  1. A good way to save VRAM with Oculus headsets is using Virtual Desktop for PCVR, now VD can launch native OpenXR game without Oculus PC or Steam VR and those are a VRAM hog
  2. Spoiler: you dont have to use DLSS, you can turn it off
  3. DLSS Tweaks and select the F profile for the DLSS level you use, it will reduce the ghosting (but not get rid off)
  4. You dont need to take off the headset, it would work in desktop mode on your headset
  5. DLAA is part of DLSS so nVidia only
  6. tried page file set custom to initial/maximun to 32768, same happens, and server is on SSD
  7. Well, just that, it works fine on Caucasus missions, but as long as i add a mission on Persian Gulf or Syria, no matter if a simple or a complex one, server crash and log doesnt show anything after the add mission action. This started from one day to another, not any update involved. Edit: it looks it happen con Caucasus missions too, im totally lost dcs.log
  8. Check your VRAM, dont know what settings are you running on your screenshot but you have it filled and at that point is where the stutter fest starts
  9. Can confirm this, it looks pretty random
  10. Now you dont need the upscale options from OpenXR Toolkit as you already have it on DCS (and a better ones as the FSR on Toolkit is 1.0 version and the DCS one is the 2.0). Rest of options still doesnt have an equivalent on DCS
  11. You leave your desire resolution and depending what DLSS you select if will render at lower resolution and upscale to the one you selected: Quality > 67% of target resolution Balanced > 58% Performance > 50% Ultra Performance > 33% DLAA is DLSS at 100% resolution
  12. The resolution you use on your Quest 2
  13. Try this: Increase your resolution by 20% Enable DLSS Quality Set sharpening on 0.9 or 1 You should still get better performance than with your usual resolution and MSAA x2 but with a sharp picture and no jaggies
  14. You shouldnt note any difference as far you dont enable FSR/TAA but if you enable it you will get more or less ghostin depending on the situation
  15. Dont know if its a bug or not implemented yet. On multiplayer while a pilot can send FARM reports, TGTs and other data throught DL the CPG cant as SEND button doesnt appear, is this expected, not implemented or a bug from a mp?
  16. My point its about why is so bad on ED modules but it works perfect on Mirage and Strike Eagle TGP (but rest of menús on SE have ghosting but much less than, as example, Viper), they have to make something different
  17. I would like to know what ED thinks about the insane amount of ghosting that DLSS related options create on MFD because it looks like its related to how ED modules work as Hornet, Viper, Warthog, Apache or Black Shark suffer it but Mirage 2000 radar display has zero ghosting and Strike Eagle one very little
  18. So many guys complaining about why choosing DLSS instead of FSR first and both are releasing on the same patch... ED boss!
  19. 3080 10GB you will get out of VRAM quickly, on 12GB version you will be on the edge on modules like Apache
  20. Of course its a supersampler too, not mentioning it doesnt change anything i said. If you simplified my post to just "not correct" and keep not seeing the difference between RSR not having access to temporal data (being upscaling/supersampling) and FSR 2.0+ yes (being image reconstruction), no offense but i end here
  21. Its the equivalent to FSR 1.0 because for 2.0 and beyond need temporal information from the game engine for work, you cant get that information from games that doesnt support it or via driver for games that does it, it needs to be implemented at game level, thats why you can apply FSR 1.0 to any game even without the Adrenaline, because it doesnt need any info from the game as is just a spatial upscaler with nothing more, same as nVidia NIS, and thats why AMD warns you to disable RSR on games that support FSR. Temporal information its what makes the difference on visual quality and integration You even can apply FSR 1.0 and nVidia NIS to any VR game through software like OpenXR Toolkit. Obviously you get the performance gain but not the image quality of 2.0 and beyond
  22. The one avalible on Adrenaline is FSR 1, not 2 or 3
  23. Here, on the first 2023´s newsletter: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/news/newsletters/a6204cbc7d5df25e887acb434b2f8e1b/
  24. What cofirmation you need? It just how it works On DLSS every frame its a regular frame just at lower resolution, so the work needed from the CPU is the same that having DLSS off while on Frame Generation CPU its not needed for the "fake" frames as all the work needed for it its done GPU, thats why it increases performance even on a CPU bottlenecked scenario
  25. DLSS will reduce (a bit) the VRAM usage but if you are on a CPU bottlenecked scenerio you will not have any performance boost. The only thing about DLSS that will get you a perfomance boost on that scenario is Frame Generation and, as far i know, we will not get it, at least at first
