I have used this command line several times with no problems. Now it doesn't work. Did they change something?

Rockets work on Caucasus and Normandy maps, but not on Persian Gulf. They pass right through with no damage and even splashes in the water are missing or very weak. This only happens on PG. Anybody else notice this? I have run cleanup and repair and am using latest version 2.5.6.49798, but it also happens on stable 2.5.541371.1

Is there an English version? I don't understand German.

I know that the Kuz won't have any ground crew at first, (hopefully it will eventually.) My question is: will we be getting an updated version of the Kuz or will it be the same as what we have now? The current version could use a few extra touches on the graphics. I love that ship and the Su-33 is bad ass, although, it really needs a clickable cockpit.

Thank you shagrat. That works great. I have always used the Run.exe file though (see below) and wondered why it disappeared.

I just updated my open beta to version 2.5.6.47404 and my desktop shortcut no longer works, so I went to the root folder and there is no Run.exe launcher. I can't start the game, please help. :helpsmilie: BTW, I can start it with power shell. (Run.exe) I tried cleanup and repair, but no luck. Neither command is recognized. (.\DCS_Updater.exe repair) Anyone?? :dunno: I finally got cleanup and repair to run, but I still don't have a Run.exe file. I'm going crazy trying to figure it out.

Well.....it's Sunday. I reinstalled it twice and still no luck. As I said earlier, the update didn't work either. :helpsmilie::dunno:

It didn't work. I ran the updater to go to version 2.5.5.41371.1 and it didn't do anything. It doesn't even show on the DCS home screen. Still says 2.5.5.41371. Any other ideas?

Why don't the airport lights illuminate the planes on the ground??

I have both 2.5.5 stable and 2.5.6. beta. Everything is ok for 2.5.6. When I downloaded the free trial version for 2.5.5, I was prompted for a license key. I clicked cancel, went to ME and there it was, but when I set it for player, all I can get is the F2 view. No cockpit view. None of this happens in 2.5.6, it works perfectly. Any thoughts??? :(

Looks like rotor blade to me. try turning shadows of and see if that helps

I was going to ask a similar question. I received The Su-33 three weeks ago, but still haven't received the F-18. I know that the EA release isn't until after April 15th, so my question is, will I get the F-18 early like I did the Su-33 or do I have to wait until release of the EA?

I just DL'd the F-15 and Su-27. There are no training missions for the F-15, but plenty for the Su-27. Is it supposed to be that way? I would like to try the Eagle, but with no training, I don't know where to start. :( BTW, I am on 2.5.6 Beta

Shortly after installing 2.5.6, my alpha 2.5.5 version got corrupted. It had been buggy for a few weeks, anyway, I simply deleted 2.5.5 and downloaded it fresh. Now I didn't have any trouble assigning it to my A: drive where I keep all my games. You must have missed the window asking you where to install it. Anyway, as you can see, both versions sit nicely side by side on my A:drive. Desktop shortcuts are next to one another including update buttons for each version.

Can I copy and paste the input folder to the new version? I still have the previous 2.5.5 It sure would beat having to re-map my controls.

I had a similar but different issue. I created a ME mission to practice T/O and landings with my new Su-33 on both runway and carrier. I added, just for scenery, a couple of helos to take off from the carrier. When I set the jet on the CV for player, I got stuck in map view. When I set player for runway, it worked fine. Went back to CV and back to map view. I then deleted the helos and voila`no problem from either CV or AF. Go figure.

I too have noticed some bugs in 2.5.6 as well as massive FPS drops. Some of my more populated ME missions have dropped as low as 8 to 12 frames when they previously were at 35 to 50. I anticipated this. so instead of updating, I installed 2.5.6. separately. I have 2 launchers on my desktop so all I have to do to revert to 2.5.5.41962 is open it. If you have room on your drive, maybe you should consider doing this in the future. Cheers: :thumbup:
