it doesn't, it just crashes at that point... the getting 2 checkboxes thing is definitely linked to turning on OpenVR compatibility... but it still doesn't actually synchronise any effects into the Aero

so getting further ... bizarrely setting OpenVR compatibility in VarjoBase gets both synch boxes to show up, Apply preset of this effect runtime to all other instances gets a hang... i will see if it comes back

@Dunska, I only ever runin openxr... I only get the one sync option. I do not see any apply to openxr runtime? You say running up dcs in openxr and then switching to the desktop, do you mean taking of the hmd, and look at the desktop or do you mean restarting in desktop mode?

Are you basing this of Reshade? For me shadow hiding, and label hiding, based on cockpit mask, helicopter blade hiding. The other one that wasn't present so more of a feature request, is is there a way of hiding heat blur, in the hud... I ask as the effect ruins the hud by causing it to blur when a heat blur effect passes in front of the hud

i guess thinking about ergonomics i really wouldn't its highest point to reach above my waistline and it's lowest much below my thighs when seated... your body may vary ...

I wonder if the folder structure needs to change to accommodate the new pilot gunner co-pilot pilot split ?

Use an editor, and then save the file, I would recommend notepad++ or visual studio code (not full visual studio)

Are you looking in saved games\dcs\scripts? If one is not there create it....

nah program files is "special! as are a few others, but, if you have it in a folder you created you dont have permission issues

Honestly guys, I just tried this and it had no effect on VR just on 2d... maybe the fx i am testing doesn't work in VR ?

I'm using Varjo Aero (so I don't normally use) SteamVR
