  1. I know when I first installed during the beta I only had like 7 activations not 10. I also had to reformat and reinstall windows and everything and that took an activation. I thought it would only take another activation if a "good" portion of your hardware changed? or is that only if I deactivate first because im pretty sure I forgot to :music_whistling:
  2. they are working on it thought it couldn't be included with DCS: A-10C because of time constraints.
  3. It's released, it's available to the public, it's open to a review. I like your mentality though. Lets wait to review it until 2 years later when everything is perfect. Thats gonna help the 100,000 people that bought the product back when it came out but of course we need to wait to review it until we can put it in the best possible light so that we can please the 2 freakin % that are gonna get bent out of shape when we shed light on their baby. Objectivity... you gotta love it! I'm done with the stupidity.

  5. If you were chastened for anything it was for overbearing pretentious comments and a general lack of objectivity when questioning someone else's objectivity. Not to mention a complete lack of foundation for your opinions. this has to be my favorite quote of anything you have ever said. "If today, right now, I fired DCS Warthog up for the first time, I would be too much in awe to see that the SADL system has problems that will most likely be worked out within days." That is the definition of objectivity... yeah not really. When you review something you have to review it for what it is not what you want it to be or think it is. That IS OBJECTIVITY. You were right about one thing though, the relativity of truth hasn't been threatened... at least by anything you've posted so far.
  6. I'm trying to understand why the harsh attitude towards the review. I find it odd that someone so willing to speak or comment of others opinions declines to support his own. I would say that the facts were stated quite well, the sim in it's current state was represented for what it was and the review was quite fine and not premature nor in poor taste. I find it kind of funny that you choked on your scotch over a comment in the review that has been in the FAQ since release. Almost word for word I might add. I also have to say that since A-10C has no dynamic campaign or any kind of campaign system than missions strung together in a series Falcon 4 actually does surpass it in regard to that. I also wouldn't call that an opinion but more of a fact. Considering that was one of the only places Falcon 4 was brought up that I saw. I'm sorry but you can't just post criticism about a review that someone put work into and then play the im above and beyond that game. Not gonna fly especially with such flimsy justifications for said opinions that you gave.
  7. Not sure I understand your gripe with the review? Other than mentioning a few bugs he pretty much covers all the systems and features of the sim pretty nicely. I admit I only really skimmed over most of it, but what I read seemed pretty fair and objective to me. He also recommends it if you want it but to hold of on patches to see how it pans out. I think that is a good recommendation. Obviously you have to review what you have in front of you. It's just like he said, the problem with the SADL and datalinking is a big part of multiplayer and something that you will miss. Your assumption that it will be fixed in a couple of days is just that, an assumption. Obviously only ED knows when they will release a patch. As a reviewer you have to stick to the facts. Remember being objective is putting the facts before your personal feelings, thoughts or prejudice.

  10. Well my understanding is that 256 is 256*256 px and 512 ix 512*512px. Every frame would mean the MFD updates every frame, Meaning that for every 1 frame your GPU renders it also renders the frame in your MFD. It might only render say every 2-3 frames when not selected.
  11. If you want to drop 2 specific bombs from 2 specific stations as a pair you select them in the DSMS like normal. Edit the settings etc... rename the profile to something like Bombpair or whatever you want then save. Thats only if you care which stations they drop off of. If you have 4 mk84's and you don't care which stations drop then just set it to pairs save as default and select the profile through DSMS or the HUD as SOI. If you do it through DSMS you have to hit act profile otherwise you haven't loaded the profile.
  12. Also forgot to mention that if you just save to the default profile without renaming, I believe that profile is by default for all weapons of that type. If you want 1 specific weapon to have a profile you need to select that weapon, edit it's profile then save it as something like GBU-38-1 or GBU-38/1. Then you can just set HUD as SOI select the weapon type and go through profiles with the DSMS left/right short.
  13. Easiest Way I've found to do it, Save your profile, doesn't need to be renamed. Now if you just select a weapon station you are not selecting a profile you are selecting that weapon. go to the DSMS stats page, or the page that lists the weapons in grid view and select the type of weapon you want to use, once you do you should see an option to act pro or activate profile. Hit activate profile when you have the weapon type selected and your profile will be loaded. You will see it selects all weapons of that type on all stations and the profile you saved will be loaded.
  14. Yeah I was gonna say they are really damn bright, I would think you could see them for at least 4-5 miles if not more.
  15. It will eventually have to come because clock speeds wont keep getting faster and the only way to increase computation speed will be utilizing multiple core's.
  16. I've experienced it that bad so to me when I read the answer I saw, instead of set maxfps to 40, set maxfps to 15-20. Probably why I responded sarcasticly.
  17. My point was, for him a 40% decrease in framerate would still be flyable. Someone with less would be below a minimal acceptable framerate. Not debating wether or not a change in fps is what you notice rather than the fps itself. Merely pointing out the question of wether the drop is necessary and acceptable.
  18. Ahh so the person getting 40 fps which is perfectly flyable should set his maxfps to 15? Hey he wont notice the difference...
  19. I've already looked at them, they are set just like you would set one in your own mission. They just don't give data half of the time.
  20. It actually flew really smooth and didn't feel all the heavy.
  21. I've never gotten the JTAC to send data over the SADL in that mission and I have no idea how to complete it either. I've given up mostly on trying to use the JTAC. It's hit and miss right now so hopefully they can fix it up in time.
  22. Don't know why you would want 6 mav's anyways when you can have 16 GBU-12's :megalol: . Eddie can attest to the effectiveness of that :).
  23. Awesome work. Definitly a good way to go with the patches, especially if you have bugs that cause CTD's and such.
  24. Would it be possible to trigger an event based off weapon release or guns in SP? Also would it be possible to create a trigger based off of a munition exploding rather than a unit dying? Rather than creating a trigger and having to select a ton of units that could possibly die I could create one trigger with munition expended for example to trigger a response to the attack. That way even if a unit didn't die base defenses could be activated in response to the attack. It could be possible to do right now im not a ME guru or anything. Again just an idea. *edit* sorry if this is a thread hijack. I kind of consider it in the same area as triggers based on player interaction.
