  1. No they were not, and i believe the trains even follow there real life train schedule. At least they did way back in the days of LOMAC. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=30235
  2. Embedding aint working for whatever reason, anyway, SU-25T performing run-in and break.
  3. Rolling and Pitching deck is already in the sim depending on sea state. Which in turn is dependent on weather conditions. I don't expect the current visuals of the water to improve very much but i think there already rather good. (talking 1.5)
  4. Not sure about the how and why but its normal. The real one has the same problem.
  5. Have you tried setting the windows scaling to 100%? Worked for me whit the same issue.
  6. Have you tried re-saving the old mission in the 1.5 editor? Have hearth it helps. Please mind though that once you do the mission can NOT be used in 1.2.x anymore so make a backup.
  7. Any plans on cutting it up and making it suitable for the kneeboard? Anyway's, awesome work. Hope ED will eventually add similar functionality to F10 view on there maps.
  8. The answer was not to transfer anything from 1.2.x to 1.5 because of the switch to Dx11 as well as other things. (like control assignments that changed, MIG-21 being a prime example) I know, its a pain. But part of the DCS way of life.
  9. Above is true for Windows 8 as well. (own experience)
  10. +1, running 3840*2160 here and the GUI cant cope whit it. Would be nice to see some scaling. Then again, very happy that 1.5 is out and the state it is generally in. Quite stable, awesome graphics and far better performance.
  11. Also running a 4k monitor here (res 3840*2160) on an MSI 970 and Intel I7 4770 whit 16GB Kingston RAM. I have all settings on high (no ultra) Mirrors on, Vsync on, HDR on. Cockpit displays 512 (not 512 every frame) DoF OFF, Lens Effects Dirt+Flare, Clutter Bushes 1500, Trees 9964, Preload Radius 150000. MSAA 2x AF 4x Model Visibility Normal Flat terrain shadows Off Whit these settings i get between 45 and 60 FPS (note Vsync wont let it go higher) Lower FPS is over newer parts of the map whit newer model cities and the higher fps vice versa. Not extensively tested in combat yet but should give you an idea. Personally considering a SLI setup whit two 970's, but given the current conflicting reports about SLI im holding off on that one.
  12. Make sure that windows scaling is set to 100%, anything else and you get the shifted menue issue as described here as well; http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=148115 post#7 explains the solution.
  13. No, or at least. They should not. Its a new feature so there might be bugs.
  14. Awesome that worked. Still hope ED will solve this issue whit the windows scaling however. On this resolution of 3840*2160, even on a 40 inc monitor 100% scaling makes everything pretty darn small and hard to read. But, for now, at least i know what i have to do to enjoy DCSW 1.5 Thank you very much. (ps, still running windows 8 here, but had a scaling set of 125% in windows.)
  15. Unfortunately, that's what im already doing. Thanks for the tip though. Ill try setting full screen "on" in the config file, see if that helps. EDIT Turns out Full screen was turned on, so i set it off. Didn't help though. If i switch to a lower resolution in windowed mode (2560*1440) all is fine. Any other ideas.?
  16. 4K resolution menu's shifted Running a clean install of DCS 1.5 Upon the first launch it was running in a very low resolution, so i changed it in the options. Problem i now am having though is that i cant see the module icons on the main screen anymore, and when i go to options the screen is shifted to the right and down. Meaning that i cant change the resolution back from 3840*2160 cause i cant see the OK or APPLY button in the lower right of the menu. See attached screenshots, what i actually see on my screen is marked whit a RED border. (if someone can tell me where the config file is i can try running a lower resolution and see what happens.)
  17. What i don't get is, WHY you have to pause the game to change the keybindings? Just let it run, if you crash your fault for setting up keys while flying. Really i don't see why multiplayer has to prevent anyone from changing keybindings. DCS is the only game i know of for who it is a problem and i cant see why, pausing the whole server is not needed.
  18. Also, its not just the map and campaign that needs to be paid for. It has also taken a significant amount of time to rebuild the graphics rendering engine in order to make the map work in the game. Also don't forget that the A-10C release date was in 2008, and the Nevada map was meant to be released back then. So it has taken 7 years to get to a point where an ALPHA release may be shown to the public. 7 years of hard development work and were only paying 40 dollars, it's a steal really.
  19. Can confirm, ran in from 10k Alt and managed to get LA before getting shot at. The SA-15 did not try to shoot the bomb down. However, at that altitude by the time i could turn around i was already shot down. So not a viable tactic. As for range on the KH-25's, it's rather disappointing currently. They need some love. For the 29T, great for stationary target but very limited capability on hitting a moving target. Also the seeker is a bit limited in range as well as the missile itself. (at least last time i tested it many moons ago.) (KH-25MPU's are fine range wise btw, just the ML i believe that's lacking legs) EDIT Just tested the 29T and from 10K alt the indicated range on the range indicator was less then 10 km (bug?) Decided to use launch override and gamble the seeker would have a lock from about 12km range. It did and both SA-15's were destroyed, 2nd one only just though cause it started moving causing the missile to miss. The blast was close enough to still kill the SA-15. (and a nearby fuel truck.......) Also, its a real pain getting up that high in the 25T, so even though it may be possible, it may not be a viable option.
  20. Testing stuff anyway, let me try. EDIT, Nope, does not work, tested on SA-15 set to excellent; From 5km Alt you get launched on before you get LA or are in range of the KAB500Kr From 7km Alt you get launched on before you get LA, you do get in range of the 500Kr though. Thought the angle the seeker head had to make was to big so i tried a 2nd time from 7km Alt, This time i pulled up a bit to establish a climb to 7500 when almost in range and then dive back down to make sure the seeker head could align. But by the time you get a lock and LA you have already been launched at. No chance to escape the missile either. Another problem is that by pulling up your speed reduces which drasticly reduces the bombs range.
  21. For the mission design i'd go whit the following given the fact that the A-10C and KA-50 are more then capable of dealing whit AAA and manpads themselves. 2* MPS-410 jammers 4* 25MPU 1* L-081 Phantasmagoria Pure SEAD load-out and not having the 58's brings some welcome speed and manoeuvrability. The range of the 58's is only really needed against HAWK, Patriot, S300 and the likes.
  22. This works nicely for me, for 4K you need the 2160 folder. http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/1412130/
  23. Did the MiG-21 ever use Tactical Nukes?
  24. Cause you are, from the announcment; "The M2000C is a multi-role, French-designed, 4th generation fighter. It was designed in the 1970s as a lightweight fighter"
  25. Do look up some tests on any TV's you wanna buy though, some have input lags which are very noticeble even on non competitive levels of game play. Better option might be a big 4K monitor, sadly enough there is only one around that i know off. Then again, it's pretty good and certainly good enough for DCS; Phillips BDM4065UC, love it. http://uk.hardware.info/reviews/6179/17/17-ultra-hd-monitors-review-pixel-explosion-philips-bdm4065uc 40 Inches of goodness for 550 pounds, or around 700 euro.
