Steam shop states 31 May as release date and, if i rememeber correctly, i think ED said that Valver are very aggresive on not meeting the release date so maybe the Hind will be released next Monday?

That´s a FOV limiter, it´s different from VR Mask as first is squared and second has the shape of the lens making it way more efective to reduce pixel count, and the option you refer has nothing to do with the mask, it´s a super sampling mask, there you change the radius of the zone you want to apply super sampling. I still don´t have the VR mask over SteamVR API, is frustrating...

Instruments are self iluminated, you dont need an NVG to reading it, use the fov outside the NVG or take it off

Is taking 3 fuel tanks on a F-16 a good idea?

For CAP and SEAD/DEAD missions i usually go for two wing tanks, on ground pounding it depends on how much loadout i need, two wing tanks or only centerline tank, never go with three tanks. Throttle management & high altitude is the key, at first i struggle coming from the Hornet, but now i can fly much much longer (and, if not, theres always a tanker near) -

Don´t expect 120hz will gives you better results unless your hardware is capable of, at least, run 60 fps stable, below that you will run full of stutter -
DCS updated with today patch and still missing the VR mask on SteamVR

Maybe i haven´t explained... DCS 2.7 + No compatibility mode: Load or exit to desktop speed normal, crash on second mission or changing map DCS 2.7 + Compatibility mode setting as Windows 8: Longer load speed and much longer to exit from game but no crash Im not comparing 2.7 to 2.5 loading times

Ironically if you set compatibility mode to Windows 8 it doesnt crash but it takes a bit longer to load and much longer to close DCS

The point of my reply was to explain that while a game that hasn’t been specifically optimized for ReBar still can see a some performance increase depending on how the engine works for DLSS has to be implemented on game engine

At least, if theres no fix on today patch, i expect an status report of the fix. Yeah, i know it´s a BETA and things like this happen but they was teasing the new cloud system for months and five weeks since the release was done and we don´t know nothing and i was a bit worried if theres a critical failure on new weather system basis

If they fix the jittering glitch only it will be great, I can live with the rest some more weeks but man, that cloud jitter... Make all look bad

I haven’t stated that i expect a similar performance of FSR to DLSS but the thing is DLSS is tied to nVidia, FSR uses DirectML and it’s not tied to a one brand, have you seen any proprietary technology on DCS? Yes, just that

Nah, it´s not even close, without ReBar your CPU can access to only 256MB of VRAM already, with ReBar the CPU can access to all VRAM so in some scenaries, without even optimize to it, there can be a slight enhance. On the other hand for DLSS ED needs to work with nVidia, as nVidia has to run some game code over his machine learning systems and, once done, the nVidia driver must has support for it as far i remember so i think it´s impossible if ED don´t make it happen

I think that DLSS (or FSR) is the magic bullet that VR really needs as HMD FOV and resolution climbs (and we need that they climb) It uses the RT cores on RTX cards, apart from that has nothing to do with raytracing, it´s a new super sampling technique

It´s really supposed that tanker lights at night refueling is only mean to be seen with NVG? Cause in the game you can´t see it without NVG

People usually use Open Beta cause, like this one, new additions are much before than on the stable version

I was using SweetFX FXAA (combined with CAS) and now the SMAA provided by @Taz1004 and man, alising is lesser and clarity is far superior with SMAA, thanks! @Taz1004 can you share the values you have on SMAA?

If you read the 2021 roadmap you will see that multithreading and Vulkan API support are planned for this year. I doubt they have any intention of implementing DLSS, maybe the future FSR
