Confirmed is, that tomorrow we´ll get the training videos. Nothing more! But I hope for some bugfixes as well.

I´m so curious on what we get on Wednesday. The training videos, but I hope for some more bugfixes for the IR Mavs.

Reading today´s update news, no update news about the hornet! I think there will be no Hornet update coming Wednesday, except the training videos. Really disappointing!

Hmmm…da tut sich nichts wenn ich "C" für Arretieren (ist ja auch als Standard im Steuerungsmenü vorgegeben) drücke. Wie gesagt "SHOOT" kriege ich erst in ca. 2.5 nm Reichweite, dann kommt auch dieser durchgängige Piepton.

Nee, leider nicht! Bei normaler Radaraufschaltung wie halt bei der AMRAAM auch, bekomm ich die "SHOOT" Meldung erst bei ca. 2,5 nm Entfernung, egal, ob ich "C" für uncage gedrückt halte oder nicht. Normalerweise kann ich doch mit der AIM-9X, ich meine 8 bis 10 nm, weit treffen.

Hoffentlich kommt vorher noch ein Update! Mit der AIM-9X kriegt bei Radaraufschaltung oft keinen Lock und sie fliegt wie eine ungelenkte Rakete. Außerdem ist die Zielaufschaltung der IR Mavericks total verbuggt. In den Videos von Matt Wagner sieht das alles so schön aus, aber wenn dann das Update kommt, hat man den Eindruck, Wags hat eine andere Version.

Nevertheless, the AIM9X and AGM-65 are totally buggy. Hope for a hotfix on wednesday, but I don´t think so.

Is there a chance to get the FLIR display colored instead of monochrome green?

About one year ago there was a small mod making the SHKVAL on the SU-27T and KA-50 colorful. This mod doesn´t work with the actual DCS Version. Is there any Chance to get this little tweak back for the SHKVAL or FLIR? Vehicles are really hard to reckognize with the (too much) green monochrome displays.

A targeting pod would be helpful to select targets with the IR Mavericks. The FLIR screen offers not much zoom. Do we get the targeting pot on Wednesday?

Yes IR Mavs and AGM-88! Maybe Novermber 21st? Would be a great update.

This JTAC lasing procedure for destroying one single tank!! Hope we´ll get the targeting pod in near time!

Not sure that our Hornet will get the Mavs tomorrow! Nothing mentioned by Wags about the last days, no explaining video about! I think at least the laser-guided Mavericks would absolutely be worth a video about before releasing! So I´m very skeptical that we´ll be able to fire Mavs from the Hornet before Wags present them in a video description.

I don´t think of any guided A/G weapon to be released on Wednesday. Can´t comprehend, why it takes so much time to implement a targeting pod or DMT and Mavericks. The Hornet absolutely needs A/G weapons in near time.

Ich meine unten dieser Schalter "zwischen den Beinen" des Piloten. Den kann man auf drei verschiedene Positionen stellen. Musste mal probieren. Bei mir funktionierten die automatischen Chaffs und Flares dann.

Yes, much too short. I get the SHOOT flashing at about 18 miles.

I always fire as soon as 'Shoot' is flashing. As I said, the AIM-7 works fine against big slowly flying targets, but you nearly don´t have any chance against enemy fighters with R-77 or R-73 missiles. The Sparrow also is simply is too slow for chasing enemy fighters who fly away from you!

Yes! You need much luck to destroy a target with an AIM-7. For me, I often could watch my AIM-7 hitting a target, explode, but it did no damage to the enemy! The AIM-7 is good against slowly moving big aircraft, but it´s nearly impossible to shoot down a MiG or even an SU-27! It´s really time to get AMRAAMs for the Hornet!

Is there a time frame, in which we can expect AMRAAMs or guided Missiles?

Yes, absolutely! The Sparrow is successfull against less maneuverable aircraft like the IL-76, but it´s nearly impossible to destroy a MiG that easily can outmaneuver the Sparrow. So I really hope for the AMRAAMs to be implemented soon!

Hope we´ll get the AMRAAMs soon and at least one type of guided A/G missiles.

What HOTAS key do you press to lock the target on A/A mode with Sparrows?

Yes, that was it! As far as I know it wasn´t neccessary to select A/G mode before the update.
