Your controls are not reversed and you are not on the backside of the power curve. Where do you guys get this stuff?

+1 on a hi-fidelity multi-crew A-6

Why all the desert videos? Fly her from the boat. I want to see this bird hit the tanker and recover aboard ship.

Approach plates, TACANS, and VOR's show direction as magnetic. Also runways have these two big numbers at each end denoting a magnetic alignment. And yes, they do get changed periodically. In some instances where there is a large magnetic variation, directions are given as TRUE and are denoted with a "T" after the direction, e.g. RNAV 13T. Some navigational aids, such as VORs or TACANs may be off by as much as 5 or more degrees in the US. Once they get to a 6 degree difference, they are realigned.

Noticed this today. Useless unless referenced to compass

We need an E8 JSTARS badly. A multi-player crew capable AWACS wouldn't be too bad either.

Deferred shading makes it easier to handle multiple light sources since only one geometry pass is required. I have programmed in GLSL and OpenGL. Deferred shading does not make clouds glow. The moon will indeed illuminate clouds. And they are in fact white or yellowish depending. I am sure they will tune up the environment as time goes on. I have been hearing some complaints on how ED is slow to fix things. Well, from my limited two month or so experience in DCS, I think they are updating stuff at an amazing pace.

Real life airports that are in big cities always have their lights on. But smaller airports, even regional hubs in smaller cities, will turn off the runway lights after a certain time (9pm in many cases) or after the tower closes for the night. The pilot can turn on the lights by clicking his mic a certain number of times within a few seconds on a specific channel. I have done this myself for entertainment when flying cross country at night. There is nothing wrong with ED having the lights off for most airports at night.

Thanks, I should have noticed that. Anyway my track is way too big. If anyone else can upload a track that would be helpful. We really need this one taken care of.
-
StrikeEagle is correct. It is synced to the movement of the ship. But to replicate it, you need at least one other player from the ship. You cannot see your own jumping. And how come you guys don't have a track upload feature here?
-
I have video and a track. One of our guys ended up exploding on the taxiway because of the bouncing. Is there no upload feature here?
-
In MP, hornets that spawn on a carrier appear to others to bounce vertically even while stopped on the ramp.

[FIXED] Wings bugged on official liveries made by Maler
Zeagle replied to LcSummers's topic in Bugs and Problems
I confirm the same. Also the gun hatch is affected. -
DCS WWII birds are already the finest out there. We just need more aircraft, both AI and player controlled, as well as more maps. I think the WWII era stuff is going to get a lot more attention once more aircraft are released.

The answer is yes but it won't be pretty. You will be buying some new tires and new brakes before too long. And you run the risk of a brake locking up on you on takeoff, which has killed more than one pilot on takeoff and landing. I personally saw this happen at Sun n Fun back in the late 90's with a Sea Fury. Not good. So just use a little brake and rudder up to about 80kph. Then she should be on rudder alone. Of course if there is a crosswind you will have to cope with other controls. Pilots don't use just one technique all the time. Actually the best thing you can do is be slow and smooth with the throttle.
-
Just go easy on the throttle, lock the tail wheel, hold full back at beginning of roll to keep tail wheel in contact with runway and use your toe brakes. Once the rudder becomes effective, let off the back pressure on the stick. Not much to it. I've only got about 8 or 10 takeoffs and landings under my belt. But it flies like any other warbird. https://youtu.be/-v1XWEkCan0

I'm only just learning the K-4. And I love the DCS rendition of it. Right now I have only a handful of flights under my belt. And I need to read the manual from start to finish. So I know there is much that I do not know about her. But, she is a very good bird. She can bite you for sure. But I love the 109. I'm not quite up to ACM in the bird yet though. As far as the trim wheel goes, I usually do that with the mouse in my right hand and the stick in my left which is kind of a contortion thing for me as I have the stick on my right side. But it works. https://youtu.be/-v1XWEkCan0 Fly with us on the DCS server "NAVAIR" The server is up daily at various times. The usual server launch time is 1400Z. The current server scenario has a little bit for everybody. We accommodate the free planes, helicopters, jets, and warbirds. Airshow flying accommodated as well. Weather is dynamic. Planning for some low-vis and night ops in the future. Join our Discord to get the server password and find out about upcoming flights. I haven't experienced the engine failure yet. I do fly at a max of 1.5 ata though. More testing to do.... And I agree with the OP. The Dora is one of my all time favorites. I hope ED continues to fix her and develop other WWII birds.
-
Good to hear that issue with the canopy will be fixed. I was also thinking that bombs and rockets might not have been used together. Great job on the FW190! I hope ED develops more wwii era objects and planes in the future. By the way for anyone interested, I highly recommend the FW190 series of books by Eddie J Creek and J Richard Smith.
-
Well i just read the manual for the third time and could not find this addressed. Maybe you can point me there. I don't think they had to punch the rack to fire rockets. And the canopy disappears when viewed from inside when fully open. Viewed from outside it is still there. That being said, it flies nicely. I cant wait to get more time in it.
-
So according to my flight testing with a full load of rockets and 4 bombs, I cannot fire rockets NO MATTER WHAT until I get rid of the bombs AND the rack. Then rockets fire fine. The Switch on the rocket control unit seems like it does nothing. With a centerline tank, the rockets fire fine. Again, the rocket control unit appears inop. latest open beta I am interested to hear what the correct procedure is to fire rockets while carrying 4 bombs on the centerline

Hi prof laser. I have just started a part time server. You are welcome to come fly any time it is online. The server is running a Caucasus map right now, although I can run any of the others. Scenarios are under development on other maps. I initially set this server up to provide a sandbox for basic flight and weapons training for members of our RC club. But all are welcome. We have air refueling, a fleet for carrier ops, dynamic weather, and some insurgent ground targets for practicing air to ground. Server: NAVAIR SRS 216.119.191.54 Discord https://discord.gg/HJgbzVc
