  1. Interesting thread. Good information here.
  2. Congratulations indeed. 10 years dedicatd to a super hobby is fantastic!
  3. Also, are you running the game as administrator?
  4. Nate--IRL--, Not really convinced this is a bug but if ED could take a look at the spotting characteristics of the AI wingmen. I was play testing a mission I'm making last night and noticed they can see from very far out while flying on my wing. The whole point of this mission I'm making is to "hunt" the hidden enemy vehicles and infantry and when my wingman was calling out everything from several kilometers away it kind of got frustrating. Maybe make them not so good?:)
  5. When you map them to the game. Did you save the profile under a new name?
  6. LOL...yep...you got to really fly this baby. It makes it all the more fun IMHO.:pilotfly:
  7. I don't see what problems you are having with the autoturn. It looked to me that the helicopter was indeed facing the right direction with your auto-turn to target button pressed. The only thing I can hazard to guess is that you think the auto-turn to target means the system will line up the targeting pipper with the target. If so, that is incorrect. You must manually move the targetting pipper over the locked target in order to get a "shoot cue." The auto-turn-to-target only points the aircraft in the direction of the locked target.
  8. Very nice tutorial. I will definately use it to get back in the game.
  9. I will check it out. Looks very interesting. Thanks.
  10. It is producers note number 8 titled data link.
  11. It has been a while but I'll try to explain. You train your schval on a distant piece of ground. Lock that ground in schval. Up on the upper left control panel where you assign targets, there is a button for ingress point. You hit that. There is now an ingress point on the abris. Remember to reset the abris so it takes. Now, find targets, assign targets to a wingman. Assign ingress point to wingman. Tell wingman to go to ingress point. Before last patch, you could do this and he would fly to ingress point and then attack assigned targets from that point. He no longer does that as mentioned before. There was a producer note from Matt which showed this. I'll have to take a look at which one and get back to you. I hope this helps.
  12. Things which come to mind regarding wingmen. (1) When you give order for wingman to hold position, he does not but flies off is some direction of his choosing. (2) When you as the flight leader set-up an ingress point for a wingman, assign targets to him via that ingress point and then give him the order to go to that ingress point and attack assigned targets, he does not and tells you negative. Engine sound cut out. As mentioned by someone else. If you do a manual start-up. Go through the procedure. You eventually lose the sound of I believe it was the left engine. If I remember correctly, it was after you start up the right engine.
  13. I can live with the trees...but buildings don't give you cover either? That is a big disapointment.
  14. Nice. You know, I swear I saw people hanging out of their balconys from those apartment buildings enjoying the show.
  15. @igormk---I heartily agree.
  16. Take a look at Dart's answer to this question. I've tried it and it works...it just takes a little work to pull it off. There is a lot of trial and error. Don't give up. http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=654284&postcount=2
  17. It is quite simple Woot. Here is a simple video showing how to do it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qQ_rStJqi2o
  18. Everything you need to know is the in GUI manual provided with the simulation. There is a section on multiplayer at the end of this manual.
  19. yeah, that is one of my favorites on Black Shark out there on YouTube. The VAAF do a really nice job with their video editing. I keep waiting for them to do some more.
  20. That is what I think too.;)
  21. I usually do rolling takeoffs/landings due to the translational lift assistance of the technique. I learned that this is the proper way from Ed Macy's book "Apache." I find it much easier than hover landings and takeoffs, particularly in missions where the weather is extremely hot and humid. Here is more information on the issue. http://helicopterflight.net/translational_lift.htm Cheers.
  22. I noticed your Su-27s had Chinese markings on them. Great touch!
  23. That is just beautiful! Thanks so much for working on this. This would be such a fantastic theater to fly and fight in.
