Hi, This mod can be used together with the Kegetys mod? Or they must be used separately? Thanks!
-
Thank you for the response. So you limit the 10900K for using just 4 cores at maximum speed. I will do some testing.
-
Thanks for the info, very interesting. What is your 10900K overclock configuration?

vr Настройки Bignewy Reverb G2 для высокой частоты кадров
Nahemoth replied to BIGNEWY's topic in Virtual Reality
Yes, I know, I guess there is a global enabler for AA functions. I'm just using the PG instant mission where it is easy to notice the shimmering, this is why I'm relatively sure that MSAA is not enabled. -

I'm trying to enable AA using the base provided by Big Newey, but I don't find the correct settings in the nvidia CP. My goal is to enable MSAA and see the performance, but I don't see any difference when I enable in DCS, so it seems that I have not enabled in the nvidia settings. -
It has nothing to do with DCS, it uses just SteamVR. Anyway, both systems use similar concepts.

Horrible performance with RTX 3080 / Reverb G2 / and VR

I have similar rig specifications, so it seems that the behaviour is right... I have also followed these tips: -
Horrible performance with RTX 3080 / Reverb G2 / and VR
Nahemoth replied to rss0900's topic in Virtual Reality
Hi, Recently I have upgraded my rig with a 3090 and 10900K processor, and I'm trying to tune it. With some standard settings from different sources I have managed to get 45 FPS. But there is something confusing... At SS 100% (50% at global setting) and MSAA x4 it goes somehow well over PG. But if I increase SS to 150% and MSAA off, the performance is very bad. I didn't expect that 150% SS (over native resolution) could be a performance killer... Are you having similar experience? -

Hi, I'm trying to install CTS but I get an error related to the server unavailability. Is it my fault or is there a problem? Many thanks!- 2260 replies

Hi, For those that already have a 3090, it has been a while since the first impressions, and I assume that it is somehow consolidated the experience... I have read about really good improvements with the 3090, but does it worth the upgrade from a 2080Ti? I'm using a Reverb (the G2 is comming), and with my current setup (9700K + 2080Ti) I experience some stuttering with the detail settings not so high (MMSA off), and always bellow 45 FPS. Thanks!

Thank you for all the advices!

Hi, I'm wondering if there is a learning progress list for the F/A-18C. That is, there are several subsystems, weapons, operations, etc. It is difficult to learn all them at the same time, so one must practice step by step until you master the plane. Maybe the guide made by Chuck can be a reference, but is there any other suggestion? Many thanks!

Hi, Is there any problem with Slaw device page? I tried it but Facebook says that the contents do not exist anymore... Bye
-
I'm so sorry of reading that, but in fact it is software/configuration problem, so it must have a solution...
-
I have a similar system (9700K @ 5GHz) and it works fine.
-
No problem with them. Good luck!

I have lazy eye (right one) so unfortunately I cannot appreciate so much cross eyed vision... have you read something more about openVR settings?
-
Yes, my IPD is also 58.

After doing some setups with the reverb, I have tried again the index in order to compare them... and decide if I sell the index or not. The results has been that I cannot go back with the index, the image is quite blurry compared to the reverb... if you can, try it again... One of the good things of the index is the FOV, you lost some degrees in the reverb, at least I can appreciate it. It is pity, the index is an excellent HMD...
-
Exactly, it is what I experiment.

I also reinstalled WMR for steamvr and now it seems to work. At least in my rig I cannot see so much difference between auto and motionvector modes.
-
Yes, I did. Actually I reinstalled steamvr, because I was using beta version, and I wanted to be sure that I am using stable version.
-
I'm trying to activate motionvector mode with no success. I change the default.vrsettings file but when I fly the fpsVR shows that the FPSs are varying, so I assume that it is in auto mode. Here is the content of my file: { "driver_Holographic" : { // Increase back buffer size so that larger superscale values do not get a resolution reduction “renderTargetScale” : 2.0 }, "driver_Holographic_Experimental" : { // Motion reprojection doubles framerate through motion vector extrapolation // motionvector = force application to always run at half framerate with motion vector reprojection // auto = automatically use motion reprojection when the application can not maintain native framerate "motionReprojectionMode" : "motionvector", // Automatic motion reprojection indicator to display the mode currently selected // green = off because application can render at full framerate // light blue = on because application is cpu bound // dark blue = on because application is gpu bound // red = off because application running at less than half framerate "motionReprojectionIndicatorEnabled" : true, // Motion indicator size and position in 0-1 space "motionReprojectionIndicatorSize" : 0.015, "motionReprojectionIndicatorXPosition" : 0.3125, "motionReprojectionIndicatorYPosition" : 0.3125, // Some people may experience increased discomfort such as nausea, motion sickness, dizziness, // disorientation, headache, fatigue, or eye strain when using thumbstick controls in Windows Mixed Reality. // // Setting thumbstickControlsMoveEnabled to true may cause application compatibility issues "thumbstickControlsTurnEnabled" : false, // true = use thumbsticks for artificial turn, false = default application thumbstick behavior "thumbstickControlsMoveEnabled" : false, // true = use thumbsticks for artificial move, false = default application thumbstick behavior "thumbstickControlsReversed" : false, "thumbstickTurnSmooth" : false, "thumbstickDeadzone" : 0.25, // During some transitions (typically entering Home), controller events start accumulate and the system has difficulties to catch up // Settings a mximum age for a contoller input allows ensuring that the events queue does not grow indefinitely "obsoleteStateMaxTimeInSeconds": 1.0, // Disable DX12 support "forceDisableDX12": false }, "NoInterEyeRotation" : { "battlezone_dx11.exe" : true, "battlezone_dx12.exe" : true, "DOOMVFRx64.exe" : true, "Fallout4VR.exe" : true } }

It seems that the you can achieve good performance with higher settings, and at the same time better image quality. In any case I'm trying to compare both HMDs... What is your motionReprojectionMode setting? I have been flying with auto mode, but I noticed that the Index works much better. Tomorrow I will try the motionvector setting.
-
I have connected very quickly the reverb and comparing to the index, the image is much more cleaner. But I need time to configure everything correctly... included the IPD. Imacken, what are your SS and frequency settings? I read contradictory information, in some places say to put 200%, other says 100%...
