  1. Pretty good for a first vid on the new editor. I liked the choice of music. Nice job.
  2. Isn't there also an ingame video componant which allows the user to take the tracks and make a movie of them in most existing formats? I use fraps myself but I do believe the in game software is there.
  3. Thanks for the reply. No issues so I guess I'll pass on this particular minor patch.
  4. So, do I really need to download and install 1.01c?
  5. beautiful work!
  6. I don't speak Italian and I've not had time to run this through the online translator but I hope you guys are asking ED to eventually get us a Agusta A129 Mangusta for the sim. :) I would love a module for this helicopter. It would fit in with respect to the map area since I believe Turkey has just finalized a contract for this aircraft to be their next attack helicopter. I can't remember the number to be produced but it was a significant one. Perhaps the Turkish military will want to look into TBS and a new module of this heli?:music_whistling: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Agusta_A129_Mangusta
  7. Personally, I wouldn't mind having a Predator/Forward Observer module available for our community. Imagine the online multiplayer possibilities with these tools. You as the forward observer or JTAC observer reconning the battle area. Talking with your mates (who are flying the fast movers or helicopter modules) on Teamspeak. Painting for them a picture of the enemy, directing them to their strike zones. Then, having the ability to call in artillery. More choices in DCS means more fun. I would gladly pay for these.
  8. That is my take on it as well. It says in the manual that they (wingman) should go to assigned point and hover if no attack orders are given but as previously said by others, they do not stay in place. They immediately return to you.
  9. LOL! You are very welcome. It has been a most interesting thread. Going to try out some stuff myself. Will post track(s) when finished. Would still like to see other's tracks on this. As mentioned before, not much in manual on this and you got to figure Russia has a lot of old ordinance in storage so they are going to be using this when they can.
  10. Does anyone have any tracks of the proper usage and implementation of free fall bombs from the Black Shark? Been trying to practice myself using this ordinance but having a hard time. Any help would be most appreciated.
  11. Here is an excellent article which answers your questions regarding the "clashing of rotors." The author did a superb job. http://www.simhq.com/_air13/air_427a.html Hope this helps. Cheers.
  12. Nice vid. You can't go wrong with AC/DC.
  13. After reading through this thread and suffering the same problems as Sm0k3y, I have just got to say...Damn but I love this sim!:pilotfly:
  14. Oh what do you know GGTharos...your just an F-15 driver!:music_whistling:
  15. He's probably talking about the mission which gives one a tour of the sites of the crimean area. I forget who made it but it was done a while ago.
  16. Pretty intense. I bet that guy had a beer or two afterwards.
  17. The author did a great job. I learned a thing or two and got some better understanding of what these systems are doing when I use them in flight. If you have not read them yet...do so. They are a must read, you'll be treating yourself.
  18. It looks like a pretty cool magazine(s). Is there a similar magazine or magazines which focus on military helicopters?
  19. So in other words, the "onboard number" is just the individual aircraft identification and the "callsign" is the pilot identification. Am I correct in this assumption?
  20. Would someone enlighten me as to the purpose of these two things? The reason I ask is I'm working on a mission and I'm looking at the spaces in the mission editor for "onboard #" and "callsign." If I have two aircraft in a flight, should they have the same onboard number? How is the callsign related (if any) to the onboard number?
  21. @EtherealN...I actually only meant this as a tongue'n'cheek reply considering the other posts here in this thread. I'll have to pay more attention to my wording. In seriousness, what-ever the next product, I'm sure it will be good.
  22. LOL...all you gentlemen are wrong. The next DCS product after the A-10C will be Digital Combat Simulator: AC130U. :smilewink: http://www.thebattlesim.com/ Might actually be fun.
  23. Excellent educational tool. Thank you.
  24. I would vote for the Apache AH-64A, data is out there for this aircraft and many nations listed in the Black Shark editor fly it. Therefore, you could fly for your favorite nation with some semblance of reality. I would also vote for the Mangusta because Turkey just signed a deal to purchase/build 200+ of them the last few years and Turkey is a prominant power in the black sea and thus in the BS mission editor. There are others here with more knowledge but I don't think the Mangusta is not all that sophisticated in terms of classified technology thus ED might be able to actually simulate the aircraft realistically. My third choice would be of course the Mi-24 hind. Probably the most famous helicopter in the world, and I'm sure ED could get data on it for the sim. Might be interesting to fly for Georgia?
