From a purely economic standpoint, and of course acknowledging the rivet counting contingent, having naval variant seems like it would garner more sales as it can always be used on a landing strip but not the other way around. That said, I really don’t see why they are playing the “you guess “ game other than they have no firm plan in place at all and are buying time. Agreed and point taken. I’m referring to things like I will be flying along and out of the “corner “ of my eyes I see contrails. Now if I turn my head and look directly at them, they are nowhere to be found. Look away and they are in the corner of my vision again. Same thing with ships. Fly up the coast and see a ship to the right. Turn to look and its not there. I believe that is the behavior folks are referring to, not what you are suggesting. Have a great day!

This comes up every now and again and this is a Common response from the DCS fanboy talking points. I have Never flown a fighter but certainly I’m not dumb enough to believe that real pilots can see far away, and close up, but in between things disappear??? Just ignore him. A fix would be nice!!!!

I seem to remember being in a server a while back where you could load as many Phoenix missiles as she would hold even though the “rules”said only so many of a certain type. As soon as you got off the ground and away from the airport the plane went into a death spiral. Can’t this logic be applied to the aforementioned problem?

I’m having a situation with the F-14, MP and Caucuses on OB where I look at F10 map and when I go back, stuttering to point of non functional with massive spike in the Ram usage and only way to clear is completely shutting down DCS and my Index. Can’t bring anything new data wise to the table but looking for any similar experience for others before I randomly dissect things on this end.

I cranked the “sharpness” up to 2.25 holy cow ! It’s like a brand new game! a tad of shimmer but I can easily ignore. Question, I hit the return to default button by error and all 3 of the color settings went to 1.00. Im not 100% but don’t believe they came that way when I first downloaded. Anyone have color settings they like? thanks

Installed Reshade vr yesterday. It’s like removing the Vaseline vision from my Index lenses and does not appear to slow things up at all. nice tip, thanks!!!!

I don’t recall anyone saying Top gun was the definitive film about training. About as realistic as Backdraft or Space Jam....

Is this (Reshade VR) the same as the shaders mod that is so popular? if not, can you post a link to the most current version? That has always been an issue. I feel like I am always looking for that fine focus knob. Close but just not there. A bit more crispness may bring this back to enjoyable. Thanks

So the shaders mod and re shade vr are different programs? where do I find the most up to date Re shade VR? Search turns up way to many posts for a rookie like me to add mods. Thanks

Interesting. “Out of the box” I assigned my flaps on F-14 to lever and it moves exactly as I adjust it. V3 of the virpil throttle

Probably. And not at all slamming the developers. I got sucked in because of the allure of the VR experience. Otherwise to me it was a flight sim, complex for sure and cool, but the “being there” of VR sucked me in big time. One of my original posts way back was “really want to try VR and DCS for the first time, but it seems like you need to be a programmer and spend all day troubleshooting and adjusting based on what I am reading”. Well despite all the assurances, all I do is download and adjust. and unless I want a blurry mess I get an inconsistent product that continues to tease. Either a beautiful experience while going through the laborious process of start up, load out, plan, configure then just when the bandit is in sight .S-L-I-D-E-S-H-O-W...... or the alternative is a blurry set up and configure off to do battle in a world that looks like I am flying a tequila bottle. It’s not VR ready. Looks awesome and works great in 2D so props big time but then its just a flight sim in my eyes. My choice, my consequences I know but it sure would be nice if they put some priority on getting whats here VR capable (if it even can be done). Have a great weekend!

Does it require any pre existing chopper or will it function as a stand alone? Have been thinking of trying choppers

I believe it’s all about the vRam. 3080 would be a pass for me.
