Eigentlich eher dafür das der Vogel überhaupt runter kommt. Die F-14 hat so viel Auftrieb das sie nicht wirklich landen will, DLC nimmt ihr diesen. Der Gleitweg sollte eigentlich nur durch den Schub "geregelt" werden. Gemäß Aussage von einem real life Piloten wird / sollte DLC nur kurz vor Aufsetzen 3 mal kurz angetippt werden. Ich gebe aber zu das ich gerne auch ein wenig damit betuppe. Habe "damals" für meine "CQ" die DLC Achse mit Tesa abgeklebt

In real life you will need a minimum of 4 complete units (make it 5 for some overlap) to cover 360. On the other hand, PATRIOT was not built to cover a the whole circle. You want to cover the main threat direction with overlaps and let other systems take care of the gaps. Oh, you will never mass the units the way you show in your picture.

It already happened and I guess I did know even before I started. I started flightsim with warbirds and never developed a huge liking for all this diddle diddle stuff in modern airplan. My current favorite and almost exclusive ride is the Tomcat and I wait hand wrenching for the Phantom. With the Apache there was this gunship 2000 / longbow nostalgic and the challenge to build something like the TEDAC controls. After the Prototyp was done, I lost interest. The hardware lies in the corner somewhere and I never came around to fix the encountered problems in my cad files. Maybe one of this days....

AI running into the ground is a thing. Tried 4 Mig21 vs 1 F-14 and ended up with 3 maneuver kills and one AIM 9. The guys were very good in defeating missiles though. 2 - 2 - 1 wasted.

Ja, in VR sieht es immer so aus als ob man durch einen Briefschlitz schaut. Das ist allerdings von Headset zu Headset unterschiedlich, daher achte ich auf das FOV vor dem kauf eines neuen Headsets (eines meiner wichtigsten Kriterien) Das Du, wie ich auch, ohne Lesebrille scharf siehst liegt daran das VR Headsets das Bild in (ich glaube) 1,5m fokussieren. Solltest Du in dieser Entfernung scharf sehen, siehst Du auch in VR scharf. Vielleicht ist Dir aufgefallen das Du Fern- und Nahsicht in VR nicht fokusieren musst, sondern immer auf einer "Entfernung" bleibst, egal wie weit das Objekt in VR auch entfernt ist. Ich hoffe mein laienhaftes gestottere macht Sinn.

I'm completely infuriated about the indexer lights going out if dimmed below a setting of 6. The Tomcat is total worthless now and nobody uses it any more in carrier ops. I wait already 2 years for a fixing. If you don't get it, I will take you on a server and show you that there are only Hornets around. Maybe I should demand money back or does early access mean that I have to suck it up and find a workaround??

2 years me and many other flying the Tomcat on- and offline and enjoying it. Make due with what you have. If you do only these, for me meaningless BFM thingy, fine -you might maybe be missing a degree or two, if you fly that thing in Missions taking like 2-3 hours, I never missed anything in the FM department.

@gitbse Did you ever tried to lower the texture setting one step and raising terrain texture the same time. For me it fixed the AH-64 performance with not too much loss of visual fidelity. I think it is worth a try.

I have no idea what you guys are talking about, the only part I get are skins. Skins - I want, gimme gimme. Most loved one is the one of what 10 made by someone in our squad, with my name on. I'm even happy for sandman simulation putting additional skins in his campaign, because it looks odd to have the exact same skin on every plane in the flight. So if the question is, are there enough, then the answer is no. Do I enjoy download huge amounts of GB during updates, nope, but only because it keeps me for quite a while from enjoying the new content. Let it rest, and ask ED to implement a "file manager" / "livery manager" of some sort.

Take a look around different fresh threads, VAICOM is dead after the 2.8 update of DCS. Currently only the removal of VAICOM and a slow repair let you get access to your com menu again.

Could you please get me the discord link. I want to monitor every source for a possible work around. The absence of VAICOM takes out every bit of enjoyment of getting into dcs for me.

Yeah, as good as that thing looks, I would love to be able to permanently hide it.

This. There is no head / cockpit shaking during taxi. Yes, the F-14 needs some throttle movement to start moving, but not as bad as described. To get in the launch shuttle needs a "little" more all right
