1. track works well ! cheers for that.
2. very elegantly done viper ! these massive runways are of use to the p51 ! guess thats my next challenge 2 pointers. cockpit procedures vid please ! <hopes to see a short grass field mod for DCS ASAP !>
3. trying to adjust the plane below 150 kias is a no go IMO. fall or fly is the decision at that stage. honestly i know it sounds a bit wacky but try landings in the thick of night. it forces you to not compensate for anything you see outside the cockpit and this is the key. mostly everything outside the cockpit is a distraction. obviously we need our touch down point, but thats all. let the bird fall out the sky in a coordinated fashion as hands free as possible. glide it in is my style presently it seems, but its still not correct by any measures whose going to teach us lot around here 2 point landings in a p51 ? are they even possible ?
4. just thought id throw this out there, Grass TO&L`s are a new challenge \o/ and one i think everyone should endulge in, being a bit more sticky, taking off from grass is a new expereince that will prepare you better for the hard stuff in terms of learning the aircraft before it kills you.
5. \o/ hurrah for take offs in the mustang. we had a chap on the server lastnight, hours he had been at it, anyway eventually after many hours of helping he took off , everyone watching him givin help on team speak, even made a good first landing. its these moments that really hit home in a plane like the mustang in a sim like the sim we sim in. sim simmedy sim.... btw applying trim to axis in mustang presently doesnt seem like a good idea. hence your inability to reset trim. and given their present sensitivity, small clicks are necessary, might be best to use a couple of Hat switches, as the concensus is presently proving. an unfortunate aspect of some digitaly based technology of the cheapest variety interfering with this very analogous nature of this mustang sim.
6. awesome agressive whistle @2:13 \o/
7. yeh great vid, i also hope we get close to these sounds. the layers of sound in RL are incredible. sadly it would take a sim of its own to get really close in a simulated way. im just so anxious to hear a multiple plane fly by (with engines sounds) online in the server. or just hear the lead pilots engine. that`ll do me for now :)
8. awesome as always !
9. nice idea sir ! will try that laters. im stuck with using TrackIR Z axis as zoom, hopefully the warthog switches wont carry so much spike.
10. So should i be clicking the link in your sig nate ? im 64bit
11. my favourite female at present. beautifull.....
12. about smoking p51`s, is this a smoking p51 in front? cant tell here but its as close as i can find to anything near it. so many Rc p51`s with smoke too i notice. jealous.
13. indeed..... its still wanted though.
14. im getting the pauses and i believe its associated to somthing in the scenery. if i f11 and look about the airfields and spin the camera around i get pauses and its the same in the aircraft when turning , i also notice that if i take view 360 of the scenery fully at the start it seems to minimise the pauses later on when in flight. i7 950 (3ghz, 3 gig main ram, and gforce 670 2gigram
15. us folks that want to do display style stuffs really, "really" want an internal smoke system and not somthing on the wings.
16. ok i provide track of bug on the cold start at vaziani mission. I auto start with throttle way to high. upon realising that i pull back the throttle to allow the engine to turn. and broken RPM guage. this is the only way i can recreate it. but on a few occasions i look and suddenly its just not functioning. i understand if the throttle position does break this guage upon start, would be nice modelling etc. i just dont know myself.. recreating this if its a bug was easier by using the option " sync hotas with cockpit func at start of mission" or whatever it says.... 17. not without cannisters i believe. the plane didnt have any functions for smoke, what do the basterdized racing p51`s use, do they have an internal system ?
18. ive tried with intrumentation but can only do it at minimal power levels for takeoff. and even at that its not very straight. and well the PIO that occurs afterwards trying to change power is incredible. too dangerous.
19. mmm. liking the pipe ! nice and tidy, minimal space and mobile too. fantastic. great idea.
20. well ok i guess i lied actually. was trying to emphasize that it is possible with minimal usage so i do sincerely apologise about how i went about that comment. <slaps himself twice>
21. Thank you Sir. i agree. and thanks again for the sim. love it.
22. and the point is ? iam at 100 nearly and i did say some rudder correction is required when the tail pops up. on that occasion it was required. soo.... ? the point is how you use the rudder, where when and why and for how long. how many frames or how long do you reckon i was using it for ? Sorry but ive a dynamic adjustment to make and in order not to crash and make smooth takeoff i will make it. its instinctual. the preceeding video didnt have anywhere near as much deflection. but i was not up to 47in manifold on that occasion. i have tested it and its possible with no more more than +/- 3 degrees deflection applied to the rudder trim. they key to all this is the axis. and how its setup. 30 rudder curve for me. and even at that as you see its never going to be perfect. but i did just prove smooth takeoff is possible and the FM is more than manageable in any low speed manoevers "Without" inducing any pilot induced oscillations and using trim effectivly and only for level flight.
23. The takeoff / landing video i stated i would do. this is my first ever commentary video and voice articulation skills are required it seems. and this UK sunny weather is messing with my TIR but its not too bad.
24. ok the vid ive made, taking off smoothly with some but minimal rudder input and only used where absolutely required.
25. ive commentated a video take off and landing, itll be on youtube soon. using 30 points of positive curvature on all axis except throttle.
