Nope, CHC over here. Worked on the S-76 myself as well. Was the B variant though. There now retired cause our customers thought they where to old, hence the crappy 139's we have now.

The school of hard knocks????? Anyways that's a nice selection of helicopters you work on. The AS332L1 is either a Puma or Super Puma right? Still find it strange you have to tow those whit the doors open cause otherwise there's a danger of them being blown over........:D

Would be very nice yes. Would even settle for a variant without jumping animation.

Better hope i do my job right then.:book: I'm a licensed helicopter maintenance technician. Meaning i am doing all the maintenance on the helicopters our pilots break really. Type of helicopter i am certified on is the Agusta Westland 139. At times i also work on the Eurocopter 155B1 Both are configured for off-shore operations. video, dampen the volume on your speakers a bit. AW139, in the back you can see an S-92. EC-155 in front of the passenger terminal Curious Griffin, doesn't that get a bit boring having to overhaul the same components on the same engines (type) over and over again? Had an internship for 20 weeks in an overhaul shop for hydraulic components, run by the KLM. And fun as it was, glad its not my daily job now, way to repetitive.

Is it possible to add the ingame KC-135 to other countries like for example Germany? This would allow two side to have A10C's and have the ability to refuel them in air. Would be nice if we could do the same whit the Russian IL-78M. And yes, have tried to search for this but couldn't find anything useful.

Replace poor whit sensible please. Also, how do you know my or anyone else's wealth?

Did you set your altimeter to the correct QFE? Or did you leave it at its default value? In the latter, depending on the weather, you might actually have flown lower then you thought.

Multiplayer Server Creation is Full of Fail
159th_Falcon replied to TraxusIV's topic in Multiplayer Issues
Lets say it like this. Whenever i look in the multiplayer list i see at the very least 30+ servers. Of which i guess 10 orso or dedicated ones. Conclusion, your the problem, not the program. Now instead of coming on here screaming ED this programs that and the such. You may actually try and provide us whit info that would be help us help you. seriously, READ that link CAREFULLY. And then come back here whit your problem, its highly likely someone can help you. Wonder if they still would though after such an insulting rant. ***EDIT*** PS, ARMA 3 does NOT have a dedicated server program. Only a community hack to disable the 3d world and run the game in a console. -
Do you get any errors when this happens? If so please post them. Also what operating system are you running and is it 32 or 64 bits?

You forgot UH-12 :D

Just checked the Mission Editor, and there's only 3 country's in there that have an Air-Air refueling capability. Only one (USA) has the capability for refueling whit a boom. Beside the fact that this is highly unrealistic, it also gives mission makers a problem. Cause only one side can have A-10's whit Air-Air refueling available. Which is a severe limitation. A lot of country's in the ME, have refueling platforms whit a boom in real life. Like for example the Dutch. Hence my suggestion would be to make the KC-135 available to (some of) those country's It may not be realistic in the way that there not operating that exact type of plane, but it is realistic in the capability it provides. It will also open up much more possibilities in Mission Editing/making. Also, while were at it, maybe to the same whit the Russian basket tanker, IL-78M(?)

They are actually, rotary wing PLANES to be exact.:D

No point in making a world map if there's nothing to see, will make flying to the target even more boring then it already is. And quite frankly, i'd care less about FSX our any other community, as long as ED makes enough money to continue what they do best. Make kick ass sims and be the best at what they do.
-
Hehe, if ED would have gotten a dime for every single time someone said that...... That would be making more profit then STEAM, Origin and EA put together.

Have been following this thread on and off. And i have an idea on what you guys are missing in the test mission. A player controlled platform. Normally, your playing the game controlling a plane or ground unit. This means, especially whit the planes that extra processing power is going to the simulation of the player controlled vehicle. Since there are no player controlled vehicle in the test mission there's enough resources left to mask an substantial and unacceptable drop in FPS My suggestion, add an player controlled A10C (or similar) into the test mission's and run them again.

It hapens, at least you posted the solution here so others that run into the same trouble know how you could fix it.

Actually, i'm surprised you didn't beat him to it.:D

DDG-115 USS Rafael Peralta
159th_Falcon replied to ArleighBurke's topic in 3D Modeling for DCS World
Then again, they never said what you could do whit the three of em........ That's ED for ya. It has been announced though that in future players can change waypoints and fire points of Naval units using the ground commander mode of Combined Arms. Can be next month, can be 5 years. And before you start, don't bother asking when something will be done, cause here's your answer When its done ™®© ~S~ -

159th_Falcon replied to ArleighBurke's topic in 3D Modeling for DCS World
Interrior is not required for DCS, mainly because ships can not be controlled by players. That is, not at this moment, may change one day though. So unless you would want to do some absolutely crazy realistic damage modelling no one will ever get to see the work. (hmmm, maybe we can using F11 view, ill get back to this). Reference the screenshots. In DCS world there is a camera view you can freely control and even go right trough 3d models whit it. Viewing the inside, screenshots are show the Admiral Kuznetsov (RU carrier) and the insides of its bridge. Pretty much nothing. -
http://www.ausairpower.net/APA-Engagement-Fire-Control.html#mozTocId926428 Above is a nice read on Russian engagement radars, including the one's used in the BUK M1 Telar. Careful though, lots of version's around so hard to say what version ED is modelling.

Awesome, would be nice if you could manage to import the Civillian ships into DCS World. Imagine, protect the MS Queen Elizabeth, lying in the harbor of Sukhumi from insurgent attack. As far as limits on the poly's don't think there is a real limit, but less is better given the high amount of objects in DCS. Any plans on making the Nishin Maru? Would love to fire some KH-25 ML's using a vanilla frogfoot.:joystick: And assuming your not all that familiar whit the combat side of things; KH-25ML Vanilla Frogfoot, SU-25 And in case you didn't know yet, you can download and use DCS World for free. -
FC3 missile incoming messages
159th_Falcon replied to karambiatos's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Yes and no, Yes it is a cheat in the fact you will hear all missile launches and where they come from. No, in real life they might be spotted by a wingmen/weapons operator etc etc. In the simulator the most realistic setting would be off in my opinion though. Cause whit it on its like your having an all seeing eye calling the missiles out for you, instead of wingmen etc that can mis launches. -
Understanding con trails...
159th_Falcon replied to fitness88's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Lets take the simulator environment here as reference, not the real atmoshpere. 1, start at 8000 meters and stop at 12000 meters (3 ft is about 1 m) 2, no idea, i suggest you set some settings in the mission editor and try it out. (there is an icon bar on the left, near the top is one to change weather conditions) 3, Yes, for all planes in DCS World in fact. 4, Yes, the process that produces contrails are the same for all engines. (to to be confused whit smokeless rocket motors, these still produce contrails)
