+1, This will be a very nice addition. I use an axis for zoom and in order to have the default view I have to put the axis at 50% (luckily it has a detent there). If I go to less than 50%, I get the lens effect due to low FOV and I would love to limit that so I can use all my axis.

Yes it is! Haven't tried myself and no mention in the changelog but some people said it is fixed.

In 2.5.6 I've found out the 1.6 gives me the best results. The terrain looks great and the cockpit as well. My setup is in my signature.

It depends, if ED manage to do some serious multi-threading on the way we will see huge FPS boosts but if it is just a plain Vulkan implementation the performance improvement will be in the range you mention. Anyway, ED stated many times that the main point of implementing Vulkan is multi-threading so I'm hopeful.

So it looks like we are going to have nitrous oxide boost for the A-8, at least it is modelled in the X-Ray files of the new DM (thanks to Magic Zach).

I don't have the D9 (but I will get it during the next sale) but I can confirm that the A8 looks great. I assume that they will update it eventually but I haven't heard anything officially, the D9 is far older than the A8. I prefer the A8 because it fits better the Normandy scenario.

We should have an Easter sale. And also I encourage you to get one Warbird, they have great flight models, all of them I think have been updated to the last tech, and in the case of P51 and Spitfire they had great sounds updates with one for the 109 incoming. Also visibility improvements have been made, new damage model is coming, new map, assets P47... Just get one of them and the Normandy map + assets.

I have to try 2.5.6 yet, looks great! It looks like visibility has improved a lot. I hope that they implement the damage model soon and we can have a great start of the year for WW2.

Yes! Good pedals make a huge difference. I have the MFG Crosswind and I can keep the 109 and 190 straight without any effort and I already do it almost without thinking but some trim tabs would make it even more comfortable.

And what about all the coach pilots? Especially in the WWII stuff, reading some coments they speak like if they were flying their K-4s defending the motherland until the last minute.

Map the brake to an axis. I did mapped it to my MFG toe brakes and it improved a lot my ground handling. I also have the habit of using rudder and brake at the same time (this comes from IL2 and the 109) so I got used to it very fast.

But it had trim tabs that could be adjusted by the ground crew. The 109 has it under special options in the menu so it would be great if ED could add them also for the A8.

I think that it is quite clear that ED's intention is to release the Mosquito this year, they even showed it rocking in the last trailer. If this is true, at the end of 2020 we will have a solid WWII content but we will still be missing a Me-410.

This is the natural flow of things in the DCS community. Embrace it.

I don't like it either, but it is a feature because the sight is offset in the German planes. However, you can modify the default views to make it centered I guess.

Yeah, but man I think that we can deal with it. Of course you are the one to decide but us players can get over it. Also, I assume that most of us that are interested in warbirds will get the Channel map so you can fit the P47 there.
