I think the guy who made the video made a mistake and mixed up some numbers. The speed of the F16 in the video is very wrong. At sea level it can fly mach 1,2 ( 1470km/h ) as seen in video. up high it can fly mach 2 ( 2.120km/h ) I can see the F22 can go like 2500km/h and i imagine that is not at sea level, so the f16 data must be wrong. :) But nice video though.

In a 2-3 day old podcast wags did indeed say that once the harm modes are finished the that developer will go fulltime on the TGP. ( My guess. other programmers have been working on it for a while ) He also said that the TGP actual is among some of the upcomming new features, in the near future. So what i asume by that is its max 1 month away before we get some basic TGP. Personaly if i can just get a TGP that can look at a waypoing and then lase for gpu bombs then that is a good start. Then at least we can find the enemy. And one of the next upcomming features they are working on are to finish the data link system. Many of the future features for the hornet require the link 16.. example sending/recieving target data from your wingman. GPS system for bombs. Marking radar data/coordinate/mark target and such things.

In wags new podcast that is a few days old he spoke about what is next for the f18. In the near future..: ( my guess 0 - 2 month ) First they will finish the Harm system ( prebrief mode, pullback mode ) ect. After that they finish the data link and then the devs will be moved fulltime to finish the TGP system. AFter that the TGP targeting pod will be implemented. ( my guess in 2-4 month ) Full ins, gps, deepdive. A/G radar, slam, walleye, jsow, jdam ( guess anti ship missiles as well ) PS. personlay though i hope to get the TGP soon so we can lase targets our self, and see the enemy on the ground. It will be very handy.

If you play in VR then the fps is okay.. I asume dcs fps counter in vr only calculate on 1 eye = 45fps But if you play with ordinary monitor or monitors then 45 is way to low for your system.. I suspect either you did not install the right driver, or you are having an overheating issue of your cpu. Personaly i get +100fps when i play with monitor 2560x1440p 144hz. and 45-50fps in vr. ( VR in dcs will be further developed and especially texture on the ground effect vr allot.. if not mistaken wags spoke a bit about this in his latest podcast that they will optimize the game more for vr ). I have a ryzen 2800x 8 cores 16 threats, 16gb ram 2080rtx and m2 drives. My game run really good. VR is pimax 4k. ( ps. in vr turn off vsync, and in general look at some of the vr tutorials with tips and tricks. )

Since wags have pimax 5k, i hope they also will support the upcomming addon hardware for pimax. Its an addon that allow you to "scan" your hands and use them in vr, without the need of using gloves or controllers. No i would never use 1000usd for a trottle. ( i own virpil joystick, base, and virpil trottle and total that was about 1000usd with transport and import tax... I regret after i order it, but now that it have arrived I think its really good quality that will last many years and I forgot about what i pay for it and have the feeling it can last 20 years = cheaper than buying new joystick every 2-5 years when the "cheaper" hotas systems become unprecise.. . All hotas i had in the past like the G940, x52, x52pro, x56 and so on all became unprecise after about 6 month usage. The virpil is after 6 month of ownership still 100% precise. )

Ohhh as Opps write, check you are running the latest version of the open beta. Reason are the SA page was introduced in the latest version of the game, so if you do not use the most up to date version, then that is why its not working ;-) Update the game. Alternative things you can try. Im not 100% sure, but maybe you have clicked the DCNTR in to right corner of the SA page and disabled what kind of information you see on the screen.. Example you can turn off own flights and many other different kind of things. My guess is, you disabled everything.. However once you load another mission or take a new plane then your f18c should reset it self to default = everything is on and visible. Well a long shot try to press D/L and hold the on/off button in for like 2 seconds. Next press Enter on the keypad. Turn on IFF Got to the map and enter SA moode... zoom out to example 160nm to check if other planes or radar sites show up on the screen. In general the moment you turn on the D/L you should at least see your self in the middle of the screen on the SA page. Personaly i did not experience your bug. PS:. Try to put the SA page on one of the top MFD's / screens instead of the lower one.. sometimes in the f18c this can solve an problem temponary.

