  1. Hi Gents, Similar multiple key press issues here and in some cases unrecognized in DCS. I'm thinking that, in some cases, it might be executing key presses so fast that the DCS is not "seeing them" happen. That's just my wild theory at the moment. I am running Windows 10 Pro. I've been tweaking the Quantize time (adding interval times of 0.10 etc) and that has been taking care of "some" of the mis-behavior. I have my X-55 (Throttle and Stick both) hooked up through a powered external USB 3.0 hub. I have most stuff working on a Su25T profile and have programmed 3 modes... I now note that my throttle will cycle through the modes but the stick only puts out Mode 1 programmed commands vice being programed differently for mode 1, 2, and 3 in the programming interface. Any ideas ?
  2. Are comm's working for ground crew. I've tried the intercom and radios. Appears only way I can currently talk to ground crew for a re-arm/refuel is to open the canopy. Appears also that hot rearm is not possible/allowable (engine must be off). BTW...I'm enjoying the bird... just posting what appear to be repeatable bugs to help development. Regards AldoUSMC
  3. +1 in single player mission. Jettison gives continuous sound loop that never stops without mission re-start.
  4. +1.. when I drop the Mk 82's I can drop all four but the right Mk 82 on each pilot looks like it is still there....trying to drop more or jettison does nothing to the graphic image of it being there... and no more bombs drop of course.
  5. I'd like to Bump this thread alive again. Now that Combined Arms is gaining use within DCS World I think many would really appreciate the LVTP-7 being able to be placed in the water...swim ashore at an appropriate speed... and drive on from there... or go "feet wet" from the shoreline to swim back out to an amphibious ship. If there's not time to do several amphib ships... just do an LHA... that will give you a flight deck for helicopters and a well deck for AAVs (LVTP-7s) and the LCACs ! Even if the Amphib ship have to come later... make the LVTP-7's able to start in the water and mission builders can "simulate" that they have already splashed and are swimming ashore with their troops on board. Thanks !
  6. How To Vikhrs Launch Guys, Having been through this here's a You-Tube How-to video I created some time ago with help from some virtual friends. Hope it helps. Multiples: Below 50m: Semper Fidelis AldoUSMC
  7. Fokker's Patent Exactly...this is an image of Fokker's actual Patent drawing for the interrupter gear he invented.

  9. SU 27 and SU 25T Illumination Tried an AI drop tonight from 23K Feet ASL....AFAC worked for both SU-25T flying at 500Kph and SU 27 flying at 600 kph but illum effects did not reach the ground. Moved the drop altitude down to 12K Feet ASL (4000m) and had effect...but would not recommend dropping above 4000m since the effects started weak and built to pretty good. Both the SU-25T and SU 27 dropped all SAB-100's in pairs and continued to re-attack just as the set just dropped were about to burn out....a little time in the dark with the SU 27 but not a signifcant amount of time...maybe 15 seconds (haven't reviewed the track to get exact time yet). Gave them plenty of room to line up the target from inbound point (IP) due to airspeed compared to the KA 50 shooting S-8OMs. I'm attaching two snapshots of the setup for each. Hope this helps...will post Youtube Video when I complete it for AI illum employment. Semper Fi AldoUSMC
  10. Fictional Aircraft Fictional Aircraft...fixed wing tilt rotor project for a movie in Los Angeles, CA Based off the MI-24 Hind
  11. AI use of SAB 100 Yes.... Set AI Aircraft mission to AFAK Set target area and set to attack a "point" Set the diameter to be within 1000m of your intended center of area to illuminate and that should give you enough illum coverage. Give your aircraft enough time to aquire the target area from the attack Inbound Point (IP) Ensure your aircraft (fixed wing) have the SAB 100 Illumination Bombs loaded Ensure your rotary wing attack aircraft have the S-08M Illumination Rockets I will post a picture later. 12. Employing Multiple Vikhrs from an SU 25T Hi All, I created a somewhat short video (under 3 minutes) on YouTube..no voice...just text and the in-sim video of how to set up and employ two Vikhrs per shot from the SU 25T. You can view the video here : I hope you find it useful. I made it in response to a question I was asked by another sim-pilot while flying on the 104th's Phoenix Squadron's Server. 