Does HB have any plans to make missions such as cold start/on the ramp...ones like that...with the Tomcat/Supercarrier combo for quick flying/use or should we be prepared to make our own?
-
I think a part of it is it was an online session as well. You could see the nosewheel through the deck as it proceeded, with the nose almost touching.
-
I'm referring to the human nonsense going on in the previews. It's more like watching a poor comedy show than finding out about an upcoming product.
-
I think the Su-33's dipping could be due to it being an online shot too. Watching the 2nd Su-33 take off, at the ramp it's nose gear is through the deck, nose almost touching. I'd like to see someone do a SP style review, without all the MP nonsense we've seen so far. Then, we'll have a better indication.

Honesty works for me. I can still enjoy the B until then.

Would love to have the ability to toggle on/off that new on-screen FLOLS we've all seen on the SC preview videos.

** Leaving Drydock! Forrestal Class Update **
Steve Gee replied to Cobra847's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
Are there any plans to implement the FLOLS pop-up system we've seen on the SC preview videos? I haven't seen if it's a SC only feature yet, or even if it's going to make it to the standard Stennis or not (hope so), but I was curious if HB would use it if it's available to them for use? -
Will that change/upgrade, the EIG, happen at the same time as the A's debut or will it be phased in as a update if it's ready before the A's released?
-
So, that means a mix of 14, say 8 Hornets and 4 Tomcats? I seen mention in one of the preview videos by the GR guys that there's only 10 Hornet slots available and less for the Tomcat. It would be nice, since that's probably something that's not going to change between the preview version out now and the release version next week, to have an updated answer on how many spots exactly.
-
Hopefully, it's an item we can toggle on/off, like the controls indicator. That way, everyone's happy.

Has the delay been detailed yet? As in, a list of what the problem(s) are?

Many thanks :)

Does the new raygun file interfere with DCSFlightpanels as it did before? Have the UFC but never installed the software because of my DCSFP's.

I've found this useful after the merge as I've gotten older and suffer from CSS (Can't See S**t), always wondered what the range(s) are for his spotting?

Nice request, I'd enjoy seeing a AI flight ops video myself.

Forrestal has suddenly become very important
Steve Gee replied to nicka117's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
I imagine we're going to have to wait until Supercarrier gets released before even seeing the Forrestal. If there's new carrier tech involved, which I have no idea if there is but there's quite a bit of changes going on...wouldn't it have to be implemented into the Forrestal for it to launch Tomcats and Hornets as well? We'll just have to be patient I have a feeling. -
Would love to see a simple video of the crew moving to/from their launch positions if/when there's a chance.

Mine always ends up in Junk and I have to look for it.

Will deck crew make correction in case of wrong alignment?
Steve Gee replied to ViperDriver's topic in DCS: Supercarrier
We must have different meanings of "clearly". :) -
Oh, it won't be in this genre. I've got other interests wanting part of my gaming budget. :) Until the products they list as "early access" are out of said early access and into some sort of stable AND completed environment, which I don't see happening any time soon...any trimming of patching to less than every couple of weeks isn't going to work. Didn't we used to see patches every couple of weeks? That seems like a good timeline, allowing for time to test/analyze/repair major problems. Did the release of more early access products require the need for more patches? I guess it has. If so, they've created this early access cash monster, so they have to feed it or get it on a diet. Or, it'll go find other food. :D

Will deck crew make correction in case of wrong alignment?
Steve Gee replied to ViperDriver's topic in DCS: Supercarrier
I see the same in FSX, only telling me when to stop and I think that's determined by a hitbox attached to them...when I "hit" it, they react. I imagine the cat crewmen are going to work in the same way, i.e...certain actions when we "hit" spots of the deck or areas. -
Will deck crew make correction in case of wrong alignment?
Steve Gee replied to ViperDriver's topic in DCS: Supercarrier
I do wonder how we will we make the deck transition from launch to recovery? Radio calls? Those waist cat crewmen, especially #3, might want to relocate. :D -
While I know nothing's been stated by ED as to what will happen with their beta testing, I do know if I have to wait a couple of months for some sort of stable update and that's all that is accessible to me? I'll find something else to spend my money and time on, simple as that.
-
I always thought that was more because of radar ground return than anything. I find them much easier to lock when down low.

Will deck crew make correction in case of wrong alignment?
Steve Gee replied to ViperDriver's topic in DCS: Supercarrier
Oh, I think they will help with alignment, but more along the lines we get used to where they are and use them as better markers than a plain, flat deck. The crew(s) are just environment enhancements, just like the other deck items, at least that's what I've always taken from anything ED's said or posted. There will be more interactive parts of Supercarrier, like the LSO and Air Boss stations down the proverbial cruise, just not little animated figurines that will help us get our birds straight down the catapult(s). :D