Below your keypad 1-9 in front of you need to turn on the D/L function AND you need to turn on IFF that is 3 buttons to the left of the D/L function. Now look on your right tv screen and select it to be your radar. Make sure you have the small "diamond" in the top right corner so its "SOI" sensor of interst. Now in the right bottom of the radar screen press the lowest button ( cant remember what its called but watch wags tutorial and you can see how its done.. AND you need to turn on IFF that is 3 buttons to the left of the D/L function. Mostly you can ID friend/foe from far away and see them as enemy on screen, but you first get a aircraft type name when you get withing 25nm if you aproach in an angle that let the radar analyze the "jet fans"

There have been a rearm bug for +5 month in the f18c how to fix so you can play. ( maybe this will solve the maveric issue ) When you land to rearm then always switch away from the weapon inventory screen so its not visible. If you do not do this, the you will typical get a bug where you are unable to select your weapons and use them once you get airborn. Only way to fix the bug when it happen is to land the plane and rearm again without the weapons invenstory page being visible. hope that was of some help ;-)

Think of the RWR as a 360 degree top down view of a "map". Exaample if it say 29 and the 29 is located at your 2 o'clock then there is an enemy mig 29 in that direction. When the mig29 fires a radar missiles you will see a long line on the RWR from the mig 29 pointing towards the center of the RWR. At the same time you hear a fast beeping sound. Now instant turn example example 90 degree left and drop chaff now and then. What happen is the missile that was fired now see you move away and it have to correct the flight path to intercept you. When the missile are forced to turn and cannot just fly in a direct line then it will use more energy and thereby loose its speed faster and have reduced range.. The RWR radar warning will however NOT inform you about anything if the mig29 is close enough that it can fire its heat seeking missiles. I will imagine in future updates the horner will be able to warn you but im not 100% sure.. just saying the rear of the plane i imagine have the ability to detect a strong heat source that "appear" and warn you about it. But its a guess from me.

I would imagine a script could solve the problem and allow some people to use easy refuel by pressing a keyboard combo such as left shift+alt+R when you are within 1nm of the tanker. I dont know if such a script excist. And also people need to know how to install the script. ( or maybe in the editor if there was an option to click a plane and select unlimited fuel ).

error Hello I have an error when i try to start the dcs server saying.. ( popup window ) Can't run Sorry, only one instance per write dir is allowed I have a feeling the problem might be that I have in the past started my gaming computer and hosted a server.. And then when i now try to run the server software it see the old "server" and that maybe conflict. But it just a thought that might be the issue. I am using this command to startup the server ( i use VR so i had to disable it so it dont launch the vr software ) "D:\DCS World\bin\DCS.exe" --server --norender --force_disable_VR -w <Delle-Server> Do anyone know how to fix this ? In my humble oppinion buy the f18c. Its a modern multirole plane that so to speak can do any mission type in the game. AND as far as i know the f18 will when development advance also get a ground radar while the f14 does not have a ground radar ( i think ). So it will be difficult to find the enemy on the ground especially if enemy is not near your waypoint. With other words if you know in what area the enemy are supposed to be you have ca chance to find them. The F14 is older than the f18c. But strength of the f14 is that it can fly faster and longer, and have the phoenix very long range missile. And it can carry more bombs than the f18 however more difficult to find the enemy on the ground with the f14 compared to the f18c since it have a ground radar. If you fly together with a friend, and one person fly the f18c and spot the ground targets with radar and send the coordinates to the f14 then it become a great ground attack plane... But in general i would say the f14 is mostly good at A/A, all though it can drop bombs. But the f14 is a pretty cool plane though ;-) Well get the f18c becourse it can do anything pretty good, is my advice. PS... The f18c is in development and is not 100% finished yet... the big things taht are missing is the Targeting pod ( that will come soon ), and the ground radar, and the link16 that allow you to send/recieve data to other planes such as the a10 ect. The f14 i think is almost finished in development and have almost all features avaliable from day 1.

I dont think the developer cannot do anything about the tree.. BUT the LZ waypoint can be moved very easy to an area where there are no tree. ;-) I did not try the mission, but if you can give your windman orders then maybe ask thim to stop before you yourself fly to the lz. And then ask him to return when you want him to do so.

