  1. From what I understand, position 1 and 2 are "activate when locked" and position 3 is on constantly, What's the difference between 1 and 2? Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  2. ED mentioned lots of updates for the Cat coming next patch. Can you tell us what's coming? Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  3. I would think vs the MiG the Tomcat would stand a better chance than the Flanker in an equal left to left pass fight. Other than that it would probably depend on who sees who first. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  4. Would be a great playground for what if the Cold War didn't stay cold scenarios. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  5. They just announced the Eurofighter. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  6. Is a current day version in the works? (a reverse of Marianas) Would be a great map for Cold War that didn't stay cold scenarios. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  7. The Tomcat is fantastic. A Mach 2 Warbird. You have to fly her properly or she will try to kill you. Going from a fly-by-wire module to the Tomcat is an eye opener. Especially in VR. The way she talks to you at the limit is just incredible. Just don't look at the instrument night lighting right now. When she was released it was gorgeous, but ED's light patches messed it all up. 8. No need to bind it. It's literally just opening Jester menu, Within Visual Range, Jettison Tanks. Master Arm has to be on though. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  9. John Turturro or Adam Sandler from "don't mess with the Zohan" [emoji1787] Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  10. The lighting was incredible before ED's "big light" patch, which completely ruined it. Now when you jump in a night mission, the Cat looks like, well, an Amsterdam cathouse [emoji23] @heatblur don't forget to do the Sparrowhawk HUD, MFD, AN/APG-71 and all the other goodies.... I'm kidding, calm down people. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  11. Thank you!! I thought he'd create it as a steerpoint. Follow up question, with the LANTIRN POD activated, and the plane in A-G mode, that screen doesn't get projected. Is there another way to see it, or do you have to switch from A-G to A-A and then back to A-G once you reach the mark point? Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  12. The audio from the scripts was missing. Jester talked like normal after commands, but no audio from anything mission related. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  13. During the LANTIRN mission, Jester receives coordinates for WP2 or you can create a mark point on the F10 map, and use that as a source to create a waypoint. How do you do that? Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  14. They don't "need" to do anything. Don't like HARM on station 4 and 6? Check the mark for restrictions on loadouts. Wasn't that easy? Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  15. What settings do you proper Tomcat pilots use in the sim for dead zone etc? I have the VKB tomcat grip, curved extension, and base. I'm assuming for testing the Tomcat you use the same, or something similar. Would you care to share your settings? I'm asking mostly for mid-air refueling. I get her lined up, crawl closer, but without fail in the last couple feet to the basket everything goes completely wrong and I'm wondering if I need to change some settings, or if it's just a matter of practicing more. The smallest touches seem to result in ridiculous amounts of PIO. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  16. Just use the hand controllers, that's what they're for, to simulate hands. And they work great. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  17. Excuse the phrasing, I'm not perfect with the lingo, but in order for the autopilot to engage level flight, you have to be within 200 feet per minute climb or descend. If you're over that, it won't engage. It doesn't need to be trimmed like that, I can hold the stick to where she's stable, then pinky switch and she'll hold altitude. You can still roll gently without breaking the parameters. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  18. I use the VKB Tomcat grip with curved extension. Love it. No issues. Can reach everything perfectly. Make sure your stick is turned slightly to the left for comfort. And I use auto pilot in long stretches of level flight to and from the AO. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  19. Grab it, like a switch, then use the joystick on the controller left or right to turn the knob. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  20. Sure you can. Switch to white hot, or black hot, and it'll stand out like a sore thumb. Realistically, enemy forces would always put a SAM in a forest, not in the middle of a clearing. That's why infrared was added to the pods to begin with. Otherwise we could do everything with the TV setting (if this version of the pod even has that). People turn on labels, or dots, to help them find targets, so then trees don't matter anymore either. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  21. Yup! I didn't know each rack only needs one missile to be aligned on it, to align all 3. Saves some time. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  22. Point track will follow a moving target. Area track will lock onto a static object/area. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  23. I appreciate that. You know, wouldn't make a bad series on your channel, to show how the systems work. Definitely for me, visual learning has always definitely been easier than reading about things. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  24. We obviously don't know, being mere subsonic ground dwelling mortals [emoji1787] Do the FLCS and AOA limiter make it "unstallable"? Will it automatically level itself reducing its AOA limit to the point where it never stalls? Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  25. Yeah I didn't make that "1 knot above stall" comment lol. I just assumed that if landing speeds change on weight, so do stall speeds. P.S. fan of the channel. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
