I was partial to AMD for many years until intel Core 2 duo arrived on the scene.. I'm now flying a e6600, and I recommend it highly.. As far as Quad core well I'm thinking that this is not necessary for playing Lock On .... And of course you've really got to get away from AGP and get PCI express.. ~S~ Blaze

That pretty much sums it up for me as I have a DX10 card, I'm most interested in what this will look like on my gaming rig and I think Cyrus will most likely be the game of the year when its released... but I'm a little apprehensive in installing it on this one because of the driver issue .... But I'm sure gong to install it on my 2 year old system... It sounds like a potentially great operating system for business at this point.. And should get even better as the year progresses... ~S~ Blaze

That's very true, The amount of thermal paste that's needed for a CPU is actually about what a grain of rice looks like... For a GPU about 1/2 this amount is all you'll really need, as the chip is a lot smaller... ~S~ Blaze

I've removed the heat sink on a 6600gt, it wasn't too difficult, It's applied with thermal paste just like a CPU, so I'm guessing there really isn't that much of a difference with ATI in this respect... ~S~ Blaze

I personally like my Cougar.. Its 4 yrs., and I've just installed IJ's NXT mod last year.. This is one of the best investments for my flight sim hobby.. I've also add Hall sensors to my throttle as well ... And of course I have a TIR4 as well as simped rudder pedals.. This gives me a very realistic flight.. ~S~ Blaze

I concur... Russia at this point in time is actually becoming a very rich country.. And the reason this is happening is because of Her huge quantities of oil resources and Her extensive spiderweb of pipelines.. So it just stands to reason that a build up the military is needed to protect these assets... ~S~ Blaze

This looks like that sim community that was posed about 2 or 3 weeks ago, on youtube.... Those are some nice cockpits... I can see some really nice detail .. Mac is a very expensive system.. And yes you can run Lock On on it... But not with the Mac O/S... You can install Vista and run Lock On with that on a dual boot... The problem with this is you really have to know what you're doing as Vista is a new system and you'll have to search for drivers that are compatible.. I'm somewhat impressed with Mac these days its gotten a lot better then it was.. But honestly... I personally wouldn't buy one, at least not for now... ~S~ Blaze
