I'm stoked to hear Cobra mention future aircraft that would use the Forrestal. Aside from the obvious A-6, hopefully they plan for more U.S. Naval airplanes and helicopters that would have graced the deck of the Forrestal during her career.

I personally like the pre-order because I know it's getting close. Maybe the pre-order's help infuse money into an ED project to get completed sooner, and if that's the case it absolutely benefits DCS gamers. I also enjoy the pre-order discount because I know the Early Access is just that, and that its a work in progress to work out all the bugs. I take the discount knowing what that means. If I want to pre-order or not, that's all on me. But I wouldn't advocate that everybody should lose the ability to pre-order just because I didn't like it. I'd pre-order the A-6E, A-7, and F-4E right now even if ED said they won't be out for 3 years. Because why not? $60 is a night at the movies for the family.

The Airboss station in SC looks pretty rad, can't wait to try that out.

Voted for digital, I think the it's easier to read at a glance versus the analog. But I would enjoy both, and will enjoy any one you choose.

Imagine how many of the old bridles are in the ocean rusting away, before the Navy implemented the Launch Bar.

[REPORTED]elevators on tail boom not synchronised to cyclic pitch
Heimz replied to Rifter's topic in Bugs and Problems
FWIW, I have never seen my own elevator move, but I see other Huey's moving their elevators, been that way since I've had the Huey, purchased in early 2019. I recall seeing elevators moving after the epic 2.5.6 update, but haven't checked on the most recent update. -
Will we have immediate access to all modules or do we have to download the ones we want to try?
-
You mean a template like a livery skin for the Carrier itself? That would be pretty cool if they did, make a WW2 Dazzle camouflage?

So in short, problem with BRRRTTTT. Fixing BRRRTTTTT.

I had same problem today, I cancelled the order and made a new one, on the first page of checkout I was then able to change to Paypal instead of "Visa" (which i think turned into Safepay on first go-around). Then checked out like with Paypal like I always do. Maybe try that?

Well, the F-14 wasn't intended to land on the Tarawa in any way, shape, or form, yet.... one can land on the Tarawa just fine. So it's a pretty reasonable assumption that yes, the most anticipated module to ever come out for DCS (The F-14) would work on the new Super Carrier module.

Same as everyone above, with the discount for Hornet owners plus pre-order plus miles applied, it's a sweet deal. Thanks ED!!!

It would be cool to setup radio towers or objects on the ground as a path marker for planes to follow to comprehend proper distances for a Case 1 recovery. Even though the airfield doesn't move, I think it would help because I always run across fellow pilots going 5 miles behind the boat for their final and it completely wrecks the pattern.

AO Server is hands down the best, I wouldnt change a thing. Nothing cooler than starting up a Tomcat and seeing a Hornet do a smokey High Alpha in dirty config @ 75 knots and 50 ft AGL. Love seeing a Huey a foot off my canopy and then shadow me as I make my way to the craters and snake through them as I take off for the Stennis where I will probably get rear ended by a SU-33. But I do it again, and again, and again. Because its the BEST place to be, so much help, so many friends, so many cool adventures.... The speed contests, the high altitude contests, the 20-plane form flights, the smoke shows, the aerobatic displays a foot off the deck, the sonic boom passes on the ramp, the hovering Hell's Angels, the warbirds flying under bridges; all of the experiences are absolutely amazing. There's is always an audience, and to me personally, when I know people are watching, it brings my game to a new level. AO did a great job in making it so immersive and fun, and splitting up the FC3 and Hi Fi planes was a huge step in keeping the runways manageable. KOB today is nowhere freaking close to what Anapa was a year ago. Anapa will never recover from the onslaught it received, it's runways are forever cursed from the ghosts of planes long crashed. Hi five to AO server for making such a friendly, fun, and learning server.

From 12/18 Changelog: I mostly fly U.S. planes, but I'd fly the crap out of a Tornado.

Most important feature not on the current CVN-74 in bold.

Ha, maybe we should ask for this to be modeled? 5jxcSY1AwrM

Here's the AMA from Wags: Maybe I'm reading this wrong, but he isn't shutting it down, just laying priorities.

I'm having a blast with it, thanks ED for the great work and Early Access!

Fighting Falcon is what General Dynamics named it, but the pilots referred to it as the Viper. Same for the A-10, it's technically named the Thunderbolt II, but the pilots nicknamed it Warthog.

Can't wait to drop the port-side elevator with a Tomcat on final!
-
The superstructure has bulbs configured in a "71" Shape, maybe that'll change or they'll change/remove the CVN-74 stencils on the deck crew vests.

Based on today's update pics, they are showing us the Teddy Roosevelt, CVN-71. The Big Stick is coming!
