  1. That was fast ... Thanks Matt  ~S~ Blaze
  2. It doesn't seem to be working there guy????
  3. Try this on for size, But if you have the 2.5 patch that's all that I think exists ... http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums?a=search&reqWords=flanker+2.5+patch&use_forum_scope=on&forum_scope=73610606 Also you can scan through this site, its in French but you can most likely get the idea... theres a lot of mods for this... http://www.checksix-fr.com/ or you can get the final patch here... http://www.3dgamers.com/games/su27flanker20/#filelist or http://www.3dgamers.com/dlselect/games/su27flanker20/flankerv2.51patch.zip.html ~S~ Blaze
  4. 3D preview of the new stick: We plan to do a small presentation of this project at the upcoming Lowland Tiger Meet in Ahaus, where we will also be demonstrating prototypes of some parts we've already made. Joe; Very nice detail there guy ... It would be interesting to see some detail (if available) on how you put together the gages, panel and buttons... Also the controller looks very interesting as well.. I'm sure that your aware that the Cougar has a removable handle.. I would really find your idea even more desirable if I could screw a handle like you proposed onto my existing modded Cougar... Keep us informed regarding your progress, this is one of the best modern pits that I've seen, and I think its the first Russian pit that's actually going somewhere !!! ~S~ William
  5. Oh Oh.. Here we go again... :music_whistling:
  6. The sight looks better then ever and there's a ton of valuable info there .. The community will definitely benefit from your welcome return ..... ~S~ Blaze
  7. I very seldom fly on line.. I personally don't like joining a squadron and having to deal with all of those commitments.. And to actually go on line by myself is shear suicide.. And of course there's the air quake issue.. No offence Guy's..... :D ~S~ Blaze
  8. I'm not really that familar with ATI.. I've been useing nvidia, but I know that there's a program called R.I.P. that I use to delete any artifacts that are left over from a previuosly installed driver... You might want to check out this site ... http://guru3d.com/ ~S~ Blaze
  9. I'm useing a Samsung 32" LCD tv/monitor and the only available settings are 1024 X 768 .... Its a puzzle why you're FPS is lower then mine.. And I have the water detail set to the highest level and I'm not experienceing C/L/C bug either ?? ~S~ Blaze
  10. Ok I'm running a 2 Core Duo e6600.. I'm still working on the O/C but haven't done it yet ... But it runs rather nicely without overclocking anyway.... ~S~ Blaze
  11. Well I had some anomaly's and FPS issues when first installing this card.. n I've downloaded Nvidia's NTune and apparently it solved my problems.. But actually it wasn't that bad to begin with.. Lockon is now like a new game to me.. And I'm now able finally to turn off the label's and can see the other aircraft very clearly... It's a whole new level of realism... ~S~ Blaze
  12. If your going with an Evenstrain you'll have a long wait I'm afraid... This has been discontinued .. But if I remember correctly, isn't there a similar mod that's produced in France ??? The Force Feed Back is actually the most correct mod version as it replicates Fly By Wire ... I personally have the NXT, which is very expensive as well ... ~S~ Blaze
  13. No Dual Core is relatively new, and since Lock On was developed in the earlier part of this decade wasn't written in Dual Core... as a matter of fact I don't think that there is anything that is Dual Core as of yet... But yes Lock On runs very nicely with this type of processor at present.. And rumor has it that Ed is actually looking into writing code for a Dual Core in the future.. So it just stands to reason that its a good investment to go in this direction.. ~S~ Blaze
  14. Ok Oleg : Check the PM ..... Blaze
  15. Please check your PM... could someone From ED please get in touch with Oleg !!! Thank's Blaze
  16. I personally would only buy from Newegg if I couldn't get parts from somewhere else... They tend to be more expensive there. Use biz rate or another on line comparison shopping service ... I bought my Asus Commando from them (Newegg) and paid about 100.00 more then I should have ... I had returned a Asus P5B32E SLI to Mwave.. This was about 2 weeks ago and at the time all of the asus MoBo's were sold out... I had been waiting about a week for a replacement and the Commando had just been released so I jumped at it.. Actually though I was really looking for the Asus Striker which was also not available at that point... Anyway I always use Asus motherboards, but there seems to be a lot of difficulty (besides 4 GiGs of ram) to get the 680i chip set to function properly, I mean that you really have to have a good working knowledge of computers to deal with these issues... As far as a power supply, I'm not sure what your running now, but I would recommend a MoBo thats capable of running SLI, just in case you want to go there in the future... I would recommend that you get a good quality PS such as Antec with about 650 W... ~S~ Blaze
