  1. Have you considered contacting redbull to see if there interested in some kind of sponsorship? Might help setting the company up and getting the initial funds. They own a good number of aircraft and helicopters, and given the popularity of the Virtual Aerobatics server a model of one of there Red Bull Air Race planes could prove viable? http://www.hangar-7.com/en/the-flying-bulls/the-flying-bulls/
  2. Don't let that hold you back; Always worth trying i guess.
  3. Sorry no, didn't quite read the whole thread and was set on the wrong foot by your post about resetting refresh rate to 59Hz. No experience whit SLI so can't help you there i'm afraid.
  4. Go to C:/users/username/savedgames/dcs/config and in that config folder create a .lua file called autoexec.lua in that file add the following; options.graphics.maxfps = 59 Set the 59 to any desired framerate your PC is capable or running, set to 0 for unlimited. you can also configure your screenshot quality and fileformat here; options.graphics.ScreenshotQuality = 100 ScreenshotExt = "bmp"
  5. Most Helicopters today are equipped whit some sort of trim system. Some may only have it on certain axis, others on all, but its a common thing to have in helicopters. Though, the thing that makes the helicopter handle more easily is not the trim as such, its the Stability Augmentation System that's part of the trim system that does. But hey, details. As for the flight model, it seems very realistic for as far and armchair pilot is to judge. And if we can believe ED it is indeed very realistic, as in one of the most accurate helicopter flight models for the consumer market.
  6. Hardened targets are the lunch of choice for the BetAB 500 SHP concrete piercing bomb. It features a high explosive warhead that is driven into the target by a rocket motor which ignites after the bomb is brought in a near vertical orientation by means of an retarding parachute. Though, due to the current damage modelling of the game i have no idea if it will work as advertised. It does make some huge craters in runways though.
  7. Something like this whit the slalom course i guess then? Try joining the Virtual Aerobatics Server. Couple of these kind of slalom courses can be found there for any plane to fly trough. Even keeps track of your current time and personal best as well as best on the server. (at that moment, no idea if and when these times get reset)
  8. I have quite often flown a fully loaded T above 3000 meters whit a throttle setting between 90 and 95%. Once you get up there, you don't need a whole lot to stay there. Mind you, this was enroute towards the targets, so straight and level.
  9. My bet would be on May 4th:music_whistling:
  10. Awesome, shame they didn't use a small jetplane cut-out from cardboard and some strong lights to cast a slight shadow of it on the wall in the background.
  11. Beczl Studios did, you know the guys that started off whit a MIG-21 mod that trough plenty of hoops and leaps became the MIG-21BIS from leatherneck.
  12. No, you could not. Let me try to explain. There are switches that work a bit similar to a relay. They only stay in a certain position if a current is going trough a holding coil. Now if the holding coil circuit of both switches is placed in series before going to ground you need to keep both switches in the given position for the holding circuit to start working. Once it works though your free to let go and they will stay where they are. I believe there are a couple of these kind of switches in the A-10C, on the LH console just besides the throttle, not sure what they do or what there called though. ***EDIT*** Like these; http://sensing.honeywell.com/products/Basic-Switches/Toggle-Switches/ET/Ne/3025/N/3670
  13. That's seems like a really good idea actually, two switches in the cockpit instead of one. Could even make it so that once they are in the door locked position they remain there unless moved by either pilot. Removing the need of to relock the door after a given time as it is now. (apparently)
  14. Lol, nice one Joey. Your starting on a new ship or redoing one of the current ones?
  15. You must have been living under a rock then.......... http://forums.eagle.ru/forumdisplay.php?f=105 And that's just the main ED announcements, have a look over at the 3th party DEV forums for more; http://forums.eagle.ru/forumdisplay.php?f=200
  16. No thank's. Imagine a hickup in this system during an emergency decent...... Or on approach. Or on take-off. Or any other part of the flight, the pilot should never ever be locked out of control. Certainly not by an automated system.
  17. Letting the person's boss know he declared there employee unfit for work and refer to the employee for details. That way privacy and safety are honoured.
  18. That's some amazing artwork. Did Chizh make those himself?
  19. Lol, +1. Now, where are those bridges again.:joystick:
  20. Still a big fat +1 here as well. Together whit a proper AI for said infantry please.
  21. Slide, how could i not think of that myself? Thanks for the quick reply though. Oh, and in hindsight, above video is probably not even one of the best she uploaded. Can recommend checking the others out if you liked it.
  22. This thread needs some Bass i think, don't play any myself but the following cover is absolutely awesome; BTW, what's it called what she does at around the 0:46 and 1:04 marks? (and several times later in the song)
  23. Only if it says to operate under the quoted document.;) Nitpicking aside, it doesn't really matter all that much for what we use it for. It's not like actual lives depend on it. As for the units of measurement used in DCS, no idea would like to know if it is dependent on server settings. (metric or imperial) Nationality your flying for or the airframe your in? (in multiplayer that is)
  24. Very interesting concept, looks quite futuristic as well. Like it.
  25. Not really, its just that they are/were advertised to be something they were not. You will only run into problems whit the 970 if you use more then ~3.5GB of VRAM Have one myself, and not encountered any problems.
