  9. Only one confusing here is you bud. The rest of us are right. Slip or crabbing is adjusted by yaw. Not roll. Doesnt matter if it's straight flight, or on a turn. If you're heading 180 and your nose is pointing at 170, you need to adjust yaw to get the nose pointed on the right heading. Start flying warbirds, and you'll learn this real quick.   12. Look at it as driving a car. If you'd drift a corner, with the back stepping out, you'd see the ball move to the side the back stepped out on. Now if you'd make a lane change, the ball wouldn't move. Even though you moved sideways, the orientation of the car never changed, so neither would the ball. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk

  14. No. The I-beam is letting you know which way to turn the aircraft. If you target something on the left with your head, the I-beam moves left to tell you to turn left to line up the rocket pods with the target. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  15. Yep. The way I understand it, is in NAV it's like a targeting pod slaved to a steerpoint. So all you have to do is look at the target, and get a solution where the I-beam is solid and in line with the target. In COOP the CPG is targeting and ranging, like manually steering a targeting pod onto a target, like a point track,, and now you have to put the I-beam on the target, and when it's solid, you can fire.   18. Thank you for the picture, that makes it easier to understand. The wording "head tracker" might have added to the confusion as it's easy to assume it follows your head, instead of the "head" of the aircraft, like the Hornet's waterline symbol. So from the picture, the aircraft is slightly crabbing, and you adjusted for that by putting the I-beam left of the target you intended to hit. Makes much more sense now.   19. It just seems more complicated than it needs to be. It seems if it had a CCIP pipper calculating windage and distance that would be all you need. Use the HMD to designate the target and the I-beam to show where the rockets hit. Line the two up, done. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
