i rarely get paid for my talents, or havent in the past. but thats because theres some nasty folk out there, but thats anther story. but we will see, tbh im more interested in having dcs adapted to use some of my methods or ideas. and ill happily loook at the a10 skin when its incorporated into dcs world and consider my talents worthy of payment for sure.

my special project, ive got quite a bit of knowledge in certain areas soo i decided to make this public. also i will be doing these skins for the virtual horsemen display team initially before i release any of them. so prepare for ultimate tease. and showcase of the power of the nvidia 670 and what it can do with DCS:World. spectacular i tell ya ! i hope you believe what you see as these are just screenshots :) quality ? feedback most welcome. .i`ve not seen anything better in any flight simulator and its not the 670... bug u see are incomplete work as the work is WIP. for this to go public i have request for the developers if they are interested. request for change to some core aspects i can not change. and thanks to rock for the livebait markings, as im not so familiar with the details of warbirds

via cockpit texturing. and well 1 with and 1 without could be construed as cheating when or if it became competative, that is if one did gain an advantage via the use. but ive no quams about it (good for us formation flyers), carry on....

you sure thats a good idea ? i was worried it be seen as a cheat thats all. OT/ Potential for protecting files with container password ? i have a very special thing in progress presently id like to protect !

reckon these base files from the zip in question here would work as updates via the liveries folders loose file style via simple drop to add ? ....for my cockpit mod i could do with external view cockpit textures in the mod too for completeness sakes ! just an idea and cant test myself presently

Control in Air Like Buffeting from Strong Winds

try some dead zone for twitchy joysticks of the saitek variety. open axis tune for said problem axis and check how far it twitches at the central position. set a dead zone outwith this area of twitch to contain said twitching behaviour. Also apply much curvature of the positive variety to your axis, im running 35 on x52 pro. powefull plane produces powerfull Torque, manouever trim, manouever, trim and on and on. especially for roll characteristics, engine usage is subtle, dont force it, let the bird go where it wants to. encourage it to its destination like you would with a bull in a china shop. its been just over a week for me learning, sometimes its more acknowledging that this is the character of the plane and adhering to whats its teaching you about its self. landings for me now are just so un-eventfull essentially. let the bird drop at the suggested engine settings, trim for level attitude decent, flare and your there. (in basic conditions). only at high speed is there any precision to be had with the P51, very characterfull. couldnt ask for more from a warbird. If Pigs flew, Ed would probally get it right ! thats how i feel about the P51D. -

my passions are firmly rooted to the pacifc and everything that comes with it. ZERO ZERO ZERO ! carrier ops in DCS would be a very bad thing ! i wouldnt need to buy any other DCS products. and what better scenery than a realstic no scenery for performance ! hehehe you could have the most spectacular seascape instead. with some basic islands ofcourse. -
i do. and i never give more than 80% throttle, that 80-100 is devastatingly hard to take off with. id rather have a smooth TO and require 50 more metres of runway. i also think given the beta release its all probally not finalised fm etc

interesting i find this. i backtracked on my original opinion. but someone on server last night pointed out there are many upon principle that would never back track on anything related to their precious initiall opinion. im glad iam dynamic and can get over myself. -
i never use full power on takeoff. the torque just makes the plane roll violently. as i compensate on the ground for full power & when rising i cant stop the plane from rolling.

well i got mine ! . first impressions, DCS p51 full wack, looks stunning, good frames. no need to look at them infact. testing more.

"Character" this plane has huge doses of it in every area. exceptional feel. If anything changes that presently id be dissapointed. realism must prevail imo and thats nothing i would know about tbh.

good flight last night, me slayer and wolf racked up 3.5 hours of do or do not, there is no try. very enjoyable trying to fly form. The horsemen have their work cut out for sure ! "said with huge dollops of sarcasm". Actually, serious new appreciation for what they do.

whilst ive been posting here its just dawned on me that you guys are discussing the cockpit reflections mostly. DOH !. cockpits without reflections are very possible, minuites work.

im hoping we see this style with new terrain engine. most things these days have real time relfections. here i think were using 1 cubemap for everything, and that is why it is so subtle. . iam doing the full metalic job presently and no issues with getting it right, its what i do. but agree`d about the night time issue and thereafter... my project is for aerobat teams and their videos.

I was thinking reflections are rather weak at present. The shader implementation is rather powerfull.
