    I’m super excited to hear about fusing options, but there hasn’t been much after the initial announcement and I wondered if we had any update we could squeak out?
  2. Well aware of how to minimize scan times and what angles are required for triangulation as well as blind spots in the RWR gear. Damned thing just popped up and had no acquisition time or anything before launching. It’s part of the overall problem in AI they have all knowing and are like fighting terminators with perfect knowledge of the battle space. It didn’t help that I switched to a Tomcat then and spawned in with broken left gear, then spawned in and let auto start run and watched the bird slide right off the deck as the carrier made a course correction.
  3. Last night I had one launch at me at 12 oclock and the HAD and the HARM never did see it and my RAW gear had it. SMH.
  4. Doesn't matter. There are several capabilities we model for jets that we may not use, but if it is operationally possible we should have the option. If they were being pressed into service in the time frame it would have been done - it's just came earlier in DCS because we don't have a full fidelity light gray. So in many ways we don't have light gray eagles, and therefore it's the same tactical situation here in DCS. It would add so much to the module. Digital Combat Simulator. Let's simulate.

  8. Are we sure about that? There is an alic code for them and I know I’ve shot them before?
  9. Same thing with any helo - Apaches often don't fly with full loads in the latest theaters.

  12. Not what he said, he said I can hook it on the HSD, which I also thought we could do. Might be thinking of the A10, but and maybe he’s thinking that way too. BigTatanka I tried and I think it’s just not set up for it. Has me curious if it’s not supposed to be or if there is a HOTAS way of going straight to it the waypoint. Thanks all! I think it’s steerpoint for now and that helps me a lot. Good stuff.

  15. Thanks! How do you hook it? Make the HSD SOI and then TMS UP on the cross? It didn’t work for me. And I honestly didn’t realize the point was dropped in as a SP that is super useful! Thank you.
  16. So I’ve shared my ground target with IFF IN and my wingman has hit his warning reset to get it off his HUD. Now what? How does he make that a SPI and put his TGP on it? I thought you made HSD SOI and target designated the cross but I couldn’t make that work.

  18. So I had a great process that worked and now I am not sure if I’m forgetting a step or if there is a newly added glitch. To attack a high digit sam I’ll find it and triangulate or what have you until I have it in my TGP. I then drop a mark point with the TGP in SP 26 and maybe 27. I the. Dobber return, set up and get to my IP as I select SP26. Now it seems I have to hit SP, hit it again, then go to CZ to get the TGP onto the position. I then do my approach, pop at like 8 miles, and … have issues. The SP doesn’t sometimes seem to be where I dropped it and can’t be found in low magnification. Sometimes it’s close if I flip from SP 25 to 26 then I can refine and loft my CBU. it used to stay right on and I’m not sure what I can be doing different. Is there a step I’m missing? Is there a way to set the MP immediately without going back to SP and then selecting SP26? Thanks for the help!
  19. I'm still in a MP mission but wanted to start this. I had not had problems with 105s really but this last patch or two my 105s all are going to the exact same point, and three of the four had a different aim point. I was just completely accurate on the grayflag this weekend, now I am unable to even get a kill. I don't think I can post the track file as its going to be fairly long.   20. A for instance happened just now to a buddy in the 104th server. He is in an Apache and doesn't have his TAD over the hill in front of him and he got sniped by a BMP. Now friends, I've had the opportunity to be in a BMP on a couple of occasions, and even got to fire one. I used to see the antenna balls swaying on vehicles before they came over a hill while sitting in the defense from about 2k in the Abrams but in that BMP seeing anything out past a mile was pretty tough unless it was moving and I knew or suspected what it was. A hovering helo with a background so not moving really and not skylighted... Nah I wouldn't see it probably even with a shot. But the AI knows where you are (Apache's attack into the wind BTW so ground forces don't hear them) regardless of how painstakingly you plot your attack and those things should be rewarded in DCS. Instead you spend that extra time and get hammered anyway. It is so frustrating three of us just gave up to go do something else lol.

  22. I don’t have a track but I have had ground fire pop me before I could maneuver in an Apache… with the sun directly behind me. The AI is simply all knowing and to proficient even with lower settings in. Might we look at reductions in awareness, response, and technical ability for scenarios.
  23. The tank tube launched missiles are unrealistic as well. First every tank seems to battle carry them. Second they need to be removable - they are rarely used as they cause lots of problems with bore-sighting, tube wear, etc and are prohibitively expensive. AI always see you first. Often times when engaged with a tomcat it is cold and the moment I’m in its detection cone the missile launches. Sheesh is the radar always on that side of its scan? The wso always ready to lock, ignoring all G effects of their evasion, etc. what’s being done to tone down the AI and add some degree of difference in capability?