13. Employing the SAB 100 Illumination Bomb Hi All, I've created two videos and posted on YouTube about the SAB 100 Illumination Bomb to help flyers understand employment and effects. I know this discussion is about AI employment and not human flyers...havent' tested it but maybe by locking the altitude for your AI aircraft and ensuring the radius of your Targeted Point is small enough you can get the aircraft to repeatedly drop within range. You can view in my videos the illuminated areas and approximate times for drops at ~ 1 km, 2 km and 3 km AGL. I've posted the links to the vids on another thread..they can be found here: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=26072&highlight=SAB+100 I plan to do a vid on AI employment of Illum but working a KA 50 vid right now...will re-post when I complete the AI Illum video. Hope you find these useful Update: Here's a screenshot (attached) of the editor with a KA 50 will S-8OM Illum rounds set to illuminate a ground target area. Target area is set to 500 meters diameter so it will fire illum rockets that burst anywhere within that radius. Note that I set AI Pilot skill (trusty Test Pilot Ivan) to "Excellent" as I didn't want to deal with AI Pilot errors due to skill level. Have not tested to see if that really makes a difference or not but just assumed it does. Semper Fidelis AldoUSMC

  19. Employment of SAB 100 Illumination Boms Hi All, I created two videos (part 1 and part 2) and posted them on YouTube to help flyers understand this munition, it's effects and the basics of employment. I used the SU 25T as the employment platform in this video. Part 1 of 2 can be viewed at: Part 2 of 2 can be viewed at: Hope you find them useful. Semper Fi AldoUSMC
  20. Illumination in BS and LOMAC FC2 Request you consider the folllowing for S-8OM rockets in BS and SAB-100's in FC2: 1) Turn collisions on for the LUU-2B dispensed flares in both. Adds realism in that a KA-50 or fixed wing aircraft can't fly right through the decending flares without potential damage to the aircraft and forces players to consider where to best place illumination in support of illumination supported attack (drop or launch altitude and position over the target). In a replay review it does appear that if a LUU-2 body impacts the fuselage of the KA-50 it dissappears (but no damage to KA-50) but they freely fall through the rotors without effect. 2) Set the LUU-2B flares to allow them to burn out on the deck (ground) if they impact/land before their burn time is up and disappear after burn time runs out. It is reasonable to set a maximum impact speed (like on eject sequence for a pilot) so if the munition is fired at the ground and the chute does not deploy it will destroy the LUU-2bs and not function (not illuminate). I would not expect, unless your research tells you otherwise...that an illum round would continue to function if it landed in a river, pond, lake, or the ocean. I get that this might be possible (staying lit in the water) since it's probably magnesium burning and that stuff does not go out easily once ignited....just saying OK by me if ED and FL decides they want them to go out. #2 above would allow players to use the illumination rounds (potentially) as illumination marks on the deck (like smoke rockets during the day) and to backlight or blind ground targets if they learn how to employ the munition correctly. Thanks for your consideration of my request. Semper Fi AldoUSMC
  21. Loadouts BlackShark and LOMAC FC2 Thanks again for these great sims...tons of great work here gents ! I ask that you consider the following improvements: Allow a mission designer (single and definitely coop/multi) to allow or lock aircaft/helo loadouts for player aircraft/helos. This would allow the designers to lock loadouts if they wanted to force players to fly with certain pre-set loadouts and if they wanted to allow players to load any allowable weapon for that type/model/series then they can do that as well. The gold standard for this option is to allow mission designers to "Lock All" "Allow All" or "Lock Individual" available player aircraft. So if a designer did not care what weapons a KA-50 or Mig-29 carries the designer can set those aircraft to "Allow All" in the mission editor while setting say, the A-10s and F-15's to a pre-set "Locked" loadout that only allows the pre-set loadouts the mission designer sets in the editor. Thanks for your consideration. Semper Fi AldoUSMC
  22. I did read your posts...thanks to all for straightening me out back in April 09. Semper Fi AldoUSMC
  23. S-80M illum and SAB 100 Illum in BS and FC2 Illumination works great in both Blackshark S-80M and LOMAC FC2 via SAB-100 Illumination bombs (rear ejecting case with 7 LUU-2B parachute flares). As a realism enhancement I would love to see an Eagle Dynamics Patch including (wish list) collisions turned on for the LUU-2B illumination shells and the rocket casing in FC2 and the S-80M carried by helicopters. Right now I can hover a KA-50 or fly a plane through the LUU-2Bs with no negative impacts to my aircraft. Second request I more important even is to allow the rounds to be fired on the deck (ground) for night marking of a point target. It is reasonable that if fired too close to the ground even the first LUU-2B would not be rear-ejected from the illumation bomb or an illumination rocket would be crushed before it lit off. In the case of the Illumination bomb I think it would be realistic if the falling LUU-2B hits the deck before the planned burn-out it burns out on the deck (ground) for how ever long the flare was supposed to burn. It would be acceptable if a water impact (river/lake/ocean) put out the flare. Semper Fi AldoUSMC
