  1. Thanks Bignewy, here it is EN_NTTR-1.miz
  2. I have a mission that I created on a dedicated server. I can fly any of the BLUE coalition birds. But, if I choose to fly RED coalition, I cannot enter cockpit. Am I missing a setting or something? The aircraft are set to client controlled. And DCS shows me as the pilot of the aircraft. But I cannot enter cockpit of the RED aircraft. I show the airfield as RED and the aircraft as RED. The AI aircraft act fine there. This is with the F-5 and L-39. any ideas? I am sure it's just something I overlooked somewhere... latest openbeta NTTR map
  3. What about upgrading from 1.7 on a dedicated server? Should I go in and remove tacview first before installing? I know I had to copy and edit some stuff by hand for 1.7
  4. The AI JTACs have always been problematic. On my server, they sometimes work, sometimes don't. If the communication is interrupted for some reason, like maybe you push a function key while the guy is talking, then they quit altogether.
  5. yeah, just look at the Jag. Wings on heavy and fast jets are not like wings on your Cessna. They are more of a guidance system at speed. Most jet fighters now have lifting bodies. The F-16 for example generates a majority of its lift from the body under normal operating conditions.
  6. I just bought an X-56 few months ago. I love it. I use a powered hub to power the X-56 and other things. There have been no problems so far. I think the Warthog is over priced for what it is.

  8. Gentlemen, our ranks are growing. We run weekly missions and utilize a 24/7 training server. We have the technology for AWACS controllers, JTACs, and of course, pilots. The 17th is currently flying the FA-18C in anticipation of the Block 50 F-16 delivery later this year. The 75th is operational with the A-10C. All interested airmen should see us on the Discord and come fly. The server is open daily. TACVIEW is operational on the server side meaning you can disable TACVIEW recording on your own system. Squadron members receive a link to their own ACMI folder on the server. We have the technology for group ACMI review as well.
  9. Recently I started my own server, fly with a great bunch of guys in military jets that we could never fly in real life, and do all this over the net in real time with pilots on both sides of the Atlantic. That alone is enough for me. In other words...THANKYOU Eagle Dynamics, 9-line, wags, and the whole bunch. You guys do great work. I am amazed at what we have every time I fly. And another thing, I am also amazed at the regularity with which we get updates. I agree with the OP in that I wish we had more info on what's coming. But I think ED is communicating just fine. Keep up the good work.
  10. I apologize gentlemen but I will not be able to make this week's mission. Keep up the good work Satarosa! I hope to make it on the next one with a few friends as well.
  11. I would say primary flight training such as ground schooling on weather, phraseology, principles of flight, instruments, and basic traffic patterns. Then on to more exciting things such as transition to faster planes, formation flying, weapons, acm, etc. You could have a lesson on taxiing and airport operations, traffic patterns, basic navigation, instruments, crosswinds, etc. Then maybe a lesson on formation flying, basic weapon delivery, bfm, etc. You could make a lot of videos on those subjects.
  12. You are welcome to check us out. We will be flying Sunday, August 25th at 1900Z on the Eagles Nest. (see signature) Just a simple fam hop around Nellis on the NTTR map. We use SRS for voice.
  13. The Eagles Nest is forming two groups to fly as attack squadrons in online events. These are the 75th-VFS "Tiger Sharks" and the 17th-VFS "Hooters". The 75th-VFS will be the A-10 component of our attack group. The 75th currently flies the A-10 out of Moody, GA, USA. The 17th-VFS will be the F-16 component. We will fly the F-16 in the air-to-mud role. The 17th FS has a long and storied history. "The responsibility of the 17th was close air support, air interdiction, suppression of enemy air defenses and armed reconnaissance to support worldwide contingencies. For this mission the squadron was eventually equipped with Block 50 aircraft and the AGM-45 Shrike anti-radiation missile. This was one of a few units within the USAF that flew with this missile." If interested shoot me a message on the Discord. (See signature).

  15. Thor that sounds like a great idea. I might pop in there sometime. You can also jump on my server. I encourage that kind of flying on the server. And I usually have training aircraft available.
  16. It has happened to me too recently. The server is fine. Something is screwy with the TCP communication on port 8088. I don't know if its my end or theirs. But now it seems the web gui is very slow to update at times.
  17. My server is good for the F-5. You or anyone else welcome at any time. It's constantly being developed. And I am forming a squadron based on the F-5 and the F-16.
  18. 75th Fighter Squadron "Tiger Sharks" forming. The Tiger Sharks will be primarily an attack squadron with a secondary air-to-air mission. The unit will fly fast jets such as the F-5 and the F-16 in the ground attack role. We have a 24/7 dedicated training server with TACVIEW integrated. If interested, jump on the server or the discord and shoot me a message. https://youtu.be/hpPykX3_E2o
  19. The title says it. We need them. The area is already on the map.
  20. Teknetium I was also looking for the same. But with the advent of the F-16 I am transitioning back to NATO aircraft. You are welcome to fly with us anytime on the Eagles Nest. I am trying to form an attack squadron there. Our focus aircraft at the moment are the F-5 and upcoming F-16. Still the Grach has a special place with me. I really wish ED would show it the attention it deserves.
  21. You can set it to whatever you want. The boats seems to top out at 29kt. At that speed you can still shoot the case 1 and have all the numbers work out.
  22. TACVIEW is now integrated on the server side. Squadron members will get a link to the Google Share where they can view and download their ACMI files. https://youtu.be/I6pIl4PXY8Q
  23. EDIT: I think my problems were just loading a big mission. All seems to work ok if I give the server a few minutes to load up properly.
  24. Habu I get them to land and takeoff again. But I don't think they re-arm or re-fuel. They seem to run out of gas later on. I have some CH47's that base hop. They only make it halfway before they run out of gas.
  25. The boat needs to be balls out for the overhead to work out. In DCS this is about 29 kt.
