos in comms. I want to work on mission building, especially for a 24.7 server. I want something that is more grounded in reality and historical or near historical alternate reality what if scenarios. I do this for fun, stress causes me to fold up and pop smoke. I have enough stress and anxiety in life, I do not want it in my gaming space. I just want a good group to hang with and enjoy what time I get away from the world. DM me if you have a group like this please. Thanks!

Howdy, I just noticed the same thing even with a new loadout. I am doing a new download of the mod - I think I had it some months ago but never did much with it. Is there something other than doing a new loadout I need to be doing? I can not get the second tank to show no matter what I have tried. Edit: ok I heard the loadouts had to be wonky due to coding issues... Am I doing something wrong or can it not support a cheek TPOD and a corresponding wing drop tank? Or am I missing something? Cool looking mod!

I'd be interested in this as well, I'd love to stop using scripts and mods and have a self made game but skynet has been so good for me over the years as a mission editor!

Between the patch before last and this one (I have not flown for awhile) I have gone from smooth in mission editor to very choppy. I logged into the grey flag server and flew and it was mostly smooth. I went back to mission editor and took the same mission I've worked on for a year and dumped all triggers, scripts, etc and took out any mod aircraft, same effect.

I don't think that works, although haven't tested it. The last flight I did I tried getting my TGP to go into SP to get the message off the HUD and still had that huge twenty some mile error in the navigation. -

How do you zero? I'm having something similar and wondering if it is the same problem. I fly a mission in MP and when I turn to RTB my first waypoint shows proper on the HSD but is miles off on the HUD both with the icon and the distance. -
Ok, so I blanked I guess and didn't realize it would check in a switched trigger. There are other reasons to do this as well and I was struggling with the trigger logic. I'll mess around with it and get my arms wrapped around it. Thanks guys.

Assumption: Trigger zones monitor each second for a group to be in the zone. Assumption 2: Above can reduce multiplayer server performance over time or with many zones being monitored. Question: Can that be managed by having the zone only be monitored after a condition is set (say a flag)? Thus: No resources are necessary until event x happens, and then after event z the zone is deactivated and no longer using resources nor is it monitored?

Sorry, I don't get into the forums regularly because of work and I just spotted this. I managed to go into the text file and find coordinates to move it far enough to find it. It was painful as the coordinates don't all equate and required some trial and error.

Still can not seem to fix this. My bullseye is definitely off the map.

Would be nice if one could just typed coordinates in to set the thing down. I used a template and it has way to much already built into it to start over. I tried the editing thing in the mission file and it does not seem to have any effect so I'm missing a step or something.

They aren't "armored" per say but they sure are tough. Very thick steel. But yeah it doesn't seem quite right when we bomb them, but a fence will ignite when you bomb semi-close to it.

I have been working on a mission for multiplayer on Syria and realized this morning that the bullseye is off the map. I've tried a workaround I saw for the Sanai map but haven't been able to get that to work. Anyone have a workaround or fix, and has anyone else had this issue?

I just make it a target building and then build triggers if it is damage or destroyed to reduce victory points. Point is, this is a wargame. Let the end user decide how to handle this stuff. It makes it possible to blow up a vehicle sitting in front of the Syrian Library next to the MOD with a 2000 lb bomb and no damage be recorded to the structure we want to protect. Personally I'm just not a fan of enforced morality as it gets in the way of actually building a mission in a fashion that encourages players to act appropriately.

Thank you for the answer. I’m not sure I want to continue buying maps with such a policy. As a mission maker it makes it much more difficult to then score hits against those targets that are in a no attack list, and in the case of Syria very valid targets such as the ministry of defense find itself on that list. Again, I really appreciate the answer. I did not know that was ED policy.
