Funny, someone asking for a little less arcade looking “pop up” and answered by a bunch of desktop pilots explaining how the real one works which wile I understand makes you feel like you are participating , has no bearing on the original posters request. I think it looks cheesy as well and would like to see a better representation if at all possible.

Since the latest series of updates, going back I believe to the big upgrade with lighting effects ect I can maintain smooth stutter free (caveat is first and second sorties only before I need to exit and reenter DCD) but only because I finally dialed back my SS and PD to a point where I’m disenchanted with the visuals again. I can get a beautiful clear picture, but way too many hops stuttters and smears. Quite frankly I’m torn between going after a 3090 when available or just plain giving up. What I find equally if not more frustrating is that I search and find maybe a handful of servers with more than 15 players so I end up floating along alone for an hour before I get bored and Log out. Obviously I should probably join a squad but I’m not in a position to participate regularly. All my issues I know but 15000 posts a day and 15 flyers. Maybe I’m missing servers??? Regards

Would be cool if when you pulled g it would inflate and squeeze you. That and a good tilt in vr would really emulate motion. Of course you would look silly as hell but we are already grown men in pretend worlds so.....

Until they build the F16, A10 or F22 with a Thrustmaster Warthog hotas from the factory and deploy it with the armed forces your argument is stupid. That said, I have no problem if they Add some way to give you the choice to do it whole hog if you choose. Why is it so hard for You to allow others to have their fun their way? On day one, I downloaded the F-14, read a few posts, watched a few videos and successfully launched from an aircraft carrier flew around and landed. There is no way I can fly the real thing so it is a game. Or I’m one hell of a fast learner I’m feeling better now...

No, the real problem is that some think its an actual aircraft, some a sim, some a game. Big distinction between the three!( oh and some think people really care that they are virtual pilots???)

I believe that ALL people are created equal and should have the same opportunity as anyone else. Women, underserved, “minority “(hate that word btw). EVERYONE! That said, it is a huge problem and this is a video game. I doubt the creators meant any malice by not representing “everyone “ but If this is all the original poster has to deal with on a daily basis that “ makes them feel under represented” then they have it pretty fricking good! I can’t imagine having the time to even consider this given current reality!!! Btw, what is a “black voice?” Stereotype much?????

I honestly feel the under represented deserve all the modules free of charge. Manufacturers should comp them complete hotas setups and no aircraft shall be armed with lethal projectiles. I’m also offended by the score keeping as I feel there should be no winners Or loosers but rather a group of “participants”. I think Ill quit my job and sit on my balls....

I believe they had no means to create a “bubble “ canopy when the F14 was designed. Could be wrong tho. That said, she’s a beast, just practice!

I took a hint from my walls. My sim “box” is up against the wall on one side. Whenever I tried to look too far down my head would bump the wall. Hence I put a fold up “wall” on the second side. Now not only will it stop me looking under the plane, which feels natural but I can press on the “canopy” to help me look back. Adds to my experience, give it a try. Obviously VR

Gotta be honest, that new 2020 flight Sim release looks like a cartoon cockpit superimposed over a photo of the real world. No buy in at all as far as my eyes are concerned. If that’s what “ cutting off the outside world” means, they can keep it, I’ll take my stuttering.

Cmon guys, it’s a computer program. When x=1 the flares pop and the ai dodge its that simple. I would think the only other way would be to either put a random generator to say “yes ai will react” or “no, they will ignore” And its an odds thing or perhaps put a timer before they react after launch is generated but they still “know” exactly what to do to dodge. The computer and everything on it knows exactly when you launch, what you launch and under what particular parameters. You can’t fool it, it only pretends to be beaten. AI is pretend after all, they have no real abilities to think...

Can someone please baby step me on this? Have tried multiple searches, read multiple threads still cant figure it out. F14 multiplayer, have SRS installed with 4 way hat up, radio 1 works great, down radio 2 works great. Push intercoms works great. Pull, brings up coms menu to then proceed to try to contact tanker, nada! I know I have the wrong coms but dang it how?? Thanks!!