Solved Thanks to all for trying to help me. ;-) I figured out what the problem was. In the installed modules tab there was 1 module that i did not activate. It is named " JS avionics" I thought it was from VR mod that i tried and dident like so it was turned off. But once i turned it on then instant i could see the NS-430 navigation system in the options menu named Special, and when i tried a quick flight with the mi8 it show up as it should. Anyway problem solved. ;-)

Solved..: Hello product..: NS 430 Navigation system for MI-8mtv2 problem..: The NS 430 is not visible in the cockpit of the mi8 Hello. I own the mi8, and the ns430 for the mi8 and the ns430 stand alone version that can be used for several planes via an popup menu. My problem is that after i activate the ns430 for the mi8 and the ns430 then it does not show up in the cockpit of the mi8. I dont know if this is a bug. I read on some forum that In settings/special tab i should be able to select the ns430 and turn it on/off but I cannot find it in the special tab or any option to turn it on. And i also cannot find the ns430 when i go though the keyboard commands. Its like its not installed even though its activated ect. I am playing 2.5.X beta ( the version that is up to date 28th jan 2019 ) Can anyone help me ? Thank you.

The most common problem regarding not being able to shoot your weapon 1). master arm need to be switched on 2). the hornet have two fire buttons.. maybe you configure your joystick button wrong, or maybe you configure a wrong axis. Also be aware that often when the hornet is updated, then your controls dissaper and you have to load your settings again. It can be that your buttons where unassigned after a patch 3). did you try several aa or ag weapons... reason a few of the aa ones are for training and i dont think they actual fire. ( i dident use them ). All in all if you select an aa weapon then you can actual fire them without having a lock. maybe try to use of the the tutorial missions and see if your plane can fire, since its loaded with weapons that work and already configured and ready to go. :)

try to check if you put the correct bomb on your plane.

Hi. I presume you ment AM4 I had the 1800x and now i have the 2700X ryzen cpu 2700x run 3700mhz on all 8 cores a minimum, and can boost up to like 4300mhz Well at least that is the offical numbers. BUT the 2700x is a modern smart cpu.. If you have a good cpu cooler then it will mesure performance and automatic run faster. MY 2700x run all the time with about 4000mhz and boost up to about 4550mhz on all cores. By the way it do reduce the speed of some cores to boost a few cores. But this is something the cpu it self mesure.. Example if a games do not use 8 cores then it register this and boost exaple 2 or 4 cores to run faster and the other slower. I am very happy with my ryzen 2700x it a "cheap" cpu with 8 cores 16 threads and compared to the 1800 ryzen that barly could overclock highter than 3900mhz then the ryzen 2700x run much better, and all my bios settings are on auto by the way without overclocking. ( my ram run with 3200mhz ) All in all the first time i power on the cmputer with the 2700x cpu then the computer felt more smooth and faster than before. ( tip if you buy a new cpu, then always update your bios before you install the new cpu ) AND unregister your dcs modules/keys.

I do not recommend vive or ocolus for dcs.. People should really consider to buy the Pimax 4k headset it have much better resolution and does not recommend a big pc to run perfect. I have the pimax 4k my self and compared to the olculus that i had before then pimax 4k is 3-4 times better. Much better image quality.! OR The brand new 5k+ pimax vr headset, with wide screen video and even higher resolution... Keep in mind this require a minimum of a 1070gtx to run, and even better a 1080 or highter. There is als othe pimax 8k however testers claim you should not buy it since its software updscaling of the image = its require minimum a 1080gtx And also reading text in a cockpit is actual more clear oon the pimax 5k+ than with the 8k. ( ps... 8k is a sales pr gimic ) In general get the 5k+ they are similar and you can upscale graphics your self if you like. The 5k+ comes in different versions.. some with hand motion where it scan your real hands and put them in the game ( if a game support this techonology ) and there are also larger packages with base station, vr hands and so on... YOU DO NOT need a base station to use pimax products, they have a build in gyro so you can if you only play dcs world play with only 1 headset and nothing els. Be aware that pimax is a chinese firm and you have to pay import tax if you buy from them.. and be aware if your vr headset breaks then its gona be a nightmare to have it repaired with long waiting times for shipping and paper work.. i dont know with the release of the 5k+ if you can get it swapped with another headset from a eu/us warehouse or if you should send it to china.... There is an ILS mod somewhere that allow you to have ILS in the hornet. Search for it on google or here on the forum and you find it. I only tried it one time and was able to land via ILS in Dubai INT airport.

When i hear the sound in the video, then i mostly though that 1st april came early this year.. ha ha and its a joke. :megalol: But yes jets do sound different in some situations and in what angle you hear the sound from ( sometimes ) but dident notise that sound in dcs yet ;-)
