Oh and i found this here: https://www.l3harris.com/all-capabilities/smart-multiple-carriage-racks Sure it's advertisment but still: "The L3Harris BRU-55/A smart rack doubles the number of MIL-STD-1760 smart weapons that can be carried on tactical strike aircraft such as the F/A-18 C-F.". And from what I found a GBU-32 is part of MIL-STD-1760. Greetings

Hello There! 03.2019 it was advertised that a BRU-55 could double carry smart Ammo (ED also named GBU-32) in that post for an upcoming update. This Website tells me that JDAMs up to 1000lbs are possible (GBU-32) on a BRU-55: https://www.globalsecurity.org/military/systems/aircraft/systems/bru-57.htm This here: https://fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/ac/equip/docs/bru-57-System_Performance_Specification.html Stated that GBU-32 can be carried on them (new gen 1000lbs MIL-STD-1760 class stores). "These Include and is not limited to GBU-32, AGM-154, (...)". The document MP-AVT-108-13 state at least that the GBU-32 flight test on BRU-55s is completed (on F/A-18C). As far as I understand BRU-55 and -57 are the same thing but -55 is Navy and -57 Air Force stuff. From the public stuff i get it should be possible like the JSOWs. Although a gold old unclassified document that says in easy english "yeah this thing fit on it" isn't easy to find. Greetings

Hello there! As we discussed here: the 3D Model right now represents a BLU-109 penetrator Warhead. This was also advertised in the video wags. As in the above thread stated the GBU-24 is coded as a GP84 Warhead. Instead it should be a penetrator warhead. While I would like it to be corrected, i also would like the idea to have a additional GBU-24 with gp84 warhead added. Because it doesn't do much in the game right now, it's not a high priority. Although it may be important someday. Also it's just the 3d doesn't fit the code. Greetings

Hello! While it looks like a BLU-109 penetrator warhead, some people said that the code of the bomb tells the game it's a normal mk84 warhead. What's going on there? WIP? Greetings

I see what you mean. Still i think it's just a "animation" thing. As far as I can tell either SLAM nor JSOW get effected by it (extra speed or similar). But Yeah. That does not look good.

I really hope ED get the AI stuff of the Hornet sorted till it's advertised out-of-EA-release. If you not have a scripted campaign it's devastating that whatever you try to tell your AI wingman - he goes stupid.
-
Hey there, Maybe you are a hornet pilot or an engineer and know way better than we all BUT according to NATOPS Flight Manual F/A-18 A/B/C/D (...) I-2-8 2.1.2. (Automatic throttle Control) (and 2.1.2.1. (ATC Approach Mode)): It has 2 modes "The automatic throttle control is a two mode system that automatically maintains angle of attack (approach mode) or airspeed (cruise mode) by modulating engine thrust in the range of flight idle through military."(...) While ED postet the link to it some time ago, i won't state any further that this one is public etc. Also Curly stated it pretty well https://forums.eagle.ru/topic/264735-landing-autothrottle/?do=findComment&comment=4595973 Grettings

? For me it looks like it gets despawned / deleted on the pylon, milliseconds it get spawned in front of the plane (this is maybe where you say it gets propelled forward) and just the next milisecond it gets deleted again and spawned beneath the plane and drops like it should. If you check external view the missile doesn't behaves like it gets propelled. The missile doesn't get any speed. It loses some until it own engine starts and gains speed. So we are not talking about false behavior. We may talk about bad animation. The deleted respawning thing is kinda normal. I'm not an expert but as far as I understood the missile (client) will be deleted after pickle and will be respawned as Server-Side missile (MP). So again. It may look weird and ED have to work on that but the missile behaves like it should. Greetings

Iirc ED already stated somewhere they're not interested in modeling nuclear weapons.

So you want people with flat 2D screen to do a Align with mouse wheel headmovement or NumPad? Or a TrackIR guy with little to no head movement curves beside Turning and zooming? I really think this one is not necessary and uncomfortable for most of the (Game) players. Although for a full simulation i should be in. Special Aircrafts Setting: Real HMD Alignment ON/OFF (Default OFF) Greetings

Also : The possibility to change the Callsign IN MISSION ie via rearm Menu! It's not needed for single run missions but for the dynamic 24/7 stuff. You found a mate to play with? Uzi 8-2 and Ford 3-1 doesn't work well. So you can set with someone else to your wish. Especially with many more callsigns. Also so to add. It's annoying to see a plane with HMD like UZ11 but i can't tell him to defend against a missile because his Callsign is somewhat else and he won't react to it. (24/7 Server of course) Greetings

I hope it is planned. Otherwise out so specific Hornet will miss something with its HSI implementation. +1

A/A and Masterarm on while aim9's selected will automatically cool them. As long as chucks guide tell the truth. Greetings

Nice. Count me in. +1

Hello, I don't have the F-16C, so can you tell me what's the difference? You can blackout in the 18. And I know the 16 got an angeled pilot seat, so I assume the pilot of the 16 can pull a bit more G. Grettings

Single Rocketpod always on BRU-Rack and assymmetric?
Rescue replied to Rescue's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
Thank you everyone! From the point that the BRU is needed to the fire sequence logic. That's all I wanted to know about! I'm still curious if the Navy got caps for them. Grettings -
Hey Guys, I wonder if a Rocketpod simply can't be placed directly on a Pylon. It doesn't matter if I take the 7x or the 19x pods, they always comes with a BRU-rack. Also it's always assymmetric. If I put 1 Rocketpod (with rack) each on station 3 and 7 both pods are placed on the right side (or left, doesn't remember rn). Last thing doesn't look right to me. And I wonder if the Navy got caps for their pods? Grettings

I just would like to add that I like the idea to have APKWS on the Hornet.

reported earlier HMD target designation shifts - Slant range related
Rescue replied to GVakarian32's topic in Bugs and Problems
Hi there, after HMD designation and fine tuning with scs on TGP DDI, I can monitor a shifting diamond. This only stops if I put it in area Track. I don't think that's the way it should be. But I also played just 15-30 mins around with it. Grettings -
The Harpoon doesn't climb. So if you choose low and flying below 5000ft the Harpoon wouldn't climb. You have to keep in mind some feet that the Harpoon drops of the pylon, but this way you can create a low flying harpoon. Grettings

Auto delivery is bugged since ever.

The AGM-65 F is a infrared guided missile. You have to lock a infrared target. The red circle shows it now tracks WHT (white) "pixels" / Targets. The OSB underneath can change it to BLK (Black). The AGM-65 E is a laser guided missile. You have to lead it or let it leaded via Laser Designation. A forced lock (forgot the terminology) can't be done with F or E. The G or H (I don't know which it was) of the A-10C can do that. The missile take a Pic and follow it into the target. The F-18 doesnt have them. Only chance with Mavericks : use the E and lase the runway. Grettings
