True, though I thought though the serial had to be registered on the website. I thought it was like a if the serial your using matches the one on the site then your good, if not etc...

Something just kind of sprang to mind, How does someone who purchased from Direct2Drive play multiplayer if they don't have a serial through an account on the DCS website? Sorry for the hijack I guess but just something that sprang to mind when EtherealN said that about the master server.

One of my IL2 guys bought BS from D2D and it's the same as whats on the ED website. Assuming the hog is the same way.

Hope for another FC2 compatibility patch

Whats your system like KC and does the CTD give an error? -
Do you still have to activate the profile every time you select the weapon? I know for setting ripple quantities for rockets and bombs you have to set it, hit save, go back and hit activate profile before the profile is active. If you then deselect the munition you have to go back and select go to profile page and act profile again.

I think DOF would be cool but it would probably create alot of neck strain because rather than move your view to just be able to see a gauge you would have to focus your virtual eye's on it.

Need help with the campaign Devil`s Cross First mission
Insanatrix replied to deeteewan's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
I only played through it once and didn't manage to finish it however contact the JTAC in the mission and they guide you in to the target. I believe the targets for the mission goal are like 017 from IP Adder. -
In that case....... How many dots is allowed?

Flying isn't flying without really big weapons. Go for the Apache.

Game, Set, Match, Big E wins. Most people if they are dissatisfied with a product would be happy just not buying it and moving on, Maybe posting about their dissatisfaction once or twice. EtherealN has pretty much explained to you in detail what has changed yet you hang on to your argument even when proven wrong. Don't feed the troll Big E!!!

Seems to be tweaked for the better. I'm just going off my limited experience with B4 but overall the FM seems to be tighter, the jets thrust seems to have improved though it's not huge just slightly noticeable.
-
The explosions themselves are completely realistic and represent the real deal. Whats missing is the effects of the explosion like dirt being tossed chunks of metal flying etc etc... I don't think thats something your gonna be able to mod into the game.

Alot depends on the mission, the area of the map the mission uses, the skill level of the units and the overall thought put into the mission insofar as the number of units, the type of units used and the overall goals of the mission itself. A couple of MANPADS in a well thought out position can make your life a living hell in a mission. On the other hand 60 Abrams sitting in an open field can make the mission easier than pissing in a can, especially with no SHORAD defense.

I fixed it by simply going into device manager and updating the driver for trackIR from the trackIR directory. The new beta requires new drivers it said on their forums and that was how they suggested doing it. No USB port swapping needed.

It's DX9, they didn't feel they had time to implement DX11 features as per a post by wags.

Also I would say that ED has probably tapped their usual fanbase so to get new blood a sale would help somewhat. I mean selling 100 units at 19.99 or so is better than selling maybe 5-10 at 39.99.

I've had his problem before. It usually happens if you plug in a force feedback device and load up black shark. I left my FF racing wheel plugged in then couldn't figure out why my stick wouldn't trim and it enabled FF in black shark.
-
turn off force feedback in the ka-50/config/producer.lua file I believe.

Looks like burning tires or something made of rubber or oil.

I think people just like IL-2 because it is simpler. Up is up down is down there's not much to learn except energy concepts and FM. It also has a more personal or competitive feel and aspect to it. It also is based around WW2 and too many people think that missiles are the end all of air combat and are for noobs who can't make gun kills. I had a friend in my IL-2 squad who HATED FC2 because the planes have missiles. It wasn't just that fact though it was because he didn't know what to do when fired upon. He just assumed that once he's fired on he's screwed because it's the all powerful missile. He also didn't know how to scan radar or use EOS or any of the very simplistic systems. Same reason CoD4 was more popular than ArmA. Games are for people who want to have fun. Simulations are for people who want to learn and have fun learning.

Project 10 - DCS: A-10C Warthog Promo!
Insanatrix replied to Glowing_Amraam's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
I think what GA was getting at is the video is to get them interested, the sim can do the rest of the work. Everyone is always going to have different opinions on what "they" want to see. For its intent and purpose though it does it's job well, by the end of it I'm saying god damn I wanna play it. As for explaining in detail the features of the sim there's always the website and like GA said he will probably do another video like he did for BS. -
