Hello to all concerned, I'm running the Quest 2, which took some browsing to set up right, but now it works for me adequately with DCS OpenBeta in VR, even in Multiplayer. What I'd like to do is change the keybind for the view reset to center from the Numpad 5 key to the Home key. I would really appreciate hearing if anyone has found a settings page for that.

sounds good. If you want to check out my mission it's here: UH-1 Scenic Flight - Marianas (digitalcombatsimulator.com)

skip to 5 minutes

yeah, I'm thrilled. It only works when there is an audio file as part of the radio transmission item. Check this out I placed numbers after the decimal on the Freq and it did in fact work with the ADF compass direction finder set to about 355kHz. Thanks Flappy!

I tried all 3 .miz from the thread, the last one I have questions about, but the first two worked fine. The morse code from the beacon.ogg spelled: CTLD CIRIBOB is it absolutely necessary to include an audio file for the zone beacon to work?
-
In this latest .miz you posted @Flappie I was unable to get the 35.2 FM signal, and the base you made is covered by trees. The first two files in this thread work fine though. The beacon is active and the localizer tracks both the cow zone and the moving AAV vehicle

hello all, I'm making a personnel transport mission for the Marianas, how do I use the mission editor to set ADF signals in kHz for the Huey to follow (like in the Argo campaign)? For say like a soldier needing pickup in a grassy field. Does anyone know how the 4YA server makes CSAR beacons in kHz for the downed pilots?

The altitude is 3200m and temp is -21C (although the weather might be dynamic so I don't know exactly what the temp was on my first attempt in the actual server) these conditions are in the range where you had the engine die at 21%rpm and that's exactly what happened to me. So it was just to high and too cold to fly. Which is too bad because my target was a mere 35km away. I'll have to wait for warmer temperatures or make the long hop from a lower FARP. Thanks for your research and sharing it. It resolves this doubt in my mind. I just spawned at Mozdok on a Quickstart mission. I'm at 220meters and the air outside is 79 degrees F. I'll have no problem cold starting now. Happy skies!

where are you flying the BlackShark where it's always below zero? And is there anything you have to do different in a cold cold start?

Hey all, I'm trying to start up the BlackShark on top of a mountain FARP on the Through The Inferno server. Left or Right will crank, but even after lifting the shutoff levers at 20%rpm neither of them catches and spools up to speed. Is there a technique for extreme cold starts?

If you are familiar with Hideo Kojima's series: "Metal Gear Solid" it would be neat to have a giant bipedal war robot to battle it out with in A2G. As it's radome and launchers became disabled it would be easier to beat

The mission of the campaign I'm playing through is glitchy as can be. I'll try re-arming approprately before playing, see if that resolves the issue.

will you elaborate on "copying back the config stuff" please?

Hello, Please update the DCS UH-1H clickable cockpit so that interacting with knobs via hovering the mouse pointer over them and rolling the mousewheel, make them turn clockwise when it's rolled forward, and counter-clockwise when the mousewheel is rolled aft--like in the F-16 and F-18. There are several that are opposites of each other. It's puzzling to try and remember which does what while trying to fly a mission. An example is while hovering the pointer over the UHF radio volume a forward mouse wheel roll turns the knob counterclockwise, while the FM radio volume knob actually turns clockwise when doing this. Also, the VHF radio frequency knobs rotate the opposite direction than the NAV panel's right above it. I've thoroughly enjoyed UH-1H campaigns such as UN Pilot, Worlds Apart, Argo, and the ForestRat's "Larkin Aviation" (which in my opinion could be monetized, it's that good) And the flying experience in the Huey would be even better if the knobs are all consistent.

I can't even play mission 10 and 11 for very long before my FPS drops to 3, and thats with the lowest graphics settings. I think there's a lot of bugs.

I think it would be interesting to have the ambient sounds https://rumble.com/vqmdq2-dcs-world-nighttime-ambient-noise.html during the night be a little less like the middle of the day, like with construction going on and birds singing, maybe just crickets chirping, and the occasional car drives by. Also, Looking up at the starry sky, what if every so often you can see a shooting star, or the steady orbit of a satellite with it's dull reddish hue.

Thanks for the tip, I was able to land the cargo upright, exactly over the green smoke, and even though a text message flashed up that said the Cargo was wrecked. Oh boy was it particular about where to land that cargo. You have to place it right over the green smoke. After dropping off the SF troops, and having to destroy six ground targets the superior officer tells you to fly back to Argo. Once you land and turn the helicopter off the ***MISSION ACCOMPLISHED*** text comes up. In UN Pilot you have to land on a very specific landing pad which is the second FARP from the west side, and the NorthWesterly of the four landing pads on that FARP, for the mission to end. I never had any issue in UN Pilot getting the mission to complete as long as I landed there. What I did struggle with was finding out how to get low enough to drop supplies on smoke while my rotor blades were already at treetop level. That must've been a bug. Oh well, thank goodness the program now has the screen that allows you to skip or replay every mission.

Hello, computer noob here from the USA, my ping time on US servers is above 300 lately, just wondering what is a base Mbps rate I will need to run DCS multiplayer smoothly.
-
I don't know why the indicators are criss-crossed from the switches for intercooler, and oil cooler, but I'll try to keep an eye on the temp from now on.

https://rumble.com/vpeux2-dcs-p-47-emergency-landing.html Why did this happen?
-
I open the chat window to type a message while in Multiplayer, and after sending I see that whatever keys I pressed while typing the message, the controls they're bound to were pressed, you know, like they actually did what I use them for in the cockpit, but I'd rather they didn't. jettisoned my weapons and fuel tanks one time LOL so I mapped those to my number keys. Still it would be nice to get a fix so I'm not flipping switches / pressing buttons unintentionally while I'm typing chat messages. thanks for your attention.

When I'm in the CNI page, I can dobber down to the COM1 or COM 2 lines, but once I'm there the Increment, Decrement arrow buttons don't change the channel. Is there another switch I need to trip to enable that?

My comm arrows no longer work on the cni page
