Can't fire rockets after reload (Solved)
rayrayblues replied to rayrayblues's topic in Bugs and Problems
True, but there is a workaround. Use active pause. LShift+LWin+Pause You can then look down, move the stick and turn the knob. It is a PITA though, breaks your momentum, immersion and not at all realistic. Hopefully they will at least give us a key binding or better yet a counter that only goes to 10. It's even worse when using the Bazooka tubes. You only get 6 shots with those. -
If you give each soldier waypoints, they should walk.

How to get rescue helo to stay with carrier?
rayrayblues replied to rayrayblues's topic in DCS: Supercarrier
I made a video that might help. -
I hope we are getting it soon.

I hope they give us the C version with the 20mm cannons. That would be so cool. I used to fly it a lot in War Thunder. Great plane and carrier capable with the upgraded landing gear.

I have been having the problem of HVAR and M8 rockets not firing after reloading. It is a simple issue with the rocket counter, but it took me a while to figure it out. The video demonstrates it and I included a short description below. The counter won't reset to 1 after firing 10 rockets because it is a 24 count counter. If you push the "weapons release" button 14 more times, it will fire the next rocket when it comes around to 1. You have to manually reset the counter to 1. There is no mapping for that knob and it's hidden behind the stick, so if you are using "unlimited ammo" as I do with a target practice mission, reloading in the air, you have to take your "eyes off the road" to do the reset. To avoid crashing into something, I use "active pause," then I can look down behind the stick and reset it. We need either a 10 count counter like in the Mustang or, Some way to map the reset knob. There is none as of now. How about a 24 rocket load out?? That would work, but I don't know if it's realistic. Is there a historical load out like that?? I mean, why have a 24 count counter if you don't have 24 rockets?? Thanks, Ray Edit: Additional info: I just did some research and there were no 24 rocket loadouts. Max loadout is 10, 5 inch (130mm) HVAR or 2, M10 Bazooka tubes with 3, 4.5 inch (110mm) M8 rockets each.

Thank you all for your input, I've got it all sorted out. The reason you can't fire rockets after reloading is because of the counter. There are only 10 rockets (HVAR), but the counter goes to 24. You must reset the counter to 1 after reloading otherwise you have to push the "weapons release" button 14 times to fire the next rocket. Special thanks to Saburo_cz for pointing me in the right direction. The counter on the Mustang goes to 10 and then automatically resets itself to 1. The T-Bolt doesn't reset until you reach 24. I made a short video to demonstrate. enjoy. I also made a bug report. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=286968

or....hold RCtrl+O to turn it up.

IDK about that. I use rockets on the Mustang, Sabre and Huey all the time. This is the first module that I have had trouble with. To Smirking Gerbil: There is no manual for the D-40. The D-30 manual mentions rockets on page 46, but offers no details. I try not to use too many button or keyboard mappings. (I'm old and have a bad memory :D) I find it more immersive to click on the buttons and switches in the cockpit. There are separate mappings for dropping bombs and firing rockets. I mapped separate buttons for each on my HOTAS. There are keyboard mappings. To Rover: I loaded both bombs and rockets and I tried every combination I could think of. The "drop bomb" button didn't work for me and yes I flipped the switch to the rocket position. Bombs are working perfectly. It's only the rockets that are borked. To Saburo_cz: I didn't know you had to do that, I'll try it next time. Thanks everybody for your input. I don't feel like a dummy just yet. Let's keep the conversation going until I do. :music_whistling:

Been there, done that, however, on one mission they worked for one rack, and then they stopped. (I made a target practice mission with unlimited ammo on) I dropped some bombs and then flipped the switch to rockets. I fired 10 HVAR's, reloaded and then nothing. F2 shows them on the wing, but they won't fire. Maybe a bug????

I've been using LCtrl+C to close and LShift+C to open. Never noticed though if the switch moves when I do. It doesn't. I don't know why it wouldn't. I guess I can live with my T-Bolt sounding like a Mustang. :D

I was so excited to finally have rockets on this bird, thank you to the Devs. I know I'm probably missing something and I'll feel like a dummy when I find out, but I have mapped buttons to fire single, fire dual, flipped every switch including the safety and nothing happens. It's hard to see, but down low there is a lever to select alternate/dual. That doesn't do anything either. What am I doing wrong?????

P-47D-30 "early" can not carry AN-M65 bombs
rayrayblues replied to saburo_cz's topic in Bugs and Problems
Yeah, even the D-25 and D-28 had M65's. -
When I use the switch with the mouse the sound is there on the D-30, but not the D-40. Well, we're halfway there I guess.

Hi guys, I'm trying to learn how to edit Dynamic Weather and I'm using a tutorial from AirGoons. https://www.airgoons.com/w/DCS_Reference/Editing_Dynamic_Weather There are instructions for placing weather systems in a trigger zone for easy sizing, location and multiple systems. I extracted the mission file from the .miz and made a cyclone the same size and location (X-Y Axis) as a trigger zone using Notepad++. All good so far, but I'm stuck on this point: "Step 4: Re-inserting the mission file Go back to the zip manipulation tool and do the reverse of the extraction process. Take your newly edited mission file and copy it back into the .miz file. " What is the reverse of the extraction process? How do I use 7zip to re-insert the "mission" file into the .miz file. Anybody??? :helpsmilie:

I just downloaded V0.86.7z from this link: https://filehorst.de/folder.php?key=dnc1kh. Try it and let me know.

Thank you...

Thanks Art, I'll check that, but the sound used to be there all the time. Those tracks were made just for illustration purposes, but it sounds the same when the engine is running and I close the canopy on the runway just prior to takeoff. When the module was first released, I believe it was a video by Wags who pointed out the electric motor sound effect along with the new tire noise. Edit: I tried those switches, no joy. :(

Wasd going to buy this after testing it for free (why I wont)
rayrayblues replied to Hotdognz's topic in OctopusG
You beat me to it. I was gonna mention the Wildcat and if I'm not mistaken, it was 39 times on the crank not 32. -
??????????????? I love it when you guys say things like "Oh, it's adjustable" but don't bother to explain how, or which file, or which parameters to adjust like we are all geniuses or something. Thanks for nothing. I would like to know because even though I don't have this map, the same thing happens on the PG map and I would like to fix it.
