  1. Great work ED! Thank you
  2. Maybe there is another unit blocking the runway or attempting to land.
  3. yes you can on the TACAN menu on UFC. Then on HSI select TACAN
  4. Something is off with the damage modeling on the SA-342 AI. This one took a hit from a ZU-23 and was flying just fine without his tail rotor.
  5. I haven't flown that mission yet. But I am working on a mission involving mainly the Su-25 (both versions), the KA50, and the L-39. Night, bad weather, plenty of tanks, 5000ft ceiling, rain. Continues into the daylight hours. I am using this scenario to learn the Su-25 as well as the mission editor. It's a pretty good scenario for navigational training as well. Not easy to stay alive for sure. Server in the signature below.
  6. Great advice pepin!
  7. Just made my first flight (also IFR) in the Su-25A. Put in the three waypoints. Everything worked beautifully. I really do love both models of the Su-25. The Hornet used to be my choice for air to mud. But now I find myself going to the Su-25.
  8. good advice pepin! Yes I pulled up and got too slow. Too much time in the Hornet. I have to break old habits. I will experiment with the reticle (8 key)
  9. One of my recent flights in the Su-25T. I have yet to try the A model. Operation Maelstrom
  10. Here is my recent re-paint of a Freewing 80mm L-39 RC aircraft in the HUNAF Shark Scheme. I had to take license with the placement of the HUNAF insignia on the rear of the fuselage as I changed the tail scheme slightly. There is another aircraft in this squadron with this placement of the insignia so it's still scale. Do you know where I can find this paint scheme for the DCS L-39? https://youtu.be/5AaEFzy6VWs
  11. Thanks Ironhand. I cannot believe I flew DCS for months before ever looking at the Su-25.
  12. I too recently discovered the Su-25T. I love this aircraft. One of the best in my opinion. https://youtu.be/gWjK5kVzrMM
  13. It's minor. They will fix it eventually I am sure. Meanwhile enjoy the bird.
  14. I am amazed that we get these updates as regularly as we do. The quality of this sim is amazing. I have never seen a simulation company as professional as this one. And they respond to us on the forum while sometimes taking heat. I would rather have something that works than something that's rushed. patience grasshopper. Also in this "cheaper, better, faster" society, you can only have two of those. Not all three.
  15. The Eagles Nest 24hour dedicated server. SRS (latest) with Auto-connect Server name: Eagles Nest Discord: https://discord.gg/WCFzyc3 PvE, PvP Dynamic weather Continuous ops (night ops possible) for 48 hours. Current Mission: Operation Joint Resolve by Zeagle Georgia and Iran are threatening to invade Abkhazia. The Russian Federation and NATO are working together to counter the threat. Looking to gain intelligence and experience for its personnel, China and North Korea are providing "advisors" and equipment to Georgia. Day 1 : The US and Russian fleets arrive on station. A weather system has moved in across the AO with broken clouds and scattered rain. Patrols to probe Georgian defenses or conduct a first strike are in order. Day 2: At zero +18hours, REDFOR armor will move from Tblisi to Zugdidi and then cross the river into Abkhazia. BLUFOR will counter with armor from Sukhumi. As the sun rises on Day 2, a land battle ensues with REDFOR armor being supported by CAS aircraft. All are welcome.
  16. Well hopefully they will fix it in time. Anyway the search feature of these and other forums are horrendous. You can search all day and not find something. Glad to see it's been reported.
  17. Open Beta 2.5.4.29167 I have noticed a possible bug with the SU-25T animation (which is an awesome plane by the way! Please bring us other models of this bird if you can ED...Su-25UB, UBK, or UT) Anyway, if the mission starts with engines running (takeoff from parking hot), there is no problem at all. See attached track. But, if the mission starts with engines off (takeoff from ramp), then shutting down or starting up an engine will have the correct cockpit indications and the correct flight performance, but will show the opposite engine started or stopped in external view. This appears to be a bug affecting the visual model only. Flight performance is correct. I hope ED will keep the Su-25 updated as time goes on. It's a really neat aircraft. 18. I recently started flying the SU-25T after months in the FA-18, FW-190, and ME-109. I must say that as someone who likes air-to-mud missions and clickable cockpits, the SU25 is pretty awesome. The visual and flight models are good. Also the weapons systems are so easy to use. It's a lot of fun for me. I must say I really like the FC3 planes in general. I really don't even notice the fact that I cannot click on things. Actually, in some planes, the mouse clicking is a bit of a pain anyway. But overall the SU-25 has surprised me. I am now a big fan. I really hope that ED continues to update these FC3 birds as time goes on.
  19. It should be one of the options when you create a new mission...you can choose which map you want at that time. Make sure you have it installed. Then go and create a new mission. You should see Nevada as one of the map choices.
  20. I would like to see this behavior changed to allow the mission editor to specify exactly where every client controlled and un-activated AI controlled plane (for example tankers or awacs) are parked. It would be nice to park them in appropriate locations.
  21. Aircraft Carrier parking in general is flawed. I would like to specify exactly where uncontrolled planes awaiting activation as well as client controlled planes are parked. That way you could park a lot more birds on the boat than right now.
  22. I actually recommend the Su25 and the FA-18 as first jets. The FA-18 gives you a lot of bang for the buck and will keep you interested for a long time.
  23. That's because you haven't done what was described in the original post. You cannot see yourself jumping. You have to fly with another player, spawn from a CV, then RTB to a land base. You will see your wingman jumping like crazy.
  24. Why don't you guys (ED) fix this instead of just replying "need track". You know the tracks involved are too large. It's a pretty big oversight in my opinion. And it ruins missions with others online.
