  1. I keep checking bug reports section and it seems new reports have slowed quite a bit. I don’t have a good reference point but to me it just seems like really impressive EA work. Good job.
  2. Though I believe I understand what you’re saying, i don’t think it’s an accurate answer. im watching the real life Apache vid on a 2D monitor as well. I’m not in vr or actually in that cockpit. So I’m viewing the real life vid in the same way I’m viewing the dcs gameplay. Yet dcs peripheral movement seems slower to me. Maybe I’ll figure out how to cut a vid and do a side by side and if it still looks different to me I’ll post it to see what others think
  3. I’ve never seen this thread before and I was curious. But thanks Huh. Well that’s cool. It still seems to me though that the peripheral movement in DCS is slower.
  4. Yep, really appreciate the SMEs donating their time and knowledge. Thanks.
  5. Neither myself nor the actual SME are suggesting a “solution” to crabbing. Simply that the crabbing on the DCS Apache is possibly excessive (and I’m not trying to speak on his behalf. Read his post).
  6. I wasn’t accurate in how I described my process. It was indeed through the WPN page. R5 or whatever to select ACQ, then selecting T point from there
  7. But does it have to be set by CAQ? I stored a target point and set it as ACQ in tads prior to firing the hellfire. Isn’t this the same thing just a different method?
  8. I tried a LOAL Hi shot last night in multicrew, lazed and stored. Set ACQ to the Target. Fired and missile went high like it should. I lazed it and got a return on the code, but it landed way behind target. I think this has already been addressed in bugs section though regarding desync and laser issues
  9. No track yet but here’s brad’s opinion on the matter. I also quoted his post in the bug reports section under a similar post about crabbing. https://forum.dcs.world/topic/296438-advice-on-aerodynamic-trim/?do=findComment&comment=4924727
  10. It seems random, I can’t figure why it’s happening. But sometimes when I start DCS world the keybind I have for my Xbox controller for modifier , LB, just isn’t there. It doesn’t happen every time either. Sometimes I start the game and the keybind for LB is there. Also all of the keybinds that use LB as a modifier are still saved so all I have to do is add the modifier back in and everything works. Just a minor inconvenience but still. Anyone else getting this?
  11. I assume this is the same issue, wanted to re-post Brad’s comment, in case it was missed, about the crabbing being about double what it should be.
  12. Might want to copy this post to the bug report section since a mod hasn’t commented yet. Dunno if they are investigating it or not?
  13. This may or may not be related, but during take off it seems strange to me that the Torque% won’t hold, meaning as I add a little bit of collective the % will hit say 10% then drop to 5%; then I add some more and it goes to 25% and then drops back to 10%. Etc. This repeats until I hit like 45% and it drops to around 35 ish when I lift off
  14. Brad just made a separate post with his trim instructions. Pretty much resolves it
  15. Thanks for the info. Hopefully they adjust this soon.
  16. Bit of a tangent but my buddy said to try flying with no trim and after messing around doing noe stuff it’s probably better to simply fly using zero trim right now until the rest of the hold modes get implemented.
  17. I don't know how the stabilator interacts with the real aircraft or how it's modeled in DCS, but if you're flying NOE and go up over a hill then nose down to follow the contour of the hill your aircraft will roll out of control. That's some pretty basic maneuvering. Thanks for the heads up. *Mods please merge my report with the linked post, or lock/delete this one. It was already reported today. Sorry for the double-post and thank you*
  18. Link to track: https://drive.protonmail.com/urls/9Y67RN8N6G#ZzO4Ymf70pQ8 Thank you
  19. I’m trying to quote the edits you made to my scenarios but I don’t know how lol. You mentioned “one press would do” but if we’re talking about the same trim reset, then it would actually hurt you more than help. If you’re coming in to land and you press trim reset to return to digital center, the jolt of this level of controls movement from forward flight trim will be worse for your ability to control the aircraft than doing minute trimming changes. If you’ve mistrimmed at high speed and you press trim reset your aircraft will nose up to the moon. My assumption seems to be correct then based on your responses that you want a trim reset in situations where it would be better to just keep flying the aircraft and trimming naturally. This isn’t to say Ed shouldn’t make more controls (they have a game mode too for accessibility) but I think several of you could do with some trimming practice and you’d be good to go.
