This might be better off under "wishlist". Kind regards, Snappy

Well , thats easy. Once you blow away the canopy for ejection, the cabin pressure is going to equalize to ambient air pressure really fast . /s :))

Hmm, the text says „The transponder permits the identification, friend or foe, of an aircraft.“ and not something „allows identification of ownship as friendly.“ guess we will see . edit: Ok I get it now, since it’s called transponder, you’re probably right, it will not be able to interrogate.

Well it does have an IFF system, so that problem is mitigated.See the manual released by Aerges already for further information. it’s not yet functional in the first release, but I assume it will receive functionality in a future update.

So what ? They were jettisoned by navy Jets in Vietnam for air combat too, for example. So „Never , ever“ is simply not true. Don’t have to believe me. Look up the Jerry Beaulier aircrew interview about his time flying the F-4 in the USN.

Not sure what you expected. Every aircraft that is pointed pure vertical and still has forward speed (low speed or high) will still gain altitude.
-
Well, how many were there and how did you gain access to their sales figures? I can only think of two.Flight of the intruder and SF: Vietnam.

@NineLine whats the current state of the AI BFM improvements that were slated to arrive with the patch in june? Again there is nothing on it in the patch notes. Regards, Snappy

Hi, this has been discussed already , among other threads, here: Regards, Snappy

No, that is most likely intentional, as far as I know it was common procedure in the real aircraft to switch roll SAS off while preparing the aircraft for air combat manoeuvring. I‘m sure someone more knowledgeable can give you a better explanation, I think it has to do with the high AOA regime encountered during manoeuvring, where the SAS didn’t work so well. regards, Snappy

AIM-54 Hotfix PSA and Feedback Thread - Guided Discussion
Snappy replied to IronMike's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
Can you please explain this further? I think what Jonay meant was, that the inverted T will be always be centered in the vertical axis, regardless of your actual pitch attitude, as in it seems to provide steering in the lateral axis only. -
Yes it does. The F-15 FM is modelled to the same PFM (professional flight model) standard like the A-10,F-18, F-16 and the rest of EDs FF modules. And has been for a long while now. Have a look here if you dont believe me: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/support/faq/505/

No offense and I don't mean this as a slight to your skills. But I find the AI in DCS simply isn't any sort of reliable benchmark baseline, especially not for aircraft performance comparisons. I also came out victorious repeatedly 1v1 against the Ace Mig-29 while I flew the much inferior Viggen with gunpods. Not because I'm any sort of BFM master . Far from it. Just because the AI in DCS isn't flying very smart and often simply doesn't utilize their aircraft to its strengths. At other times it seems to be blatantly cheating.

Ah ok , understand. Thanks a lot for the info Koty! -
MiG-23 MLA what is it's planned weapons capabilities?
Snappy replied to Hodo's topic in MiG-23 MLA Flogger
Side question. For unguided Bombs, does the MLA have some sort of basic CCIP mode for the HUD ? Or just manual depression setting and tables for dive deliveries? Kind regards, Snappy -
Maybe read Sparrows post again? It is very clear what it has do to with it..

Can you please file a bug report with your tracks in the bugs sections? regards, Snappy

Who or what is “Sparrow AI” ?

This would be funny, but not very practical. As it would render the main text chat completely unusable for the standard dogfight servers. It would just totally flooded with those congrats messages all the time.

If he wants more recognition then maybe he should do a better job with the videos. Even without their tasteless and questionable antics, I propably wouldn’t chose their videos as tutorials to learn things, especially not those done by Cap. There are far better resources out there.
-
Thank you for pointing it out Blaze , You are a voice of reason. I hadn’t checked the video flight data closely enough. I can see how that might cause a difference in visual perception of turn rate. Looks like I jumped the gun. Thank you and apologies. Yes let’s just wait for the patch. @all, I will calm down now and am sorry for going ballistic.
-
Oh excuse me. it wasn’t BN or 9Line.It was Wags himself, stating sustained rate matches the data across the board. I was just referencing the GS video, like I said the first side by side comparison in it seems to show a further significant increase in STR, which would be problematic in view of Wags earlier statement. Anyway , @TAW_Blaze is right, maybe the video isn’t well done and should not be over-interpreted. I apologise for jumping the gun, let’s wait until the patch drops and what it entails.
-
Already did , you just need to read. Also I never said the FM was complete or perfect.I was specifically talking only about STR and no, I can’t be bothered to dig out 9Line or BNs posts where they stated the FM matches the available data.

Kindly enlighten us, in which areas of the envelope it performs like a Cessna? Please provide the relevant Cessna flight performance links too , so we can check the accuracy of your statement.
