Have done mission 3. Not sure if I want to show it, I guess I cussed even more, I might even mentioned that Paco need to give back his drivers license. There was no "yes, Sir" involved. Have to check grading. Remember one unsat, which does not make me very happy. This all gets me scared about what is still to come

First I need to get my neck back in check. Flying in VR, as one can see, it is pretty fast clear, that pretending to be a pilot is actually not an old men's game. 2 hours of "flying" equals 2 days of necessary recreation time.

Mission 2 - play through If you want to see how I disgrace myself, have a look. Two hours of boredom for the viewer, two hours of terror for me

Might there be a possibility to add yardstick? Combat spread is hard to guess, and Yardstick might help. Also, it will help me make my case that I can prove that Paco hates me and is lying about me too far out

AI problem after AAR (day) in mission 2
Lt_Jaeger replied to Jayhawk1971's topic in Bugs and Problems
I found the parade part pretty hard, for me it is way easier to fly off a human. To bad that the AI can't be tuned a little better, but hell, so far its great. Can't comment on the other parts of Mission 2 due to CTD after loading in the new objective. -

G" users - query regarding cable seating
Lt_Jaeger replied to markturner1960's topic in Virtual Reality
I had to buy one recently, in Germany you can get them for around 100€. If I'm not mistaken, I'm on number 4. My index is on number 2 but just because I rolled with my office chair over the connector -
Btw, I did not fly. In the working condition, plane will get trimmed in accordance with the Stabilisator movement. Oviously it won't in the other state.
-
Here you go. I only did FFB ON/OFF with the non-linear setting FFB on non linear.trk Options_FFB-on_non-linear.lua FFB off non linear.trk Options_FFB-off_non linear.lua
-
The trimming via trim hat only works (for a "normal" joystick) if the FFB setting in misc (?) is turned off. Tested with linear and non linear setting in special tab.

Free 3D Plans for an F-4 Phantom/Century Series Grip!
Lt_Jaeger replied to _BringTheReign_'s topic in DCS: F-4E Phantom
Printer started. Will take quiet some time, because I just now placed the order for switches and stuff. Did put in for some more in expectation what else you will come up with Thank you for sharing. -
Overspending the flaps? If they stick out, wings won't move.
-
Just trim to +10 on the trim indicator and you are golden. Slight adjustments are necessary off course.

Damn, that is so cool....... I need a bigger house and a woodworker pronto

Is there a movie made about that Thinder guy I can watch? Should be a block buster. Explains a lot about the current state of mankind.

I got my tablet as well on my leg. I use it extensively. Calculate GS to make tot, Max trap, writing down case 3 instructions, checking the MDC, looking up the vaicom command I forgot, peeking at the parameter for the LALD release, drawing stuff on the map to get my SA up because the RIO is AWOL and so on. Worth it every penny and very immersiv.

VRK https://discord.gg/aAuY7EJH was my favorite kneeboard in VR. It had some performance problems and v started to decay due to neglect. Then came Openkneeboard around and implemented OpenXR support and I was hooked, because VRK didn't. Just recently the VRK developer came back and announced VRK 2.0 in the works. In the meantime he made the old version OpenXR compatible. So you basically got two choices. From the way things are handled I think I still prefer VRK, but OK did a extremely well job in listening to user requests as well as coming up with some great ideas. Which one it will be, I can't say yet, I need to wait for VRK 2.0, but if these two guys join forces (they started to work on problems together) , it might be the best thing since sliced bread.

Why so much negativity? A Phantard Speaks.
Lt_Jaeger replied to Aussie_Mantis's topic in DCS: F-4E Phantom
Is that beauty getting closer to release already? Made me one for the time being but that thing is way inferior. -

Lt_Jaeger replied to Aussie_Mantis's topic in DCS: F-4E Phantom
This, this and that. Yes, I will stand to my opinion, that I will be happy to get a Navy version to let her "kill me" on my trials to land her on the boat, but until then, I slap a "Richthofen" skin on the E and enjoy the memory's of my youth, seeing them thundering over my head. -
Known bug and announced internally fixed some time ago.

Announcing the F-4 Phantom for DCS World!
Lt_Jaeger replied to Cobra847's topic in DCS: F-4E Phantom
That's what they make you to believe. Clever plot, to use old planes where one will think it is just smoking to bad engines, all why they enslave you thru colored chems -

@Aussie_Mantishow comes you know what I (and maybe the rest of the forum users) want? Did I mentioned that I wait for the Navy F-4,whichever it will be. F4E will stand in for the transition from the F-14 so I hope it will be the early version.
