  1. Yes, I did that too. BLUF: I fixed the issue. The interesting thing is I tried the previous three versions and they all worked, but the current version still would not. On a whim I deleted the two files from the current version in my OvGME mods folder and reinstalled them from the original .zip file. Wouldn't you know it, that fixed the problem. The clear answer is the problem was with me but for the life of me I don't know what caused it. I'm only happy it's fixed.
  2. Agreed. If problems identified in OB are carried over into Stable then that is a real problem.
  3. I disagree. The fact that people treat Open Beta like it's the Stable release seems the be the core issue here. If people want stability they need to stick with the Stable release. If their favorite servers use OB, then they should take it up with the admins.
  4. Is this a good time to remind people they can revert to the Stable version while ED sorts it out?
  5. deleted
  6. Agreed. I already use OvGME and have not had any problem before today. I can see the correct files installed or uninstalled in the bin folder when enabling or disabling the mod , I just don't see any change in frametimes or visual details like I have every other time previously.
  7. Yes, I disabled all my mods before I installed the patch, then reenabled them. There appears to be no change for me either way. If no one else is experiencing this then it's obviously something else on my end that I am missing.
  8. Is this still working after today's release? My frame time has doubled and I see no difference with the mod installed or not.
  9. According to this article only two were made solely with guns. Have Gun, Will Dogfight | History | Air & Space Magazine (airspacemag.com)
  10. Not the Mig-21, too?
  11. I don't think the French operated A-4's, did they?
  12. For what it's worth: USS Nimitz Stock Photo - Alamy I think only RF-8's operated from Nimitz.
  13. It doesn't. I was just sharing that I don't understand the concern. No worries.
  14. Not trying to be difficult here, but I still don't see the problem. Plenty of people will buy any module on the first day. A person can just wait to read their reviews before they purchase it. And if your one of those who pre-chase or buy on release only to discover afterward it isn't in the state you require, then just set it aside until it matures. You can "simulate' that is hasn't been released yet.
  15. Personally I have never understood the complaint about "premature releases". If a module is released in a state that you feel is too incomplete to enjoy, then just don't buy it at that time. Avoid the "premature purchase", so to speak.
  16. Have you ever been to the boat? The REAL boat? Not the simulated one in DCS. And I mean been to the boat for your first time. Alone. As in, no one is in the jet with you when you look down and see how small that so-called supercarrier really is. Or when you roll in on your first final approach and think to yourself, "HOLY CRAP! THAT IS SMALL!" (Paraphrased for a PG audience ) Try to have a little respect.
  17. Oh, I get it. You're mad. I'm mad. Everyone's mad. But there isn't much that can be done about it. We can say it makes the manufactures/distributers/retailers look bad but so what? As soon as the stocks increase and prices come down gamers are going to buy what whatever is available. So in the end it will be a win-win for the sellers.
  18. I know this is an unpopular point, but we live in a free market. Sellers are in business to make a profit and no one has a right to their merchandise. The disappointing truth is that those crypto miners likely paid a hefty premium to buy those cards, whereas most of us gamers seem to balk at paying anything over MSRP.
  19. LOL Even the pilots called it the SLUF (short little ugly f**ker) Great, GREAT airplane, by the way

  21. Yeah, this kind of got out of hand. I was just commenting on someone’s earlier post that stated,“the F14 used the F100 which is used in the F15/F16 the B used the F110-GE-400” No big deal, really
  22. Um, okay. But that doesn’t change the fact that no F-14 used the F100 engine. Maybe I’m missing something.
  23. The F-14A used the TF30 that was in the F-111, not the F100
  24. I believe if a jet has had enough passes that he (or she, sorry) will likely need more gas to proceed, they will have the tanker nearby to pass fuel as soon as possible. One of the carrier pilots or fleet sailors on this forum can confirm or correct that. Full discloser, I saw the term "trick or treat" on the the video below at the 6:35 mark.
  25. I think that means tanking.