  17. Hi: Well first off there's a reason for building your own PC, it usually to customize the PC to fit your needs.. Now this isn't actually going to help you economize the build, as once you start to compile the parts that you'll need you'll most likely will wind up spending more... As far as EIDE you can still use these, there's an adapter that's available... If your going to use your PC for gaming I also recommend that you DYI and stay away from Dell.. The specs that you listed above are fine with one exception, 4 GIGs of memory is very difficult to get to function properly even for Guy's that have a high level of computer knowledge... ~S~ Blaze
  18. I've had these for about a year... They er just as good now as day 1, as they're made out of high tech plastic and don't wear... There's also a model available that has metal toe brakes.. ~S~ Blaze
  19. I've actually posted this at a different location on the forum... But since this post is right-out there I'll make a few comments of my own.. I've actually contemplated the issue of installing a new operating system, and have concluded that its most likely better to wait until the smoke clears before taking action.. So for those of you that don't know already I've just completed building my new system.. I waited until it was time for Vista to be released and bought Windows XP Pro SP2 and Pro 64 which I've installed on 2 of my computers... The 32 bit is of course was for my gaming computer (64 bit drivers aren't that compatible with gaming software so I felt it wasn't worth the hassle)... Now both copies of XP are OEM and are eligible for the Vista upgrade.. I had read last month that it was going to cost 20.00 USD for shipping and handling to send out the upgrade, but 2 weeks ago when I did the electronic transfer for shipping it only cost 10.00 USD each... Microsoft said that they would be shipped about 2 weeks after availability.. But when the disks arrive I'm still going to hold off installation until I'm sure that I'll have a stable O/S.... It sounds to me like there needs to be a lot of fast stepping now to get this bear to work .... :smilewink: ~S~ Blaze
  20. I just heard that Microsoft only expects that 12 % of the worlds computers will have Vista installed within a year, so the bottom line is you've got time.. I have Windows XP Pro OEM and Windows XP Pro 64 OEM both with the upgrade, so I ordered the Vista upgrade last week ... Originally I had read on the Microsoft web sight that it would cost you $20.00 S/H.. But they're only charging $10.00 which is very surprising... I'm not going to install Vista as of yet but I will when I hear that DX10 is available... The Ultimate package is actually the one that has a specific game level included, I was wondering if this means that DX10 is available with that level of Vista? The Ultimate is selling for around $200.00... I think I'm going to hold off anyway, the price for this just might come down... ~S~ Blaze
  21. I have everything cranked up with these screen shots.. Lock On is very playable even though the FPS are low here, and of course the FPS goes up after take off to the high teens to mid to low 20's and higher.. But you have to admit that the F-15 looks extremely good with the smooth cockpit frame mod... And the screenies have lost little bit of their clarity because of lag in the web sight and I'm also sure that you're going to loose more of the detail if your viewing it on a low end system... ~S~ Blaze
  22. Phil in case you still need them here's 2 from my rig which has a 8800 GTS I hope that these help you with your decision ~S~ Blaze
  23. I've just recently started to get back to flying Lock On, well since I've just finished building my new rig.. But as always its just in prebuilt missions, I've really become disenchanted with on line play since the old IL2 days with all of the slander that went down at that time..:glare: But for now I've really gotten to see a lot of new graphics since I started back up with Lock On last week....And I've found that the controls have gotten a lot more responsive as well, it's almost like an entirely new sim.. The same goes for IL2, but for FSX in some cases I still have to lower the settings just a little, its mainly with the jets that I have trouble.. But again its still a lot better now with the new build... That is actually one off the main reasons for the upgrade, FSX use to stutter a lot and hang, it was a real horror show... One thing though the graphics in FSX really aren't that good in the 3d pit.. and some of the ground textures look like they need more attention, but maybe with the release of DX10 this all will fall into place.. I have a BFG 8800 which is supposed to be compatible.. Anyway I'm going back to another F-15 mission... :bye_2: ~S~ Blaze
  24. I managed to get the ASUS auto download function to work and updated the BIOS for my Commando MoBo.. I opened the the PC probe to check the state of the PC.. when the probe opened I began getting a zone alert Klaxon with some flashing red lights.. It seems that DDRII was exceeding their thresholds, the reading is DDRII 2.14 V and DDRII 1.07 V .. I then moved the threshold up to 14% from 10%. This seemed to solve the problem, but I'm now concerned about the reasons behind these alarms.. Should I try to lower the voltage if possible or is the present readings because of the change in the BIOS and should be left as is ??? ~S~ Blaze
  25. Well I finished it and its almost ready to do some mean Over Clocking, and it has a lot of style as well ... Next I'm going to wrap the wires and make everthing a lot neater and I'm now ready for Vista and BS.... ~S~ Blaze
