Just reading up on that; if there is NO target selected from TPOD (i.e. no TDC depress) then it will Mark YOUR location. If you have a target designated on the TPOD then pressing it will mark the TPOD spot.

Multiplayer Case 3 recoveries: utterly broken?
LTRMcrew replied to TEMPEST.114's topic in DCS: Supercarrier
We've had the issue with our squadron returning from mission. It seems if you are close to another aircraft (I don't know how close) it will check in with "401 checking in, holding hands with 404, 406" meaning you are in a flight together. It seems it knows who has the least fuel and that person will be listed as "checking in" regardless of who does so. Now, it will also stack continuously and doesn't reset down once it's clear i.e. marshall at angels 3, then 4, then 5, then 6, etc and never get a lower one. It does seem not broken... but unfinished. -
Hmm interesting. Do you recall what driver you used?
-
Isn't that saitek software though in your pic? or did that come with the driver? I'm not sure if i have actual drivers for mine TBH. I'll try that next.
-
The real problem is... as we can launch at 20 miles... the tomcat launches those bloody phoenix's at 30+ miles and we can't do anything but evade the missile.
-
What on earth did you do to get that to work?? I've downloaded the profile software and it shows in there as mouse... but dcs just doesn't seem to recognize it. :joystick::helpsmilie:
-
That's a shame really, would've been nice to use that as the mouse. The x65f is very "loose" or as you put it "spongy", "light" on the touch so would be difficult. Thanks for feedback though.
-
Hi, Crash logs attached PGAW mid flight angels 30 not much around me. Logs.zip

Hey All, With the Saitek x65f has anyone gotten the "mouse stick" to move the mouse cursor? I don't see that option anywhere...:book: Thanks for the help. :helpsmilie:

Hi, latest OB patch the refuel probe light is "on" when seeing in external view (can see the light bulb on near bottom of the probe arm); however, it does not light up the drogue basket on the KC-135 MPRS. Tried cycling the external lights on and off has no effect. Was a cold start with autostart.
-
I did a cold start with hornet (auto start however due to the INS "features"); and the light I could see in external view, however, it didn't light up the basket on the 135 mprs. So it's there, it just doesn't affect the basket. Made it very difficult to refuel at night as in NVG's the tanker nav lights are BLOOMING.
-
technically you can use the elevator... well more hitch a ride on it; using ex81 comment above if you "happen" to be on the elevator when the AI taxi onto it and goes down... you will also go down. I don't remember which side the AI goes onto though as I've only seen it go down once but it is possible.

Are there additional folders to delete other than FXO and metashaders2 from the saved games folder?
-
It's annoying but what you can do is hand off, it'll single that one out, if it's not the one you want, step to the next one, hand off, etc etc. a bit clunky but it works. Doing this while the SA10 missile is tracking you makes for some tense moments though!
-
The hornet seat moves up and down; there's a little toggle switch beside the left side of seat. Also the other handle/switch there is to lock your harness down, so for launch of carrier etc you want it tighter.
-
Thanks @Tholozor for confirming my hunch, I'm looking forward to this working properly!
-
It's like #PatchEve ! But yes looking forward to a SOLID patch rather than rushed out mess... and not burnt as bart states LOL

i have a feeling most people, myself included, are setting the targets correctly, with the step and move to too2 then undesignating at end without going back to a previously designated bomb... BUT when dropping not selecting too2. I just realized this while reading the post. I'm assuming what's happening is we're dropping all the bombs on TOO1 targets so they are duplicating instead of dropping first set on TOO1 and then selecting TOO2 for the second set. Correctly if i'm wrong because I've still not got this locked down to working. The other issue (and may be correct or to be corrected by ED if it's a bug) but JDAM's are not super accurate at the moment. This may be more in tune with true to life stats of JDAM's hence they almost always use LGB now.
-
I've still been able to use the following via the jdam MSN page: 1. TDC on first target 2. Press TOO 2 (this is if you are carrying 2x bomb per station; else you can just step) 3. TDC designate 4. Step to next station (ensure TOO1 is boxed) TDC designate 5. box TOO 2 6. TDC designate 7. undesignated Now you can flip through the bomb stations and see they all have different coord. The dumb thing is the TPOD will now have gone snowplow because you undesignated. Also, YMV as the JDAM accuracy isn't great. I've not had 4 out of 4 bomb drops, even though I confirmed each bomb station had a diff coord; this might just be normal JDAM accuracies though.

Another thread has stated that the tpod is starting stby mode rather than off when spawning (i'm not sure if this relates to hot or cold start). If that is the case VVSLV will never show up... UNTIL you flip flir to off first and then back to stby or on it should show. Not realistic but it's there for now. Until maybe Jun 3 hopefully.

it does for me... yet another annoying thing to tweak before flight now. Is there a LUA we can adjust like the counter measures for this?

I think just open communication which is what Kate was eluding to would be great. Such as "there's holiday this week in Russia so there won't be a patch this week" thanks. That way people aren't speculating, as they are, about if or when the next patch will be. At least they won't expect it this week. I'm ok waiting for a solid patch with additional testing. I'm not tired of waiting for a patch... i'm tired of hearing about the impatient people waiting! haha People are going to complain doesn't matter what you do, but you could stem the flow somewhat by saying no patch, or maybe a patch end of week but don't hold your breath, or we're expecting a patch Friday, then when Friday rolls around, make a call early "additional changes required, no patch today, shooting for next Wednesday now". my thoughts.

Hi Bignewy, it was a client crash to desktop. I went back into the server and it was still going. My client crashed to desktop after about 30mins of flying twice within maybe 45mins before staying stable.

Game crashing tonight on 4YA Server using stable. log attached... I hope it's the right one. dcs.zip

Hi All, I fly hornet for context. What is required (if it's even possible) to disable an enemy farp from rearming/ spawning heli's? I'm assuming I can't stop helicopters from spawning without a ground unit to capture the farp (also how to capture a farp?) Other than the sam site/defensive position to blow up. Does it help to blow up the standard spawn items such as the couple camo tent (ammo?) units. The barrels compound (fuel?). The big green tent. And then there's usually a concrete walled structure nearby, 1-2 story. Also, often there are the (command post?) buried bunker type thing; which requires the bigger bombs to penetrate? Are all these required to be destroyed to stop enemy heli's from arming there? What munitions are able to destroy them? seems rockets don't really blow them up, even though you'd think placing some rockets into an ammo dump or fuel dump would do the trick... Thanks! :joystick:
