  1. Same here. The switch covers used to be a solid red color like the one on the right. The words/label "Parking Brake" are missing from the handle as well.
  2. Thank you Reflected. At least I know I'm not alone. As for everyone else's suggestions, I have done multiple cleanup and repairs, un/reinstalled the P-47 module and did another cleanup and repair. I've never used any sound mods, ever. The only mods I have are Civil Aircraft and Military Aircraft. This started before I added those mods. I have tried removing all mods, but the electric motor noise is still gone. I then used a trick I learned awhile back. I renamed my C:Users/saved games open beta folder to DCS Open Beta.bak. Then I launched the game and created a new OB Folder in Saved games. Nothing worked! All I hear is the canopy on rollers, A thunk when it closes, but no electric motor sound. It happens on all maps (I only have 3) See attachments. Any other suggestions??? 3. Boring....Looks like a statue. It would be better if he was tearing s**t up. :D
  4. Maybe I'm missing something, but isn't the obvious answer just to have a large enough drive? DCS is a very large file. I'm not even halfway to owning everything and I'm up to 136 Gb now on a dedicated 500 Gb NVMe M2 SSD. There is nothing else on the drive. I expect that after I have everything I want I will be over 200 and then of course ED will come up with more shiny new s**t that I just HAVE to have. :D I can't help but think, "is 500 Gb gonna be enough 5 or even 10 years from now?" I don't intend to use this drive for anything else. It is for DCS only so no need to have downloads or anything else on a different drive.
  5. Me too
  6. Oh dear is right. :(
  7. No. I just enter into a holding pattern and wait my turn. Signal Charlie always comes eventually, although I'm usually last in line. :D Are you sure called "see you at ten?" That will prevent Signal Charlie from happening.
  8. I did that, no change
  9. It's not just warbirds. Trimming the F-86 will make you pull your hair out. You have to do numerous adjustments of both the trim and stick and can take a long time to get it right.
  10. I have a hard time telling if my gear is up or down as the red and green lights are way too dim. It there some way that they can be made at least as bright as on the P-51? Is it because they are on the upper portion of the instrument panel whereas on the Mustang they are at the bottom? I wouldn't think so. It doesn't seem to rely on global lighting angles. Even in the shade they are barely visible.
  11. What about those of us who do not play MP. Will it work with SP?
  12. When the P-47 module first came out you could hear a nice whirring sound when opening or closing the canopy. Since the last update that sound is gone. The canopy is silent. Other warbirds use a hand crank, but the Jug uses an electric motor. I miss that sound. Can we have it back please?
  13. If you interrupt an update or download, it will remember where you left off. If you watch when you restart the download, it will say "checking for already downloaded files." It will then continue from there.
  14. The NHIndustries NH90 is a medium-sized, twin-engine, multi-role military helicopter.
  15. True, but tracks are anything but reliable now. I don't know how many tracks I have that show me crashing within a couple of minutes. I would be trying to make a video of some awesome stuff that happened, but never make it to that point because my plane or helo just decides to do a swan dive. This happens way too often to just be a random bug. It's the system.
  16. For Korean war, The iconic F9F Panther comes to mind which was carrier based. We could use more carrier capable aircraft now that we have the Supercarrier module. Speaking of carriers, how about WWll carriers like the Enterprise or Yorktown? Of course then we would need planes like the F4F, F6F, F8F, TBD, F4U, et al.
  17. Nah........Tying refueling to a tanker truck and rearming to a supply vehicle makes much more sense. Even to the FARP ammo supply and fuel statics that we already have.
  18. OK I caught that. I attached the wrong file, DUH. I haven't been loading moose twice. That was a one time thing. But you gotta believe me. I was doing everything right and no helo would load. and now it seems to be working again. I haven't done anything different. If I have done something different, I have no idea what it was. I've been pulling my hair out for days and now all of a sudden it's working again. It's kinda like when your car is making a funny noise, but when you take it to the mechanic, it stops. As soon as I called you, it started working again. I'm gonna be scratching my head for some time trying to figure out what happened. I need a drink I have successfully loaded all three US carriers, the Kuznetsov and the Tarawa. Thank you so much for your help. I have a lot to learn.
  19. Any chance we could get a better wallpaper for the SC? This one is out of focus.
  20. For those who would like to try and help with my new issue, here are the .miz and .lua files. This is a brand new mission and for whatever reason, the helo won't load. :helpsmilie: Please. I'm still a newbie with scripting. :D Roosevelt_Rescue_Helo (2).lua PG Helo Test.miz
  21. The SAR chopper is a fundamental part of carrier operations and should definitely be a part of the ME. As for MOOSE, I have been using a SAR script for some weeks now that has, up until now, been working flawlessly. Something weird happened after the last two recent updates. While all of my existing missions are still working, I can no longer create a new mission using the same scripts that I have been using all along. I thought that maybe the new update broke something, so I reverted back to 2.5.6.52437 but that didn't help. I still can't make a new mission and if I remove the helo from a previous mission, I can't put it back. The helo shows as "allies flights" in the mission briefing, but will not load in the game. I have done numerous "cleanup and repairs." No Joy. I sent a PM to FunkyFranky who authored this script and am still waiting to hear back. Roosevelt_Rescue_Helo.lua dcs.log
  22. A control curve would be awesome. The way it is now, it's almost impossible to trim an F-86 or P-47. The input is too severe and it takes forever to get it right.
