PSA: F-14 Performance/FM Development Status + Guided Discussion
Lt_Jaeger replied to IronMike's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
That's where I come into play, I pretend to be a pilot and "fly" that thing. Works great, give it a try. -
Anyone who wants to get rid of his Virpil WarBRD Grip, please PM.
-
Falls jemand seinen Virpil Warbirds Griff verkaufen möchte, können wir uns vielleicht einig werden.
-
I don't see ED talking it over, but would love to be proven wrong or Vaicom pick up their game again. For me losing VAICOM would be a desaster.
-
You might want to look at the rhino base. (threat is called "honey I developed a FFB Joystick" or something like that)
-
If you are in the long awaited vacation and can't wait for the moment to be back in the VR cockpit, you might be a DCS Red neck
-
I bought the F1 right away, but are away from my computer for another 3 weeks. First time in ages I'm looking forward to come back from vacation. So I not only bought the module but also 3 weeks of big fixing, maybe something happened by then, we will see
-
Ah, OK, guess I miss understood then. Sorry
-
Like I said, that has a lot to do with how you adjust the scope. I was working a long time with analoge radars and you can "base adjust" that the noise is barely visible or pretty strong. Then it makes a huge different if the transmitter is on and if, what is in front of the antenna (not talking about ground clutter but more about general "reflect-ifness (if there is such word). I would love a more true to life representation as we got until now with any" analoge" radar in the appropriate modules.
-
The noise should also a function of the video gain hopefully adjustable. I have no idea whatsoever about the Mirage, but definitely looking forward to dive into it.
-
Would this be optional? I still working to get my "muscles memory" to work on my left side panel, so that I guess my old brain would be totally overrun if I feel one thing and see a different thing. Already got enough problems on my B panel flying the A but then with stuff even switched around more.... In case of not, I guess I need to Re do my panel in a modular way then
-
But you, and the F-14, might loose me after all..... the Phantom is all day long on my mind. I'm just afraid of the pit, building stuff for that beast will be tough, the F-14 is very clean and orderly compared to that mess. On the other hand.... As long as the F4 can't land on that boaty thing, I stay the F-14 true. And afterward as well, so I guess that I mumbled utter nonsense.

OpenXR Guide - Deprecated - This time for real (▀̿Ĺ̯▀̿ ̿)
Lt_Jaeger replied to nikoel's topic in Virtual Reality
Sorry, my mobile seems to have a mind of its own. I was just referencing a multi monitor setup. For me, the Reverb inserted a multi monitor environment, which I had to do some magic to get rid of. Can't remember though what I did -

Not sure, but did you check to NOT have a multi monitor dot setup in windows. -

F14 Tomcat - Problem mit HUD Sparrow und Phönix Raketen

Du schießt auch die AIM-54 und nicht die Sparrow? Just asking. Der ACM Cover ist down? Track ist PD? Mehr fällt mir dazu gerade nicht ein. -
Sanity check - speed too low on carrier approach?!
Lt_Jaeger replied to TEMPEST.114's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
On Speed but slightly on the heavy side. If i'm not mistaken, Fuel at the ramp for that loadout should be around 4200 to hit max trap + - some give and take (still did not figured the weight system out (e.g. phoenix pallets having a weight or not, nominal and DCS empty weight etc.)). But for me as an armchair pilot and never experience any penalty for being overweight, I don't care very much about the last point, but try to be in the rough numbers of Karons old weight table (even so not a 100% correct anymore) -
Just join our Squad if you look for that kind of thing, but make sure your clock in the Tomcat works properly. There is a lot of chewing out in the old men's office if you miss breaking the deck by more then 30 sec. Good thing is, we Tomcats get normally stacked higher, due to the diddle diddle things running out of fuel all the time. That doesn't mean you can't screw it up also, like missing a interval in descending or your commence. Serious, if you like stuff like that, join a carrier based squad.... and get the GPS thingy for time keeping. God knows why that Tomcat watch is always off.

Not much to complain, this time. Again, for me playing VR, it was on the brink of getting unplayable. I was CPU bound the whole flight. Maybe again a little too much (on the environment level) going on, even so I like to see a busy Radar. I noticed you changed the AI Overloard to a different freq, which brought some serenity into the cockpit, all important calls were there, though. Only very <profanity>ty part, but in no means your fault, right as I went into the break, my stupid wingmen crashed into me, so another unsuccessful mission.

Seeing some success. Now on to the HSD, which will be kinda tricky to mount on the monstertech.
