  1. If it’s a new behavior since a patch there’s always the possibility it’s a bug. Should save a quick track and post it for them to double check
  2. I admit I don’t understand what you’re talking about with TLE or INU drift in the Apache, but the video and track I provided were from a single player instant action mission where i took off into a hover and began the test. I don’t think drifting gps over time plays into that? But to be fair I have no idea what plays into this, or if it’s even a bug lol. They’re investigating so I’m good with that
  3. Low Level Hell Pub Server 2 - Slow and Ladon in a two-ship support an infantry assault of enemy held town.
  4. Where should I look for custom skins for this awesome mod? User files section?
  5. Coding software is beyond me but a thought came to mind: if the laser is using a coordinate system to save target points, is it possible the laser or slave mechanic is not using the magnetic variance?
  6. Track and video example of offset when slaving to target point. ah64testingtargetpoints.trk
  7. I’ve noticed this as well when playing as CPG. Not sure if bug. I think one of us is going to need to upload a track though for them to investigate
  8. Oh I didn’t know that. I don’t remember what my settings for that are, better double check. Thanks
  9. Move crosshair to your target and press LMC once and don’t touch joystick. It’ll stabilize the sight to that point. LMC moves with acceleration commands though so I’m not sure yet if you can adjust LMC and bring it back to zero movement, so the fix for that is deactivate LMC - adjust aim - reactivate LMC
  10. Yes that makes sense. Everything is a tool to get you through various scenarios
  11. I know. It does both. If you want it fixed you turn it on and don’t command movement. If you want to adjust I think in the future it’ll have better finesse controls but for now command it to have very slight acceleration, or simply deactivate the LMC and reorient tads then reactivate LMC. Takes a second or two
  12. If you turn it on and don’t touch the joystick, it ground stabilizes like you would experience from a tgp on a jet. You can see it stabilize in the hellfire video above. Here’s an example of LMC on moving targets starting around 1:10. Our aircraft is in motion. You can see my crosshairs moving a bunch to keep aim on convoy, then I activate LMC and give it a slight bit of acceleration in direction of convoy and it follows the vehicles as we shoot (and miss ) https://youtu.be/lQ7yGPA5dxQ
  13. Brad (Apache pilot) mentioned he doesn’t like IAT as it causes issues that could lead to friendly fire. His example was you IAT a target, fire at it, and when the ordinance hits target the IAT picks up the flash and sends tads flying off into wild directions. Edit: my point being that you may not want to expect to be relying on this system when it comes out. Try getting comfortable with tads and LMC as they are now Your issue seems to be less about LMC and more about either getting your pilot to fly at better angles, or you as the CPG need to zoom out a bit so it’s easier to control tads and put the crosshair on target then press LMC and take finger off joystick so LMC doesn’t move off your target
  14. Here. At 1:15 I use LMC for its other purpose, tracking moving targets. You can see the difference in the crosshair: it goes from constant minute corrections due to aircraft movement, to holding stable when LMC is activated. Either user error or no target state estimator caused us to barely miss this coop shot. https://youtu.be/lQ7yGPA5dxQ
  15. LMC without joystick command holds crosshairs in place. Once LMC is activated I’m hands off. Provides much more aiming stability while aircraft is in motion. Without LMC you’re having to constantly correct your aim with the joystick.
  16. It’s still usable and fun. In multicrew last night we were going slow about 30kn in an orbit around a town about 2500 meters away. I was hitting enemy infantry in the streets and alleyways between two story buildings. Just so long as the airspeed was low and the angle wasn’t too bad. And I had to use more ammo. Worked though
  17. Image auto track isn’t implemented yet. Ground stabilized is achieved with LMC and zero joystick input.
  18. You need to select DIR and then the desired waypoint twice. There will be a box around the waypoint. The deactivate RTE menu. Should show up as your direct to now
  19. It’s not a “locking” system. It doesn’t lock. It was explained like this to me: Tads normal movement is you command the sensor to move to a specific physical angle and stay there. When the aircraft is moving obviously the picture you see will be moving because the tads is holding the angle you command with every joystick movement. With LMC you are commanding tads to use acceleration to maintain sight picture. When you press LMC once to activate and don’t move joystick, you are commanding zero acceleration so what happens is the crosshairs maintain their aim despite aircraft movement. If you command movement on tads while in LMC it’ll maintain the level of acceleration you gave it. This is useful for having stability while following moving targets. To bring LMC back to zero acceleration you either finesse it (not sure if possible yet in dcs) or deactivate and reactivate Also, the Apache has a contrast lock called Image Auto Tracker. I read pilot opinion that this isn’t the best system in real life but we’ll see how it works in game. It’s not implemented yet.
  20. I spoke with a pilot about LMC. It seems to mostly work as intended. So what you do is find a spot you want to hold your tads crosshairs on and press LMC once and don’t touch the joysticks. This will hold tads completely stable on target while thhe aircraft moves. if you need to readjust your aim you can either try to finesse tads by doing incremental moves and counter moves, or you can disable LMC, quickly readjust your aim, and then reactivate LMC. You can see what I mean here: LMC can also be used to hold your aim on a moving target like a convoy by giving it a very slight press in the direction of the target movement. But to reset the LMC movement just deactivate and reactivate
