Buying Black Shark 2 before Black Shark 3
Mike_Romeo replied to szaan's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
In the A-10C II case some content werent instantly available because thired party content creators didnt had acces to the new A-10 until release. No, BS3 is a optinal update for BS2 owners. Its kinda a seperate module where you get BS2 & 3. I guess they will remove BS2 from their shop but if you buy BS3, you will also get BS2 too. Thats how they did it with the A-10C II If I remmember correctly, the A-10C II update cost 10$ for prevoius owner for the first 4 weeks after release and after that 20$. I would recommend you too wait until the next sale where the BS2 price will be reduced by 50% and to get the update as soon as its drops. This way you will pay arround 35$ for BS3. This was also done when the A-10C II was released. -
Arcording to their changelog, no.

Cruise altitude selections doesnt have a effect on the missiles. They will allways cruise 50m above the water and later change it to 100m. If the plane doesnt point at the target, the missiles will sometimes loft to 4000m and dive down to 50m and change it later to 100m. A summary of all hints https://stormbirds.blog/2021/05/05/rumours-suggest-that-su-30mkk-may-be-dekas-next-project/ -
What about your settings ? Which version of dcs you use ?
-
They argue that since the Su-25T and Ka-50 are only experimental aircrafts, they can experiment with them and add things they never had because prototypes.

You can easily update your DCS stable to open beta if you want by following those steps: Steam: 1. Open Steam and go to your library 2. Right click on DCS and select properties 3. Select the betas tab and chose "openbeta - Public beta versions" 4. Download the update. Standalone: 1. Go into the dcs\bin folder 2. Hold Lshift and right click somewhere in the folder 3. Click on "open PowerShell here" 4. Type .\DCS_updater.exe update '@openbeta' and press enter 5. Download the update

Press LShift+K to open the kneeboard and go through the pages. There are approch and ground charts with excat runway courses. The images are saved in DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\terrains\Caucasus\Kneeboard if you want to take a look at the, without open dcs. No, each map has a different magnectic variation but if you are standing on the runway, your HSI should display the excact runway heading like on the charts.

Does that Ka-52 has a licens ? Does it use real world datas and does it perform like the real aircraft ? Does it simulate al the sub systems ? To make a 3d model and give it some arcade flight model and system is something different than to make a real 1:1 simulation of the real thing where you need real life values and information.

Same reason why we are not getting the DIRCM. Because of russian laws. The KA-52 is a much newer platform and the Russians don't like to give anyone anything about them. They have become very ristrictiv to military stuff since there econmy is getting better again after the fall of the Sovjet union and econemy crisis.

Following items had been annoucent in 2020 Option for weathered cockpit textures. Completely new external model with a much-improved 3D mesh detail and textures. It will also account for the new systems like the Missile Launch Warning Systems, Directional Infrared Countermeasures (DIRCM) and the Igla air-to-air missiles. Ability to carry up to four Igla air-to-air missiles. Integrated Missile Launch Warning System (MLWS) system with display system. Integrated Directional Infrared Countermeasures (DIRCM) system with integrated display system. Based on the newsletter of today, I think we can forget about the DIRCM.

My guess is that ED is running short of money and that they will give the Ka-50 two extra pylons and 3 Iglas per pylon (like on the KA-52) to get as many sales as possible. They admit that the KA-50ED/BS3 is a fantasy helicopter and since they are just prototypes, that they can do what ever they want.
-
A real life KA-50 with 6 Pylons and Iglas doesnt exist. However, there is a KA-50 variant (the KA-50-2) with 6 pylons but its not the one we have ingame.

I think the F-1 is 3Q2021. Also a English Electric Lightning is in development by Razbam and if you consider Russia as European, we will get also a MiG-23 by them.
-
We allready have a grey/neutral coalition ingame.
-
Oh okay. wow.
-
No way....... Dont tell my you used the Modelview grid option to make that.....
-
There are btw allready servers with a dynamic campaign. For exapmle:
