That is one sweet photo.

reported earlier problemas visuales en el SU-25t con el Mercury
Ironhand replied to Deivid's topic in Bugs and Problems
The Mercury pod was revised to reflect what it actually does, light amplification. It had been modeled as an IR pod. Now you need moonlight and, especially a full moon, to see much of anything. -
reported earlier LLTV Mercury Pod stopped working after 2.9 upgrade
Ironhand replied to andy1845's topic in Bugs and Problems
That’s because it was being modeled as IR rather than low light amplification.- 10 replies

I find that a best practice is to rename a folder/file first, if I have any concerns about it. I only delete it, if everything remains as expected after doing that.

KI Aircraft are too dumb...any way to make them "smarter" ?
Ironhand replied to -=Shin=-'s topic in Mission Editor Tutorials
Last question first. No need to add them to the following WPs. Want them to be more aggressive? Set yourself (or your flight) as their target. -
As already explained, if you check the amount to be downloaded, it gets smaller each time you restart the download. It’s just starting the present download at “0” and counting from there. I need to restart multiple times every update. If you watch it as it starts, it’ll check to see how much is downloaded, check for files that have been downloaded and are no longer needed, then start the download from there.

Ahh…. Good thought. Yes, I’m planning to do a fresh Win 11 install instead of an upgrade from Win 10.

Yes, sort of strange. Quite a bit of the instrumentation looks like the -25T pit.

Thanks, folks, for the input. Yes, I’ll be copying DCS to a new PCIe drive later. @Slippa Thanks for mentioning that. I was actually aware of that possible issue and how to handle it. Forgot to mention it. It’d be a PITA to have to redo every binding.

Sometime in the next several days, I’m going to be rebuilding my computer. Everything, except for a few drives and the case will be new. Is there anything special I need to do regarding DCS except to backup the Saved Games folder? One of the drives I’m putting back in is the DCS installation’s drive. You used to need to turn off all the modules. Is that still the case?

Su-25T mission returns a script error when destroying targets

So true. -
Su-25T mission returns a script error when destroying targets

Excellent. Glad you were able to resolve the issue. I saw your initial post but, since I’m clueless at this sort of thing, had nothing to offer. -
That’s an FC thing for multi roll aircraft. They will drop all of the same type bomb at one time. Or is what’s happening here different?
-
While, in the sim, every field is a military base, in real life most are either international airports or don’t exist at all. Anapa, for instance, is international. Krymsk is military.
-
You’re going to do what all FC3 aircraft do. Follow the ADI needles down to the runway.

The frequencies for the PRMG runways on the Caucasus map are marked in blue rather than white. There are six, IIRC. Both directions at Mozdok, and one each at Maykop, Krympsk, and Krasnodar-Central. Draconus’ chart also designates them using blue.

In the top right corner of every post, there are three dots. Click there and select “share”. That’ll give you the link for that exact post. Then bookmark it for yourself.

Have you tried doing a slow repair? Also disable any mods (whether FC3/4 related or not) and see if that makes a difference.

Out of curiosity, what happens, if you press the key used to select boresight a second time? That’s what selects caged/uncaged in the F-15C.
-
Looking at the LUA files there, I think they define the amount and type of movement you get, when camera jiggle is selected.

Su-25T landing gear and brakes realism!
Ironhand replied to Maverick Su-35S's topic in Su-25T (Free with DCS World)
Unfortunately, what your video demonstrates is not universally true. Even around airfields, there are places you can do that and places that you can’t. It varies from map to map and airfield to airfield. Some are far more forgiving than others. -
Last I knew, the decoupling mod did not actually decouple the winds in the flight, only on the static weather tab. It looked decoupled until you flew the mission and discovered that it wasn’t. Has that changed?
